Hi all.

There are already other threads about the "Joining Encounter in Progress" functionality, for example this :)
So, if ZOS admins deems it superfluous, I consider the possibility that that they might decide to close this discussion.

However, it seems to me that no other discussion analyzes this issue in detail.
This is the reason why I would like to focus here, therefore I preferred to open a specific discussion.

@ZOS_GinaBruno wrote here about some dungeons in which the "Joining Encounter in Progress" functionality has been implemented.

As a result of the "Joining Encounter in Progress" functionality, in these dungeons it is no longer possible, after defeating the final boss and completing the dungeon, to retrace it from the beginning or go back, for example, to recover a heavy sack or a chest that was "missed "during the run.

The "Joining Encounter in Progress" functionality prevents any try to restart from the beginning and it sends the character to the final room.

Is that working as intended and supposed by developers, or is it a bug?

I don't know if Scalecaller Peak has been fixed too, as I haven't run it lately

    I've been able to go back and check for chests in all the dungeons I've run since the new change. Perhaps you have an isolated situation? Which dungeon or dungeons are causing the issue? Are any side bosses still active? Do you have any other details to add as this is definitely not the experience I've been having so far.

    I couldn't go back in these dungeons so far:
    - Scalecaller Peak (normal)
    - Bloodroot Forge (normal)

    There weren't bosses left and neither trashes.
    Simply the final room (after the final boss death) re-called me back with the "Joining Encounter in Progress" written in the center of the screen.

    I would think clearing the final boss would disable the (mandatory) port.
    I can argue trash remaining both ways, with adds clearing out after their 'leader' was nuked, but there is no self preservation built into the very lacking AI at this time.

    Once the main fight is done, all restrictions should be lifted.
    Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...
