Night's Silence 5 piece bonus no longer works

I’m not expecting a fix until the second half of the year. This fix is obviously very low priority to ZOS.

But at least we know that ZOS does know about it and that they do intend to work on it eventually. That’s an improvement over the radio silence we were getting.

I don't see any fix for this issue (Night's Silence set bonus) listed in the PTS v7.3.0 patch notes. Is this just an oversight or is this bug still too overpowering for the devs to patch? (Vamp speed and Shadow Dancer still work, so presumably the mechanic is still functional somewhere in the server code.)

Update: nvm, I just found the January 27 post from @ZoS_Kevin re "problem identified, still working on it, no ETA yet"

It’s ZOS. There are still bugs in the game I reported years ago. I don’t expect a fix until the second half of this year.

Information regarding an anticipated time-frame will allow the players who have invested in Night's Silence builds to make an informed decision about whether they wish to wait it out, make some minor retcons to their build/invest in different gear sets, or completely abandon the build and move on to something different.

Was really hoping it would be fixed before the next forced PvP event, I make serious use of this feature then to minimize the one-shots from [snip] that don't care that I'm only trying to do the quests for the tickets.

Still not fixed in today's patch. Odd that they would prioritize cosmetic fixes (housing lights) over something that directly affects gameplay.

How is that odd? Have you ever felt that actual gameplay was a priority?

Nights silence affect purchasing from the CROWN STORE .. Now they'll fix it

Makes me wonder if it has anything to do with the Champion Points system and the "Fleet Phantom" node? Perhaps there is some conflict going on and it's going to take some big adjustment to fix. I mean, if they KNOW what the problem is but cannot give a quick fix, this tells me it's a major conflict and they don't yet know HOW to fix it.

Thanks for the bump, @kaest.

The team is aware of this issue and working on a solution. They are close to a fix. However, that means a fix will not be in the release of U33 and Ascending Tide. However, we are hoping to have a fix available soon after in one of the follow-up incremental patches. We'll update once the fix is ready.

I sure hope a fix is coming soon. Entering month 6 of this has really curtailed thieving activities to near zero for so long I dare not expect to be able to do them ever again.

Today after maintenance I decided to test if the bug was fixed and the 5 set bonus now appears to be working now.

I'm sure it's not, after all, the fix for this came in an update AFTER Update 33.

I'm just glad it's fixed on PC... I had completely removed it from my builds and now that I'm leveling a new character, I'm glad to be able to put the set back into circulation.
