Surprisingly undeveloped customisation option

All that topic - is just my own wish/preference/suggestion/etc. and no intention to say, that ESO customisation is bad. If someone disagree - that's totally fine.

Good morning/day/night/evening.
I'm playing since end of 2016 but after massive race passive rework in Wrathstone (hope i remember correctly) i've wondering - we have so much haircuts, adornments, skins, etc. but... what about horns? And i'm serious now.

I know that bosmers got horns. I knew some people could say that this could ruin lore. But look on this that way:
1) It's "Gates of Oblivion" year;
2) There's "Witches Festival" next week;
3) ... all that talks about "Daedric War Celebration" ... get the idea, right?
I'm just getting so envious when looking on Xivkyn, Dremora, Xivilai, Skaafin... especially when we got "Gates of Oblivion" year long story.

Gameplay wise such option could be added in various ways like through achieving it in event, dungeon, quests, etc. (everything that requires players activity directly for more emotional involvment) or crownstore. Where’s demand, there’s supply, Ya know?) Plus game already got daedra races so they could share assets.

So i hope for any reply, @ZOS_

Well, it would be enough to allow it for other races in accesories cosmetics. But I guess for some players you would have to find lore friendly explanation. But I guess even half daedra isn't an option in TES, but still maybe you could be half bosmer with horns only

There are some masks in-game which have small horns, but I have a feeling ZOS doesn't want to fully implement real full-fledged horns. My guess would be for immersion's sake. Personally I'd love horns too, but I too fear almost everyone would be running around with horns if there were any.

Maybe a playable daedric race with customizable horns could solve your horn issue.

To be honest, in order to allow for this, you wouldn't even have to make the existence of the horns genetic or an actual part of the characters body. One could say that they were taken from some other creature, or even a Daedra, as a trophy, and are being worn cosmetically as a show of battle prowess.

I can't see a reason why not to have horns. I mean, not that I want it for my character, but lore-wise any physical transformations are a norml thing in TES. If Dagon's cultists get a red skin with black eyes, why not to add some horns?

Speaking of customisation restrictions - when are they going to de-gender the original hairstyles and jewellery? It irks me that there are styles that basically say 'You cannot have this because you are a man/woman.'

They've already released plenty of styles and jewellery since the launch which both genders can use. Just go ahead and de-gender the rest please.

Totally! This restriction is completely useless for hairstyles, and should be removed.

I wish they'd de-gender certain cosmetics.

But more than that I just want to wear stuff on my more humanoid polymorphs. You want to talk about underdeveloped cosmetics, let's talk about not being able to customize those at all.

Very simple fix for this would be to add a Skaafin polymorph.

Exactly! I've already proposed Daedric horns idea in Crownstore wishlist some time ago, I just hope ZOS noted it and with the help of your thread maybe someday we'll get our horns

As for the lore...we already got daedric skin, daedric eyes, I even not speaking about mounts, so...I don't really see any problems.

I don't think I like a single hairstyle in any es game , and the textures for hair are always awful.. just why 🥺

Non crown store hairstyles are bad indeed, they lack, idk, volume? Feels like most of them don't even have normal maps, looks bad...crownstore hairstyles is better but half of them are still meh

Character models should be upgraded, it's almost 2022, just look at other mmos, at their customization...even Guild Wars 2(2years older than ESO) characters looks better.
Same goes for VFX, some of them are just awful, Blade cloak for example, that's just a mess..compare quality of ESO VFX with GW2 or WoW, that's sad, really...

I'm not surprised that 90% of players who tried ESO left in hurry because of "dull graphics and clunky combat", that's the most common thing I'm hearing over and over.

As for adding "natural" horns to more races than the bosmer I am of the no opinion. I want less unusual and strange cosmetics, and more normal (to Elder Scrolls) looking ones.

Bosmer have horns and they're the only race that should imo. There are cosmetics that attach horns to hoods and stuff, they could add more of those I suppose.

From crown store we already got Daedric skins, spiderkith eyes, atronach mounts...we already can roleplay hornless Dremora..so why not?:)
But I agree that such horns shouldn't be added as an option during character creation...wish we can play as an actual Dremora who can disguise itself to look like any alliance race we choose at the creation

I find that in every game I've ever played, it is always missing some kind of customization option that I would expect.

ESO is no different, but for me the huge miss is not being able to easily change hair color at the dye/outfit station. I can give myself a scaly Argonian skin with the click of a button but my hair is stuck one color. Makes zero sense.
