Please, buff the overland doors
I just played a brand new robbery game. I was amazed by the difficulty of door locks it offers.
I was stacked almost on every door I met there. It made me want to open it even more.
Current state of ESO overland doors is just boring. You can open any door literally in one second whichever level your character is.
Just imagine, you can open the door with one finger move. It is nonsense and totally unrealistic.
- Door should check your stats. Low stamina? You have to spent at least a minute to open it and get a debuff after it.
- Door should be a challenge. We have an amazing idea of dungeon doors, which are blocked until you kill the boss. Please add the same mechanic to the crafting and vendor areas. Need a meal? Fight with angry cook to death! You don't even know what has a smith prepared for you.
- Door needs to be pro-active, have it's special attack plus millions of HP. Player must open it in block, interrupt it's resistance, roll dodge the moment when it opens. Failed? You got hit by door. Spend your soulgem or go for a walk from wayshrine.
- Door have to be locked well. It should be a fortress. Did you try to enter a real bank in the midnight with your backpack full of weapon and poisons? It must require full stack of alchemy explosives to open a bank door in ESO. That's how visiting bank could make you feel alive.
If you told me that door is not the main thing in the game, the only way we would check it is adding a good loot drop for doors. Try it and we'll see.
I hope developers will address this issue as soon as possible.
Next time we'll talk about buffing material nodes with poison traps and daedric curses.
