Speaking from a PvP perspective, I wouldn't mind seeing a new weapon/skill line. But a new class...no, not really. Any new class would quickly become P2W like Warden and Necro were (and, arguably, still are).

    So much this

Pay to win is fine. Next time a new class arrives I'm going to buy it straight away and win!

Some sort of wizard slayer class which is immune to magic and could affect magic users by reducing their spell damage with every hit would be cool. Not an original idea, I admit. But it never really worked in other games. If anyone could make it work ESO could.

What pay to win? Are you guys referring to DLCs?

    Adding this would be fun:

I'd like to see a tinker/engineer class that uses dwemer technology or technology from Clockwork City/Sotha Sil.

I feel we need new weapons, especially a new magicka weapon but I also desire another class to play.

I'd personally like for ESO to take on New World by adding some form of arquebuss. I really miss playing my Tinker in Warhammer and Engineer in GW2 (but overall I dislike GW2)

I’d prefer a major overhaul to werewolf and vampire, combined with the justice system.

They could start looking into other sub-classes if they can get the original two right (Liches?)

My vote goes for monk or bard. Or even unarmed combat skill line.

Out of all the suggestions, a dwemer engineer class seems the most interesting. In past elder scrolls games and online, there are some people who are studying dwemer ruins and tech. Doesn't seems off that some become proficient in replicating the constructs or use some of that tech to enhance there fighting skills or spells. In all the years that the dwemer have disappeared, we learned nothing from what they have left behind in terms of tech?

I like this idea. It would also be very unique to the elder scrolls universe.

New weapons and weapon skill lines would be awesome as well.

I think i hard to find new class for ESO, last 2 new ones like warden and necromancers was avaiable in game as npc also. I don't know if new potentialy class will be something what already exist in game as npc or devs make more work and create something from nothing that exists in elder scroll lore.

I will glad see classes like:
Bard - who will buff aoe party and debuff enemy and sing red diamond XD
Tonal Mage - who ressurect dwemer tonal technology for fight, also like sorcerers able to operate dwarven automatons like spider for resources boost for party, sentry for shield for party, sphere for damage, and for ulti summon temporary 2x Centurions but for shorter time than sorcerer atronach

or some new Ice related class, dragonknight skills are mostly fire damage oriented, sorcerers have mostly shock damage skills, wardens and necros have only few frost skills, thats why something what have majority of frost based skills will be nice.

Engineer/Tinkerer/Artificer, and tie it in to clockwork or something.

We probably won't get anything new though, no skill lines. Once again console is holding us back because of memory limits.
It's either just passives or something like the Psijic skill line, which is basically reused animations with new light FX.

Do we really *need* a new class? There's six already, and they're struggling to make those different. I mean, take mag characters. They all wear the exact same kit - medusa, mother's sorrow etc - and all use the exact same - non class - skills. 90% of combat consists of dropping stuff like elemental blockade, barbed trap and muystic orb - all weapon / guild skills - on your back bar and then spamming elemental weapon - another non class skill - on your front bar. Which is probably loaded with other non class skillss for the passive bonuses. Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit. But not that much. Before we get another bland, generic class which will - of course - have to be OP to get people to buy it, I'd rather see them do work to balance existing classes, give each of them fun and distinct abilities and expand the meta so different build styles are viable end game.

ESO is now in battleground with this year 2 new mmo's. I think that competition will be good for eso. Adding new race or class will be good move to draw new ppl or retake that who went to these 2 new mmo.

They are already in the game as well. Some weapon racks have them and some of the Aldmeri Dominion quests refer to them.

I saw some argonian npc who transform into Argonian Behemot, but this shoul be more fitting for bonus skill line than class.

Agree would love this sort of class but in keeping with existing types of lore like maybe Dwemer spiders get blasted out or something unless they want to add more lore which is always welcome.

I like your idea of an engineer type class using old dwemer technology. Did dwemers not have any projectile weapons? Maybe weapons that can even penetrate a sorcerer's shields, for example. A sharpshooter class. Maybe too advanced. If its good for Torchlight...except the Torchlight games have a class that can summon trains, which is definitely too far out.

An Engineer is probably the most unique and easily implemented option, it would also generate a lot of hype.

    Dwemer theming with three trees:

    1. Augmentation: A spell casting tree that provides magicka-dps and healing spells as technological augments.
These augments could include activatable buffs. For example, for a healing spell, you could throw a Dwemer augment on a player, and it may give them +X Health Recovery. While it is active, you can press it and grant them a shield for X damage.

    2. Assembly: A summoning tree designed around assembling different Dwemer devices for combat. While things like Combat Dwemer Spiders come to mind, similar to a Sorceror pet, this tree can be expanded to include Pylons that grant buffs within their vicinity and other devices that can be used to assist in combat.

    3. Mechanization: A tree that would utilize the existing Werewolf architecture. The capacity to inhabit a Mechanical suit of armor as an Ultimate and be given access the 5 abilities that can be morphed to fit the playstyle of the desired Engineer. This would NOT have the 100% uptime that Werewolf form has, it would simply use the same structure to make development easier. This would be a limited-time enhanced form that could be used as bursts of damage as a damage dealing build, battle healing as a healing build, or an extremely durable tanking form with tanking tools (such as taunts, pulls, major buffs) for tank builds.

The marketing of this class is also much easier, as it covers class archetypes that the game is lacking and the dwemer theme is extremely popular in the Elder Scrolls series.

I do want a new class, because I already have a Necro, Warden, Sorc, and Nightblade, but don't really have any interest in Templars or Dragon Knights.

I'm not sure what I would want because the class concepts I'm interested in are already in game (necromancy, summoner / pet class, stealthy assassin, druid)

I agree with the people saying that Battlemage is essentially what we already have in game - someone who uses martial and magical abilities.

I also agree that the classes are so homogenized now that there's very little, if any, class identity as is, so a new class won't really stand out unless it's really made to be unique, but in that case I think the classes we have need to be individualized before adding a new class.

So short answer: Yes, I want a new class.

Long answer: I want a new class, but...
