Yes this new set is very powerful, but can be avoided. Stop crying and use roll dodge and break free. I killed many players in BG who use this set.
From my opinion this set is as dangerous as DK's Dragon Leap or Warden's Permafrost. Let ban them from PvP also (joke).
What the other guy said is probably just speculation. The Champion System is for progression in PvE. It would be better if all PvP was noCP. A low barrier of entry would be healthy for the game.phaneub17_ESO wrote: »Maybe they're trying to get more players into the no proc PvP
What then is the point of the Champion system if they want players to migrate to non-cp? ZOS doesn't know how to balance. I say just revert everything back to the start of the game and let the havoc begin.
The ever-present lag issues make using these new sets logical, unfortunately - you don’t have to worry about a skill not firing because the proc goes off automatically! This topic could just as easily been called hrothgar here, they are both showing in my death recaps equally… every time I die… I agree that we shouldn’t be too hasty to call for nerfs but this might be worse than the last proc meta or even the DOT fiasco.

It gives you Major Expedition so you can walk right out of Dark Convergence without taking any damage. In the event of lag / desync or not enough stamina for break free / dodge roll, the -20% area effect damage makes Dark Convergence mostly a non-issue with some light healing.
The pull from Dark Convergence is the deadliest part and not the damage itself. It positions you for huge Dawnbreakers and other area effect ultimates, whirling blades, etc which is detrimental to offensive momentum.
not even considering devs called a lot of players "pesky zerg" XD this sets has nothing with ball groups. They don't even bother them like Volcanic Orb skill or NB fear traps.Dark Convergence – Light
Developer Comment:
This set was designed with one goal in mind – kill large groups. Pesky zerg sitting on your keep or resource flag? Send them to the void by pairing this set with some hard CC and immobilizes.

Wanting to crutch on power you have over other people just because you've played for years longer than they have is lame no matter how you want to spin it. Your knowledge and experience for having played that much longer is enough of an advantage.

Typical sweaty BG match with each team having 2-3 Dark Convergence users. The entire game was basically avoiding the proc and not actually fighting. Whoever got the convergence drop on the other team first usually wins. Cyrodiil was no different, but with even more Dark Convergence.
I don't get the logic behind their balancing. They listened to the community and introduced proc dmg scaling, which was a good change. Then they introduced 3 of the most broken sets in ESO history and destroyed PvP altogether. Many of my friends quit after this patch came out (many of them had adapted and used these sets in their builds), and they actually believed that last patch was a good patch. I'm not sure why ZOS loves to go from destroying PvP to semi fixing it, only to destroy it even further the following patches.

Very balanced set!
31k HP down to 4k HP, all 27k gone even when I was the only person there. Imagine if I didn't have 31k HP lmao. Let's also not forget the pull range though.
Very balanced @ZOS_BrianWheeler. Let's not talk about counters but focus on the damage. You said this is a zerg busting set right? Did you also intentionally buff it to also bust 1 person too?

I do not want to change my class to DK or WD to get overpowered ultimate or skill. I do not want to change my build to stamina. I like to play magicka sorcerer in all games. I like powerful skills and speed in cost of survivability. Current class and weapon skills disbalanced and have a little choice. Only few builds are viable. ZOS do not want to change this. So the only way is to get new power and variety of builds are set items. It was other overpowered sets. For example Zaan. Many players in BG was also complain about this set. Mythic items also. At release time some of them was owerpowered then nerfed to useless.
