Typical sweaty BG match with each team having 2-3 Dark Convergence users. The entire game was basically avoiding the proc and not actually fighting. Whoever got the convergence drop on the other team first usually wins. Cyrodiil was no different, but with even more Dark Convergence.
I don't get the logic behind their balancing. They listened to the community and introduced proc dmg scaling, which was a good change. Then they introduced 3 of the most broken sets in ESO history and destroyed PvP altogether. Many of my friends quit after this patch came out (many of them had adapted and used these sets in their builds), and they actually believed that last patch was a good patch. I'm not sure why ZOS loves to go from destroying PvP to semi fixing it, only to destroy it even further the following patches.
I don't understand why they don't just cut pvp and pve set totally.
Just made pvp set being useable pvp only and same for pve, easy balance.
Their is plenty of set available from pvp, just rework and balance them, end of those problem.
not even considering devs called a lot of players "pesky zerg" XD this sets has nothing with ball groups. They don't even bother them like Volcanic Orb skill or NB fear traps.Dark Convergence – Light
Developer Comment:
This set was designed with one goal in mind – kill large groups. Pesky zerg sitting on your keep or resource flag? Send them to the void by pairing this set with some hard CC and immobilizes.
Yes this new set is very powerful, but can be avoided. Stop crying and use roll dodge and break free. I killed many players in BG who use this set.
From my opinion this set is as dangerous as DK's Dragon Leap or Warden's Permafrost. Let ban them from PvP also (joke).
I agree with this. When player try to avoid this pull effect, he can't deal damage or heal. And this effect is AOE This is the main reason to use this set for myself.SkaraMinoc wrote: »The pull from Dark Convergence is the deadliest part and not the damage itself.

It gives you Major Expedition so you can walk right out of Dark Convergence without taking any damage. In the event of lag / desync or not enough stamina for break free / dodge roll, the -20% area effect damage makes Dark Convergence mostly a non-issue with some light healing.
The pull from Dark Convergence is the deadliest part and not the damage itself. It positions you for huge Dawnbreakers and other area effect ultimates, whirling blades, etc which is detrimental to offensive momentum.

In every dev comment in the patch notes they indicate sets are for large zergs which ball groups are not.
Makes you wonder where they are coming from.
Just an FYI, Dark Convergnce pulled me throgh a tower wall twice... not sure if tower walls are some how not the same has a keep wall ??
Rubbish sets are rubbish! ESO at times can be such a great game, but the lack of quality assurance testers to help ensure that new sets and features aren't off-kilter is staggering...

New sets are always used and people always complain for the first little while. This happens in every single game.
