Poll Whats your opinion on dlc dungeons?

Not a fan. Too time consuming and one shot death mechanics are just really annoying and a rather cheap shallow way to increase difficulty.

Questing is what I mainly play ESO for, and some of the best quests are in dungeons. Just a shame the stories are near impossible to follow in group context. Especially when playing vet which just (for me) super stressful rather than fun.

Some of the best content in the game. The 4-man content is this game's strongest point IMO, aside from the more casual content they focus on.

Trials is even worse... i have been kicked of some guilds because i couldn't show up for the trial it's stressful for me.

I mean... if you're signing up for a trial which you then don't turn up for, you're messing the run up for ELEVEN OTHER PEOPLE, so you can't really blame them for kicking you because you decide not to turn up for content. Or even if it's joining a guild and not signing up for content and contributing. Your guild spot can go to someone who will.
However what pisses me off is that these vet dlc dungeons pop up when you do daily dungeon, it's insanely annoying.
The fact all the achievements are insane for the older dlc dungeons is even worse... no death runs... on a dungeon full of insta kills? for real? you bet i'll never have that necro personality.

Lmao if I can get the worm personality legitimately, then anyone can get the worm personality legitimately. And Fang Lair is genuinely not full of instakills. There are only a few of those mechanics and they can all be avoided or dealt with in a way that is not dying if you have a half decent tank and know what you need to target first.

Other: I don't do dungeons of any sort. My satellite ping makes group content - not possible (I'm NOT going to foist high ping on a group - just not going to happen).

Honestly I find non DLC dungeons are easy and boring now.
I don't love all the HM mechanics of all the DLC dungeons, but it's the challenge that makes it interesting. Beating the Dread Cellar HM the other night was an awesome feeling.
I just wish the dungeon sets were rewarding for PvE instead of meme proc sets.

I'll run normal of my friends feel like it but I won't even do normal with randoms anymore, much less vet. I don't care enough to use youtube etc to learn mechanics and all my builds are geared up for pvp.

I like the stories but you never get a chance to listen to them. I'd like an easy difficulty I can just solo and do the quest, wouldn't even care if it didnt drop any gear or give any xp.

Vet dlc dungeons are arguably the best non-pvp aspect of the game, that involves fighting stuff

I just don't have the playtime to commit to working on veteran grade skills, so it's stressful when I do manage to get into a group to do one. I don't do pugs but even with guild friends I feel great pressure to contribute meaningfully so if I mess up and die during a boss fight it stresses me out even though my guildies are super nice and never complain or hold mistakes against anyone. That's just my personality. Vet trials are right out, I feel like I would have to dedicate my life to laboring at "gitting gud" enough to not feel like a 13th wheel. And I don't like that feeling, but it's just something I deal with so I miss out on a good amount of content. If it was easier to put a group together at the spur of the moment...basically, if pugs weren't 1000% guaranteed to be awful...I'd probably manage to do more, but it takes so long to get a group together with people I know, waiting on this one or that to finish something or someone to sign on, etc., that it's just not something I can normally do.

I really like them as long as it isn't a rush through. Did the 2 new dungeons last night with 3 guild friends blind, not reading up on them and really enjoyed both of them. I don't do pledges or randoms routinely , but I do like to do the dungeons at least once. If I enjoy them I will do them more

I buy them complete them once and that’s it. No time for people getting argumentative over who’s doing what, this, that and the other.
ZOS/MS just stop with the release of 4 dungeons a year. It’s old hat now, boring! Release some decent content-areas quests etc .
Two half zones each year just doesn’t do it! The “main” one costs a fortune to be completed in a week or two. The next is always subpar, like it should of been there anyway.

I really enjoy them, most of the time, because of the challenge. That includes pugs where a one or two players might be a little out of their depth progression wise, but still able to contribute to the group enough for a clear and are willing/able to learn on the fly, and at times their clears are more rewarding for me than my own. Getting a random group that's competent and earning an unexpected achievement also feels great. It is unfortunate that sometimes, often even, players come in from group finder and just don't have it takes, or they have the basic skills but refuse to cooperate with the group and/or respect the mechanics.

I like dlc dungeons. But not all of them. For example... Stone Garden hm too crazy. Same with Unhollowed Grave and Moongrave Fane hms. Simple vet too easy usually. Need some balance between difficulties.
Also, i wanna see more skins and personalities as rewards for no death, speed run and hm.
Remember worm wizard and beast? More please.

I love the releases of new DLC dungeons. Me and my buddies always love going in first day to blind run and figure mechanics out, etc. HM's in Dread Cellar were pretty challenging especially the last boss (we didn't do secret bosses and had no buffs X) )...That fire DOT is nasty, lol...plenty of wipes but we're per usual working on it until we get our trifectas just wish we all had more time last night. Going to work on Red Petal later today too....fun times B)

DLC dungeons have become so mechanics-heavy that pugging it even on normal requires looking online for a walkthrough and hoping you get a group that has a real healer and tank or 4 dps that can do enough damage to complete.

One and done for me, that’s as good as it gets.

    It's really about incentive.

Generally speaking better gear drops from the harder content, which is as it should be.

So the players that want to optimise their builds will do DLC's to get the gear they want :)

I wouldn't ever buy them. I just get them included with my sub. Now solo vet arenas are worth buying and quite enjoyable( at least the first couple times running them).
I wrote a poem that I titled, "The ganker's delight."

As you lay upon the ground, cry not little pawn.
The pain will pass as quickly as my blade did take you,
but my delight will last and you will respawn.
My heart simply cannot contain my joy, when I ply my trade.

The fault lies with you, your skill was lacking.
Now your salt is mine forever, can't you hear the laughing?
Once you were so proud and now you are reduced to this.
    A miserable, loud deuced fool.

With every tear you drip, with every excuse you let slip.
All of your insecurities and worries bring a smile to my lip.
From your despair I have ripped endless glories,
but our affair is over now. Be afraid for I will return for more.

I have received many titles, to my allies I am The sniper Emperor and Grand champion hero of the Pact. However these titles mean little to me, it is the ones given to me by my victims that I prefer. To them I am "Xv1er", "trash", "no balls", "zerger", "noob", "cringe", "no skill", "camper", "100% new", "the reason this game is dying", "pathetic", "a sack of piece of [snip]", "mediocre", "absolute inbred", "beyond a virgin", "ganky dork", "fat smelly 40yr old virgin", "little girl", "daddy", "exploiting loser", and every [snipped] word known to man.

Vet DLC dungeons feature some of the most interesting mechanics, and they're also one of the few areas in the game which enables you to make random people progress, if you enjoy that. I for one find teaching newbies how to do them very rewarding, even more so considering that it's pretty much the only instance in which you'll interact with people when running PUG dungeons. A good chunk of my friend list is composed of former randoms who added me after a vet DLC run.

I would leave the game if it wasn’t for vet DLC dungeons. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of other things I love in this game. But only the tanking in hard content could keep me for 6 years and counting.

Really the poll needs to be checkboxes not X!

The poll shows that about -
(1,2,3,4) 45% of players dislike Vet DLC dungeons
(5,6) 49% of players like Vet DLC dungeons
    (7) 3% of players don't care
