I mean I agree that ZOS needs to update the map to be a bit more accurate, but I worked with the ingame map they used to give a general idea of possible zones based on region names. Ofc it’s not perfect. Kinda shocked at how toxic this got lol. Wasn’t aware the elder scrolls community cartographers were so stringent :anguished:

I hope my post didn't come off as toxic to you, Vaoh , its not my intention, and I actually enjoyed reading your post.

Map stuff is a big issue to many of us. As Ratzkifal pointed out, some of us have been trying to point out the inconsistencies and sloppiness in the map for 7 years, and never gotten any acknowledgement on them, even though most of the fixes would seem to be relatively easy. Contrast that with how much effort and energy ZOS has invested in appeasing demands in every other area of the game, and you can't argue that its anything but passion and optimism that keeps any "Elder Scrolls Community Cartographers" around to appeal to ZOS to take some care with Tamriel at all.

Anyway, its hard to have a discussion about possible upcoming zones based on any sort of map without this sort of topic coming up. I personally don't have any problem with your predictions, just wanted to point out an issue with one of them.

No worries! And same for Ratzkifal. The zones I tried to create were strictly from the eso ingame map, using the regions I could decipher from various community sources. While doing this believe me I realized the eso map was way off. The zone borders I ended up using like with The Pale, Winterhold, Whiterun Hold are just generalized and are not meant to be perfectly accurate at all. Also I had to follow the 1 big and 1 small zone per year idea.

It was just a post for fun though and personally I’d love to see Hammerfell most. I rarely post these days so I may take a bit to reply, no hard feelings at all.

Given how the last two years were based on previously, highly-visited locations within the Elder Scrolls franchise, I don't think they will bother going somewhere unique which has never been seen before. I can only hope they prove me wrong.

Black Marsh, Nibenay, Colovia, Falinesti or Hammerfell. Some of those are just wishful thinking from me.

I'd love some bosmer or breton stuff, but the places they have left are small. Biggest is probably Falinesti, which could be made in several layers.

Black Marsh is big, but a big chunk of it is not habitable for non-argonians, but we still got places like Thornmarsh.

Nibenay and Colovia. I want my proper imperial chapter. Blackwood doesn't feel like one and more 30% imperial, 20% argonian, and 50% daedra and other stuff. Less deadra antagonists!
Both Colovia with Skingrad and Nibenay with Bravil and the introduction of Mir Corrup could be made into chapters.

Hammerfell is one of the least explored, so they are likely.

Some more orc stuff would be nice too, but they pretty much only have Wrothgar so not much to do there.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Anywhere without a "oh no it's the end of the world!" quest-line would be a very nice change.

And Murkmire. All these princes wanting to take over Nirn or ancient evil returning boogaloo is tiring. Give us some stories with mortals of Tamriel just being themselves. Plenty of them are antagonistic enough.

One thing to note is that Blackwood connects to both an AD zone and an EP zone. This is the first time that's happened, and it could mean that the other two links are due in the new two chapters.

If so, then Central Skyrim, and Colovia/Eastern Hammerfell would be likely.

Technicly, you can go from glenumbra all the way to greenshade already but you need to to pass trought blackreach

I remember from one of Blackwood dev streams, devs told that this chapter is great opportunity to introduce Imperial companion. For some reason other companion is Dunmer so we can guess that they don't plan any Dunmer chapter next year - it looks like for another chapter other races will fit better.

Argonian and Imperial zones will be to soon after Blackwood, Skyrim also after Greymoor. I believe it can be Hammerfell as most different from last two years, eventually west Cyrodiil - it's again imperial content, but completely different vibe than Blackwood stuff.

Of course it can be also another continent or daedric realm (Shivering Isles!), so who knows...

Hopefully one day the whole map will be filled out and, if there are still players, they will expand out of Temriel, perhaps into Akavir or Yokuda. Imagine adding new playable races down the line to fit with the respective lore of those places. Probably won't happen? But it would be cool. Anyway, I'd love to see more Morrowind or Argonia open up soon.

    Agree 100%

The social / political quests are great, we don't need harrowstorms or anything new, some base game anchors would be fine (I assume Molag Bal was attacking everywhere). Daedric side-quests tied to shrines would be good as well.

weave in some Thieves Guild stuff and a bit of Morag Tong add side quests and new dailies for the Fighter's and Mage's guilds and on top of that have a cracking overarching plot that twists , turns and is actually quite taxing to complete.

Flesh out and give volume to the stuff that's already established - mean I joined all these darn guilds and solved their problems in the base area, so what are they doing on the other side of the continent?

And the Undaunted, now there is a bunch of rascals that need a fascist Imperial crackdown, dragged into line and taxed to the hilt!

The writing is not declining, many of the Blackwood storylines were amusing and imaginative, (Murkmire, for me. is the weakest area and the place I least want to return to) but, yes, less god bashing and more complex social stuff would be a fresh change.
