Bump Sithis resistances up to 5,280 or 5,940 and call it a day.

If Breath of Life starts absorbing meteors, we've got bigger problems than 2k armor on a Mythic.

IIRC the sorc ability did once absorb meteors, like how dks could once bounce them back and forth.

Neither has mine, often the game is so delayed it absorbs nothing. It definetly doesn't catch a meteor though 😂

BoL is ball of lightning. Unless you are joking :)

It wasn't DK, it was 1h&shield defensive stance reflection.

100% swear on my account that old DK wings could reflect meteors, but they nerfed that in 2015 (?) well before they completely clipped the wings (and completely killed the last of my interest in open world DK).

They nerfed it in 2019 I believe after the elsweyr update... It could reflect meteors👍

Those were the days. I'm pretty sure it hit harder when reflected by DK's as well

I apologize for the misunderstanding. What did you want to do with Gaze that you now can't?

Nothing. Like I said, I don't know that I'd use it at all.

I main a non-proc magblade. As it stands, my mythic of choice is Wild Hunt, (or none at all, depending on my setup) and even if Sithis got a bit of a bump I doubt that would change. I tried out Sithis on the PTS both before and after the nerf, and it didn't really interest me. On a light armor NB, I think Chudan is a better choice — Major Resolve drops off in just 6 seconds so getting 100% uptime on it is useful, the extra 2k health isn't a big draw for me, and Chudan allows the use of another mythic. (Although I'd probably still go all damage with Balorgh or Slimecraw — I'm used to playing super squishy)

The only mythic I was really interested in was the Harpooner's Wading Kilt, but I was fairly certain ZOS would make it useless before it even saw the light of day on the live server (and they did not disappoint.)

My post was more or less just exasperation at ZOS' inability to even remotely balance anything. As soon as I saw Sithis, I immediately knew it was too powerful to go live — and so did everyone else, except for ZOS apparently. I also knew that the pendulum would swing too far in the opposite direction once they heard the outcry, and [in my opinion] that's exactly what happened.

Personally, I think I would like it if other people had 5k or 6k more resists and 3k more health with the caveat that they're not able to block or use a monster set/malacath. I don't think that would bother me at all, tbh. And that's coming from a magblade, arguably at the bottom of the heap. (I mostly play BGs, and they're pretty garbo in there.)

That's how I felt about sithis. If they want to be a bit tankier but COMPLETELY be unable to block and can't use one shot combos like Balorgh/Malacath than go ahead. If they ignore your armor, onslaught/Balorgh/acid armor then your only defense is block. Guess what Sithis fails at.

Not if you're a nb or sorc... that dk probably isn't going to land a single hit before their pen buff runs out.

If they aren't landing a single hit, then Sithis is useless. If you are avoiding damage while wearing this mythic, then you are wasting a mythic and a monster set slot.

Huh? Of course there are times when you would take hits to open or extend a kill window. Just not when the dk makes that crackle squish sound and turns green.

Pretty much, if you aren't getting hit then you don't need Sithis. Just slot other stuff and burst people that you couldn't with sithis.

Strip the Health Recovery and drop the Health bonus to 2500. Then hike the Armor back up to 8000.

Stats are now concentrated back into those that you actually care about and we get nice, round numbers rather than spreadsheet Frankensteins.

This is fine. To me the Mythics should be niche, not meta defining. If Gaze was someone's only reason to buy Blackwood, then it's Blackwood content that needs a buff, not PvP magsorc/stamblade.

Most of the sets from the Chapter are pretty underwhelming, it's not just Sithis.

Hard disaggree. Heartland conqueror is looking like a pretty top notch and interesting set for pvp, Deadlands Assasin is likely to become a meta proc, frostbite has some interesting uses too.
Some of the new trial sets are also really nice, the medium armor one could be bis for solo arenas, the heavy is really powerful and let's tanks use a different ult from horn.
The mythics are also not all terrible, there is definetly a use case for most of them.

I already wrote in another thread that Heartland is the best set from this entire expansion.

Frostbite is also entirely unnecessary and has already been demonstrated to be inferior to Julianos, a set that will buff ALL of your damage sources as well as your heals. It's a dead-on-arrival set unless it catches another significant buff before it's Live.

I'll believe the hype on Deadlands Assassin when I see it. The base stats are nice but the proc is 'meh.' An execute over 13 (!!!) seconds is like an anti-synergy with itself.

For me to use Sithis, it would need to either get around 5,5k armor or just remove the hp regen entirely and replace it with ~500 critical resist.

I don't know what the correct values for this set are, but they IMO need to be slightly higher than what they are now. I also play magblade and I am not considering this set, because I know that I instinctively block. It's not just meteors either. I tap block almost subconsciously sometimes and only know from the metallic clang sound or from looking at combat logs. It's a big thing to give up. I actually think it may suit templars more, any build that uses a lot of channeled skills basically, but even on my magplar I prefer a 1H+Shield back bar over a resto staff, so who knows. Will Spell Wall still work? I suppose the real winners are going to be magsorcs, as usual. Shield stacking and that helm for the win.
