Can you only get one box for the event? I got one yesterday but today it says Drops enabled but no progress bar is showing up.

Edit, just read the rest of the thread.. wow, this will kinda drop viewers for anything after the first day.

This is really going to hurt streamers. I get double the amount of viewers on crate drop days. I'm sad to see the change. :( But thank you for responding to us, @ZOS_Adrikoth - the communication helps.

I am generally scared off by streamers who are being promoted in this way. As if they cannot gather an audience on their own and they just lure us to them like birds into a trap with free stuff.
Let's be extremely precise in our use of terms.

All streamers who stream ESO are promoted this way - the stream team has more opportunities but others like me get drops when they have an event. I don't ask for subs (I literally encourage people to save their money), but I'll never get stream team without a ton of followers and be able to give console people anything (as gifts or contests) until I do. Drops give incentive to turn on twitch. People may never go out and try different streamers out unless they have incentive, then they may find they like the content. This is just a reason to tune in, and try any of the tons of eso streamers to find what you like.

*shrug* I've accepted I'll likely never make it, no matter how much I contribute or how much I care. It's a numbers game. So this is just another thing to hold me and other streamers like me back, even though I doubt that was the intent. What upsets me the most about this though is that they made such a large announcement about the previous twitch changes, and we all heard about it. This time, it was something my viewers had to dig up and that I wasn't even aware of. Why not an equal announcement? I'm so confused at the approach.

I afk watched an hour to get a crate. Not a fan. Crates should incentivse people to watch streams but it is having the opposite effect on me.

Thanks ZOS for the free crate I got for watching an ESO streamer for an hour!

Since I do not know ZOS promotional budget, nor what is costs ZOS to offer the free crate per campaign on Twitch, I'm not going to complain about the free stuff I get from ZOS.

For those interested, there is ESO Live at Home from 03/26/21 @ 1PM - 03/26/21 @ 3PM EDT.

Twitch says I have 13% progress towards a crate from watching the second part of ESO live (with Jessica and Gina), so maybe I will get two free crates today.

    Hey there @StabbityDoom

This is correct, viewers will need to watch for 1 hour and claim the Ouroboros Crown Crate reward for the Jester's Festival campaign mentioned at the bottom of this page.

Information on this, including a viewer's progress within a campaign, can be found at Twitch.tv/drops

it doesn't say anywhere that its only one drop for the entire event though. so it used to be we could get a drop per day, not just a single drop per event. so are you saying that this further reduction in drops is intentional? if yes, then it needs to be clarified that multiple days worth of streams will ONLY reward a single drop per event.

    thank you

P.S. if this is intentional, its not a great change.

To clarify this point, the drops are per campaign and not per day.

First, thank you for the clarification.

Second, any chance you could explain why? At this point, there's no reason for us to tune in every day when the drop are active, which means less visibility for ESO on twitch as your viewership numbers will suffer from this decision.

Based on the inventory page, this is still 15 mins of watching to get a crate and in addition to the jester's crate.

The most annoying thing about this story is that ZOS did not warn anyone about these changes, they just changed the rules for getting drops and are watching the reactions of the players. This is a manifestation of disrespect for all of us.

    Exactly.

THIS was the announcement for the prior changes to twitch drops. In fact that still has the old info.

watched the stream, my meter went to 100% but when I went to drop page it had stuck at 20% of 15 minutes - so no progress on that page to collect a drop despite 100% on the pulldown menu.

every time I watch an eso live stream there are issues with drops for me ( and yes , all settings are correct ). My complaints to service resulted in a "one time only " offer to grant me one crate - no explanation of issues or apologies or " thanks for the support "

So , ya, no more support from this guy for eso live streams, not worth the hassle on chasing down expected rewards.

update: went back to the twitch channel, checked drop meter and went to 2nd page -( within 24 hours , just! ) - and it now showed i had a crate to claim. clicked on that , got an error message at top of screen ( the usual error message in red that has appeared every time before and has been seen by many )

no mail messages yet, will check in game to see if crate arrives and will update

regardless of outcome it is a messy system that does not function smoothly or plainly - this is supposed to promote viewership and it just frustrates it.

No announcement for these changes. Why?

I think you know the answer: they usually don't make announcemnets about unpopular decisions. They just make shadow changes and only admit them after somebody notices and a couple other people also confirm them.

I was wondering why the drops weren't progressing today, and why it took longer than usual to earn one crate yesterday...

If there's no incentive for me to watch someone stream a game then why should I even bother. I'd rather watch a movie on one of the streaming services that I already pay for instead of watching someone else play a game.

Thanks to zos, some poor streamer's viewer count will be lower than what it could've been until I have an incentive to watch again.

I watch Twitch a lot, but I watch channels that stream a variety of TES games, not just ESO streamers. Those other channels don't give drops, and I don't need an offer of a drop to watch them-- I watch them because I want to. Drops are nice, though, and they did encourage me to watch more Twitch.

Also, we know what is going on here. Twitch drops tend to turn into gems. No big deal until this recent crown crate now lets you buy the radiant apex mounts with gems. Taking down the gems generator for people who won't buy crown crates.

You should check your Twitch account to see if it shows any progress, and claim the drop if one was already earned.

Also make sure it says your Twitch account is linked to your ESO game account.

You should also check it frequently while watching an ESO stream to make sure Twitch says you're online and are watching that particular channel, because I've had cases where I was happily watching a stream but for some reason Twitch stopped adding to my progress indicator because it said I was offline and wasn't watching anything.

If necessary, closing down Twitch and restarting it should help.

You've still got over 48 hours to finish earning a drop during this campaign, so don't give up.

And once it says you've earned a drop and you've claimed it, don't forget to sign out of ESO and sign back in. Just switching to a different character isn't enough; you need to actually log off of the server and log in again.

I appreciate @ZOS_Adrikoth - they are always very responsive and this was not going to be a popular post for them to answer, and I know that sucks. However, it'd be really nice if there was an official announcement like there was in January by @ZOS_GinaBruno so we can all be aware of this major change. If you could maybe pass that along to Gina - I know she's crazy busy - it'd be great. Thanks Adrikoth.
