Was hoping they added a way for players to get those drops, while not watching things live. Like watching the stream within 24h of the original broadcast will still allow you to get the twitch drops, or something like that. How long will drops be available to collect from inventory? I asking because all of the official streams are held at night for some people so they having to leave the page open to get a drop passively.
Really not a fan of this! You've made it harder to get the drops by adding steps requiring manual claiming. It means more of them are less likely to be collected and I can see motive behind that.
Having to watch the stream for at least 15 cumulative minutes is a good thing. Its better for the streamers. But you have to wait for the chat notification to pop up which you have to select. You have a limited time to claim the drop as well. So if you don't claim it fast enough, you don't get it. Also, if you're watching this on a console, you have to swap to a pc or a mobile device to be able to claim it.
What was wrong with how it was being done before, in an automated process?

Will all drops have a limited time to collect or will it just be some of them?
Just theoretically if this one should fall asleep during a stream will she then lose the drop if she is not able to collect it until the next day?

Especially if they have those irritating jingles they play every time somebody does something pointless
I love watching xynodes streams except I can’t... I want to find out who ever put those sound clips together for him and bury them in the deepest hole I can find accompanied by a pack of hungry and disgruntled raccoons
Eyes turn towards the volume control…
Evil grin............... 😈

How do I claim and receive a time-based Drop?
You must be watching a participation channel in order to receive progress towards the Drop. When you watch for the required amount of time, a claim message will appear at the bottom of chat area (top of chat on mobile) for a short period of time, where you will be able to claim the Drop. If you miss the claim message, you will still be able to claim the time-based Drop for the duration of the campaign from the Drops Inventory page.
