This is one way in which CP 2.0 is objectively worse than 1.x. In the old UI, the names of each star were displayed 100% of the time. Now we are expected to memorize their locations or hunt around when we need to find a specific one. It's a shame this decision was made; it's been a known bad idea for over 20 years.

(I don't see any mods currently available to correct this; if I missed one, please point it out! And no, I'm not in a position where I can write one myself right now.)

It makes sense that there's a technical term for the lack of labels on the Champion Stars. It's pretty annoying that the Devs - choosing the practicality of "Warfare, Fitness, Craft" over more lore-friendly names - then chose the impracticality of not including labels for the Champion Nodes.

Combined with the cooldown on manually switching slottable stars that ZOS says was done to protect the server/database, I really have to wonder if ZOS wanted us to be moving slowly through the Champion Point menu, if players moving too quickly causes problems for them.

I agree, that was very confusing starting using the system.
Reason for no text is to make it look better, it also make it harder to use obviously.

I dislike mystery meat, especially when people lay it right in front of quest turn ins, merchants, and crafting stations.

I also dislike the navigation in CP 2.0 but I was totally thinking this thread was about the memento and not anything else.

Not only is the navigation a mess it's extremely bad for anyone with vision problems, plenty of whom do play ESO. Given the current moves towards accessibility in gaming it's sad that ESO is going in the exact reverse direction on this one.
