Blackrose Prison Grind

You do not need that much CP, the difference is minimal. If you feel weak at low CP, you will feel the same at high CP. As long as you have 4 actives slotted, you are fine.

I really do not get why people are farming like crazy.

PS: The new CP cap does let me spot the fake tanks easily though... 2k+ CP. /kidding

So if someone has ~2k+ CP they are a fake tank in your eyes? You seem to be making the assumption a tank player can't earn XP with reasonable speed, or they have zero other alts.

1st - even if you never farmed or grinded a day at all, game has been out so long that if you're a veteran player who has been here since launch, they could be 2k+ right now with nothing more than daily usual activities, zero xp grind.

2nd - why do you assume a tank player can't earn decent xp? Even if they have zero DPS alts, you never heard of tanks changing sets/gear to play solo content while changing back for groups? With alphagear it is literally 1 click to change from tank gear to dps set. Sure the attributes are still hp focused but for solo content, including xp farming, that would hardly matter - more than enough dps with a tank using tank CP + hit points but wearing full dps sets.

XP grinding in nBRP right now boils down to “I want the top rewards but don’t want to put the time into it that others have before me”.

No it doesn't. I have been playing for 4 years almost 5 and I'm CP 1320. I have completed just about everything the game has to offer except these two new dungeons. If CP was this easy to gain before i would be much further ahead than I am now. I like to do end game content and I play PvP. No matter what you say CP does make a difference and I do not feel like waiting years to be maxed out.

It is my game, just as much as it is yours. And me and no one else has to conform to playing the game in a way you think is ideal.

what's up with the nBRP currently? why wasn't it popular for exp before this patch? what happened to skyreach xp?

It wasnt popular cause those of us who knew about it kept it a secret in fears of a nerf. We have been doing it for over a year and i'm actually surprised we kept it so well hidden for so long. I attribute that to the fact that most of your end game players didnt need the xp as CP was capped so we werent doing it that much. But some content creators went and released videos about it the day the new CP system dropped and now everyone knows about it.

thanks for answer, but what about skyreach? it got nerfed exp, or is just the weaker place now since nBRP has been "discovered"

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/155852/another-huge-xp-grind-nerf

Back several years ago when Skyreach and all of Craglorn was nerfed for XP. The XP per mobs was considerably above that granted for other content and thus imbalanced and led to players playing to grind instead of complete content with others.

Also notice the same amount of vitriol amongst players saying it’s unfair that they have to spend time playing the game the correct way to get CP and go from 70 to 71...

The arguments of XP grinders never change.

Not everyone enjoys being gimped with vertical progression, ofc people want to grind that trash asap, especially if you were already at the cap and your grind was ALREADY over. Might I recommend WoW if you like it so much, they definitely got more of what you want over there and will be much more accommodating to your thought process. For the rest of us normal mortals, we want max stats and not ever worry about it again.

Even the jewelry master writs are selling like hotcakes.

In the last few days I've been slowly upping the price of them and they have sold within the hour every time.

I could kick myself for destroying several 100s of them.

I am so sorry, I thought it was obvious that I was joking about the fake tank thingy!

Play games like ESO for fun. All this talk about grinding makes this sound like a job. Already have one of those and sure as heck don’t want another, but each to his own.

Stay safe and enjoy the journey 😊

PS. ZOS stop the micromanagement of the green tree 🥺

nBRP is amazing for XP grind and not just that, but quite hard for us low CP players. I am around CP450 now, went in there solo and got my ass kicked around, but still got several CP in a couple of minutes, so it was totally worth it!
Went in there with a friend, he was CP160ish when we went in, minutes later he was CP173 :open_mouth:
Then went for a full run with two high level guildmates, got our asses kicked on several occasions, but still managed to finish it and the XP was fabulous.
It is my new favorite playground, even in solo where i get turned to mush in minutes i can still learn a lot about what i lack and need to improve, while getting CP like crazy.
Thank you all for opening my eyes about this overlooked XP and wisdom grinding spot! :)

I guess BRP was better place for some time already, but not many people knew about it, so everyone sticked to Skyreach.

@CristyRazvan This is MyXPView addon. It's discontinued so you won't see it in Minion, but it still works. Just download it manually from esoui website and extract MXPV folder into
    Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns

So the overwhelmingly best XP grind is behind both a pay and skill wall ? That seems fair ...

Skill wall? You dont grind XP on Vet lol

One of the best grinds is still Spellscar, in case you have the spot on your own - what almost never happens...
