You do not need that much CP, the difference is minimal. If you feel weak at low CP, you will feel the same at high CP. As long as you have 4 actives slotted, you are fine.
I really do not get why people are farming like crazy.
PS: The new CP cap does let me spot the fake tanks easily though... 2k+ CP.

It wasnt popular cause those of us who knew about it kept it a secret in fears of a nerf. We have been doing it for over a year and i'm actually surprised we kept it so well hidden for so long. I attribute that to the fact that most of your end game players didnt need the xp as CP was capped so we werent doing it that much. But some content creators went and released videos about it the day the new CP system dropped and now everyone knows about it.
thanks for answer, but what about skyreach? it got nerfed exp, or is just the weaker place now since nBRP has been "discovered"

Back several years ago when Skyreach and all of Craglorn was nerfed for XP. The XP per mobs was considerably above that granted for other content and thus imbalanced and led to players playing to grind instead of complete content with others.
Also notice the same amount of vitriol amongst players saying it’s unfair that they have to spend time playing the game the correct way to get CP and go from 70 to 71...
The arguments of XP grinders never change.
I am so sorry, I thought it was obvious that I was joking about the fake tank thingy! You do not need that much CP, the difference is minimal. If you feel weak at low CP, you will feel the same at high CP. As long as you have 4 actives slotted, you are fine.

"The new CP cap does let me spot the fake tanks easily though... 2k+ CP."
So if someone has ~2k+ CP they are a fake tank in your eyes? You seem to be making the assumption a tank player can't earn XP with reasonable speed, or they have zero other alts.
1st - even if you never farmed or grinded a day at all, game has been out so long that if you're a veteran player who has been here since launch, they could be 2k+ right now with nothing more than daily usual activities, zero xp grind.
2nd - why do you assume a tank player can't earn decent xp? Even if they have zero DPS alts, you never heard of tanks changing sets/gear to play solo content while changing back for groups? With alphagear it is literally 1 click to change from tank gear to dps set. Sure the attributes are still hp focused but for solo content, including xp farming, that would hardly matter - more than enough dps with a tank using tank CP + hit points but wearing full dps sets.

@CristyRazvan This is MyXPView addon. It's discontinued so you won't see it in Minion, but it still works. Just download it manually from esoui website and extract MXPV folder intoDocuments\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns
