This was the defense of the GREAT(laffter ensues) VET system, before the old now CP system.

People left in droves with the VET system.

    We'll see.

What was that about doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result?

    Greetings all,

After review we have had to edit or remove several posts for rule violations, mostly Baiting. Ensure when engaging in a discussion that you keep said discussion civil, constructive, and within the rules. If you see a post that is baiting in nature do not engage it with further hostility and instead report it for the moderators to review.

You are welcome to review the Community Rules here.

I thought maybe Zos had actually finally addressed this but of course it's just a referee...

    This. So much.

"Hurry up, grind grind grind to get to max level and reach that endgame as fast as possible"

Then, suddenly that player becomes bored and loses interest in a short period because they are tired of doing the same content over and over. Seems like self-inflicted boredom and a missed to chanced to enjoy what the game has to offer to me imho.

On the other side of the coin, a game should offer better rewards and incentives to get players to actually complete all content and not just parts of it that offer the fastest route. Balance progression in content in all different areas of the game. It's too linear in one direction or the other. Give better rewards for completing content, more XP, things you wont find by grinding the same thing over and over, etc. ESO's motto "Play how you want" should be utilized a LOT more in these areas imho.

    .

I agree for new players, starting off your ESO experience grinding levels is a bad idea that will lead to underskilled players and fatigue.

But for someone like me, who has been playing almost daily since I got the game in 2016, all that is left is the grind really. I have done every quest. I have done every overland achievement. Every DLC achievement outside of some of the trials and dungeon stuff. Every base game dungeon achievement outside of a handful (working on those now). PVP and grinding CP is pretty much all that is left to do in the game. Unless I want to re-run all of the same quests again on my 17 other characters. To me, that is more mindnumbing than grinding CP somewhere.

I think there is a distinction to be made. A lot of the people who are dreading the CP grind are people who have been playing for multiple years. They aren't grinding for the sake of grinding. They are trying to get back to max level. Something that they have been at for over 2 years in a lot of cases. And now, in order to get back to max level, they are looking at another X years of daily playing and actually trying to focus on CP gains to get there.

i was thinking new update will make me come back, i am 930cp, but now 1000% i will not play this game again, there is no motivation in this game, the gear is 90% the same, the raids there is no reason to do it over and over again, only to show how much dps, that is no reason, and pvp, where 20 people can't kill one, it is ridiculous, i don't want to say about the performance of the servers, i think i never played a game in 16 years with so bad servers and bad performance!
Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

I have been grinding Skyreach and manage 10/11 CP in 1 hour 20 minutes. this will begin to drop off more and more of course.

Using full gold training gear (7 body + weps), and Mythic Ambrosia. Each run of Skyreach taking aprox 3-3:30mins without chest, solo. No enlightenment.

CP 1020-1090 took 2 bum flattening sessions.

How do you reset Skyreach when you're solo? Are you logging out and back in, or...?

I believe you can group with someone who logs off and still do it. Though, I believe the buddy system increases experience gains, doesn't it?

Problem is, in lets say PVP you can't just play with low cp. U will hit almost to nothing and will get killed before u will switch to your defence bar.
