Survey Assistant - PLEASE!!!

New year...and I'm trying again.

ZOS..add a survey assistant. I'd pay 10k crowns for it. He can charge 1k or more gold per survey to gather them...JUST ADD IT!! plz

I wouldn't mind if you could either collect 5 or 10 of them at the same time, or ideally stack them and collect all at once when you need the materials.

I don't get what is so hard about doing surveys. What is so hard about taking a game session and just going around and picking up the mats for 2 -3 hours?

They give you free mats at your level ... and now you want them to deliver them too?

I agree if you have that time but there's a lot to do in Eso and if you only have one or two hours a day free it becomes challenging.

Weekly maybe 4-6 hours. So...this a feature that would be convenient for people like me. I'd like to not have to give up one of my game sessions to run around all of tamriel gathering if I could avoid it. And yes I still want to gather/craft...but just because I don't have the time that you have to give to the game, doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to enjoy it.

You can always save them up and then knock off a stack or zone in 5 minutes.

Or make them tradeable. I would sell them and buy what I need.

I guess some people would rather farm than do any other content but I don’t have the interest. I destroy hundreds of them.

Yes you can do a few at a time by riding up and down and coming back but it's definitely more than 5 minutes. When I start running out of mats I usually do 12-15 give or take at once and it takes a lot longer than 5 minutes.

Collecting the stuff is not the problem. It’s getting to the spot. If it not right next to a wayshrine I usually don’t bother. Only Craiglorn gets them done really. Then I only need platinum and purple upgrade mats and then only the mastic. So enchanting and alchemy surveys never make it to the bank I destroy them on the spot. I keep the rest until I need something then go cash in on a big stack. Massive waste of time that offers no entertainment. Make them tradable says I.

It sounds like a good thing for some folks. I'd never use a survey monkey, but that's just me.

I cannot but help think that people will be asking for companions to be upgraded to bots. Run dungeons, farm mats, go fishing, etcetera. That way you RP in an Inn if that's what you want to do. :-)

Thats probably quite accurate. But when you have 1000 surveys in stock it takes 1000 minutes to do them.
Ps, is western skyrim survey bug fixed already?

That's great if you have addons for it, but a lot of people don't have that option.

For me on console, it involves first trying to decipher the maddingly vague maps for a rough area and then a lot of running around searching. Sometimes I resort to Google but I prefer not to unless I really have to, because once I pick up my phone I won't just look up maps! Even if I do that it's not a magic solution, it's still open to interpretation because we don't have coordinates and our map doesn't really zoom in enough to pinpoint places. I do remember some locations but frustratingly it's usually the easy to find ones that stick in my mind - it doesn't save me any time remembering that the coldharbour enchanting survey is right by the wayshrine!

And I have to do this for every single survey!

It's not quick or easy and does nothing to enhance my game so yes, I'd like a way that works better.

I came in here because I have 127 surveys filling up my inventory right now that I need to find the time to do...

What I would like to see is a crafting assistant so not just surveys but even collecting resources, crafting a specific item (I know there is crafting guild halls not everyone has access thou), you could pay a fee and then after a set time they return with the goods or job done.

Whole lot of people work and have limited time to play. Some find time to do surveys, some trash them. You can play the game however you choose with your time. If that means you don't do surveys that is a choice you make. If you want the goods you play the game. That means if you want the materials you find a way to do the surveys.

We already have to many things in the Crown Store that lets you bypass game play and still get the benefits as if you had played the content. We don't need more.

I think it's easy enough to sell you wares to the many merchants, or deposit your wares at any of the plethora of banks around. Does this mean that I have an issue with people utilizing this time saving feature....no. So explain to me why you are so against another time saving feature.

I think we should play the game for rewards that are in the game. Simple as that. I was against skyshards and skill lines being sold also so my position has not changed. This isn't time saving. It is skipping playing the game.

Why would you need the mats from surveys anyway? With your limited playtime, you surely aren't spending those few hours crafting items? Right?
Just destroy those wasteful time sinks and be done with it.

Not everyone has the benefit of add-ons.

Personally, I just let them build up in my inventory. What I would love is if they would go in the crafting bag and be available for each character to find and use and not have on each character personally inventory to use it. Think this would be a great benefit for ESO+.

For those without it they could hold them in regular bank and still be available to all characters again without the need for them to be on each character personal inventory space.

Yeah, it would be nice if stacked surveys just piled into the same nodes. Like, you walk up with a stack of 10, and survey 200 raws per node, instead of having to run back and fourth ten times. You're still getting north of 1200 mats, it just takes more time.

This is an excellent suggestion. Letting the nodes stack would take a lot of tedium out of surveys.

I'd rather a crafter assistant to dismantle on the go. But as someone else said it would be nice of we could collect all surveys at once of carrying multiple
