Just say it’s for the sticker book, in case the set ever gets buffed. Sounds like they were trying to protect you from a bad decision :D

I’m curious which set it was.

    Kraglen's howl

Strange, that set looks pretty cool. I’d be glad if one of my random allies wore a set to give me free ultimate.

I am happy to hear that~ That was my goal, free ultimate! It may not be the best, but more ultimate means higher warhorn uptime from me + whatever ult you got.
    Hoping for more playable races.

It was hard to word this in a small sentence for the title, but basically...

Has anyone ever had group members in a dungeon/trial refuse to give you pieces of a set that you wanted and they had just because they deemed the set 'not good'? Like... if you want to keep it, that's fine, but deeming it 'not good' (whether it's true or not) just seems like a rude reason not to give the pieces to someone.

But maybe I'm seeing it one sided too much, so has this happened to anyone else before? have you DONE this? if so I'd like to hear your reasoning, maybe I'm just short sighted.

Edit: NO I was NOT using an addon to spy on their loot drops. I asked if anyone had any set pieces of the set I wanted and they linked a piece I needed in chat, but wouldn't give it to me because the set 'wasn't good'.

Did you check the level of the piece?

Level 15 may just not have been what you have been looking for. :D

Yeah he was CP810, and it was CP160/Lv50

I have a simple rule; If somebody asks me for a specific item before I've even seen my OWN loot, they're not getting it.

Nobody gets any item until I have had a good look at it and posted its availability in chat.

Snooping on other people's private loot drops is bad manners and I would refuse a trade just because somebody had done that, even if it was a duplicate item and they were offering a thing I wanted. Because other people SHOULD NOT be able to see into my inventory, or see what loot has dropped for me, until I advertise it.

For reference, I was not using any snooping addons, I simply asked in group chat (not whisper) at the end of the dungeon.

What a strange thing to have happen.
And you say it has happened more than once?

I like the way it is done in WoW: if multiple ppl want an item you say what you need it for (for your build, selling or whatever) and than you roll for it.

I agree with this. I can't stand those add-on's that show what people loot. What I loot is none of your business.

I had someone do that to me the other night. I ran Crypt Of Hearts, and after leaving the dungeon, I got a private message asking for the Ebon Necklace I looted.

I was nice enough and told him that if he ported to me I'd give it to him. But I did feel very put off by the fact that my loot was snooped upon in the first place

Nah just once, but it was so weird and I was wondering if this is a new norm now.
    Thankfully not.

Chance are he didn't have the item and just linked it out of his stickerbook to be a jerk.

    Level doesn't matter anymore.

It does matter when it comes to armor, tho.

I've seen plenty of bad behaviour around gear, but not that specific type. I see people hounding others for items they see with loot spy addons (asking is fine, harassment is not). And I've seen someone request an item, the other person demand an exorbitant sum of it, and if the asker doesn't pay, the player say they'll destroy the item, which...no, you're not bound to give anyone your drops, but being a tool for the sake of being a tool also sucks.

Especially now with the collections system, some people will want to fill out all of their sets regardless of utility, just to check boxes. Besides, what does it hurt you if some random wants to heal in Rattlecage/Ironblood? Let people play how they want.
PC NA, CP2500+. Character creation is the true endgame.
