Well I hope they also reduced the cp cost of it to compensate o:)

I wonder if the CP 2.0 changes will affect botter tactics at all. They have no trouble automating leveling characters.

A 50% boost is pretty lucrative, though. I can imagine a bot operation where they have an entire pipeline of accounts that they log in once every 12 days on a rotation to afk level until their enlightenment is gone. It only takes 65 days to get to the CP 350 level required for Plentiful Harvest 2.0, playing only when enlightened.

Given several months to fill the pipeline with a deep enough bench of accounts, they can be back in the full swing of mat harvesting with 1.36x-1.5x the yield, depending on whether they have Plentiful Harvest now or not.

    They did.
Plentiful Harvest now costs 10 points per stage, down from 20, and reduced the chance of activating to 10% per stage, down from 20%

Shame, I was really thrilled about this passive. Maybe something in between lik 75 points for 75% chance? Can we negotiate? :)
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

How positive are you 1.1 to 1.5 boost on harvesting. plus refinement boost cp on top of that is not already enough to sufficiently impact the temper market?

In the end gold mats dropping to 20g a piece wouldn't really benefit the game at all....

Even if they returned this to 100% double chance the gold farmers would find new items to jack the price up on. Will take more effort for sure but they will find a way. I would love them to return this back to 100%, I farm for my own use and the changes every 3 months means I only update a character or 2 at a time before all the mats I farmed since the last round of whimsical changes are depleted. Forcing a drop in gold mats would give me more gold to buy other things I want such as motif pages and furniture items/ plans. Personally these are what I forsee going sky high in guild traders once no one is willing to pay 80k for a single chromium grain.
To me this is healthy to the economy not bad for it as some here suggest. If bots can't farm nodes for a lucrative turn around then we make them obsolete and force human players to farm for harder to obtain items like motif pages or with any luck run them off completely.

    yes, tested and confirmed.

I collected 12 surveys on the PTS with the passive and all 72 nodes were doubled.

Hmm... I might actually do the 2-3k+ surveys that are sitting in my bank. Totally random question, do surveys grant XP? I didnt think they did, but someone said the other day they were saving them to help level CP once the new patch dropped. I clearly havent done a survey in quite some time.

No, you do not get XP for doing surveys.

With the changes in 6.3.3, you would not expect every node to be doubled, only half of them now.

This test was done on 6.3.0 version of PTS.

As much positive I can be. Crafting mats for me are main source of income but also my biggest gold sink. So in the end it doesn't change anything except that I would be more self-sufficient. But that's just my PoV, you can disagree :)

Yeah I saw that. Still a pretty massive buff, as you stated earlier.

I am now considering liquidating my gold mat stash. I got to imagine that this is going to drive down prices at least a bit, even if they are through the roof at the moment. I can’t be the only one sitting on 4-5 figures of surveys. Haha

I got in the habit of collecting them when I got to a stack of 10+ on my account. Once this change came in I stopped collecting them on both of my accounts. I estimate I have about 1500 surveys between my two accounts saved up.

I have also already liquidated most of my gold mats in the past 2 weeks for that very reason. I expect prices to come down maybe 10-20% as a result of this change. My primary source of gold mats is still the daily writs themselves, and that rate isn't changing.

Writs = 30% chance of a gold mat each day
Surveys = 12.5% * 180 (new expected material gain) * 1/200 = 11.25% chance of a gold mat each day (as opposed to 7.5% chance each day currently)

So each account doing writs on 18 characters can expect 0.675 more gold mats per day per craft if collecting the surveys.

So from 6.75 per day to 7.425 per day (a 10% increase). Not to mention the increases from just daily farming and picking up overland nodes when 50% are now doubled instead of only 10%

Edit: I should note this does NOT take into account whatever changes Meticulous Disassembly might do, since it's still bugged on PTS and only lets you get (at max) to the same as maximum deconstruction/refining passives as are on live.

I love the math and your spreadsheets. I don’t do writs like I used to and have been away from the game a bit over the last year or so. There was a time earlier in the game where I would have put my total number of writs done against just about anybody, but that hasn’t been true in a few years.

I used to do exactly that. When I saw a about 10 of each survey, I would spend a day and collect them. About 2 years ago, I just stopped because I was sitting on more gold and gold mats than I could reasonably use, and to be honest, it was just painful. I have over 100 of one of the enchanter surveys in wrothgar. I havent counted in a bit but I think I am closing in on about 3k surveys total. Haha

2 days ago I finished a little project. I reconstructed 16 ring of the hunts (I farmed 2 the old fashioned way before sticker book) and made sure I have all 18 toons spec’ed for max writs and at the speed cap. Trying to hoard master writs for some CP leveling (I stopped doing those a while ago as well).

We’ve had the last PTS patch already, and it’s still a maximum of 50% chance of a double node.

Only ZOS knows right now whether it will stay that way til live. The rest of us get to find out in the patch notes on March 8.
