I looked at some of Leyawiin's image in ESO. And i/m in love of this city. But stop doing 700 slots half-empty "palaces". A lot peoples whould more classic 400 or 600 slots (like in Solitude) houses. And not so giant like Alpine Gallery

They could open up some of the empty houses that exist in most of the cities and sell them off as player properties. Those are of a reasonable size.

Alpine Gallery is ok compared even to Psijic Villa where you either have enough slots just to fill the garden or two rooms inside. Thieves' Oasis or Colossal Grotto are impossible to furnish in a meaningful way.

There was the Telvanni tower briefly for sale years back although you do have to live next door to the worlds most evil city. Depends on your character’s moral compass for that one I suppose.

Yeah, gimme more 400-600 houses in cities! :)

Also me and many players won't pay 14k crowns just for house, even biggest one - it's just to much cash for game house. With normal buildings (not just some empty areas) wit 400-600 slots, I can pay 5-8k crowns for house if I really like it. Don't make houses for cash whales only :P

There is Tel Galen by Sadith Mora... but it has caught corprus disease rather than being a proper Telvanni mage tower.

There are 6 sealed doors in Balmora and 2 in Sadith Mora. I'd just love for those to go on sale as properties.

For me courtyard is to big and full of craftable bridges pillars and platforms what we for some reasons cant remove from there.

What surprises me is that they seem to deliberately place those expensive, big houses as far away from wayshrines as possible. I'm not much into housing but I bought a handful that were close to wayshrines. Snugpod ftw.

Giant houses like Psijic give me anxiety because I never know what to do with them.. so I just use it as storage.

I have the Black Vine Villa and I've turned it into an overgrown ruins that my Sea Elf uses as a hideout and a storage space for all her ill-gotten gains.

I've gotten nearly all the inn rooms (free and paid) and have decorated almost them all.

I would love to have some of the houses that just appear as set pieces in areas though.

Amen! Even now that houses can be gifted, I am not tempted in the least to buy with gold one of these huge empty houses. I suggest zos abandones these projects and focus on smaller houses with more furnishing slots. @ZOS_CullenLee

Large houses make people buy more furnishings, I suppose, but I haven't got the patience.

Most furnishings are bought for gold, not off the cash shop. I know there is the furnishings for crowns, but I can't see that as a huge money-maker either.

I definitely won't be buying the two new "delve-ish" homes coming with the new chapter. I understand they want us to buy them and block off areas to furnish the areas we want, but there's not enough ayleid or daedric structural pieces to do that.

I'm so confused by these homes. Not quite what folks have been asking for.... based on my years in the housing community....

I'm sure there are plenty of folks enjoying the raft of larger properties released each year. I just wish there was a better quota of smaller homes for those of us who prefer compact and bijou.

I'd suggest custom building in that case. I turned my Psijic villa into a network of caverns by building out into the area behind the direction you face when you port in. You're completely walled-in at all times, so the actual house (way too big to furnish) is blocked off and may as well not exist.

Coldharbour Surreal Estate is another good choice for this, especially with the availability of the Solitude walls and whatnot. It's got a massive vertical build area, so you can build down if that helps with the "lair" part!

I must be weird, I love the giant houses. I do agree they are not close to the transportation system. Although my stilted house is awesome if not small. I don't like that it's fenced in. I wish it had more of a view.

Leyawiin is Q2, you know. PTS houses are Q1 (hopefully).
I don't know about Red Mountain ruins, as I don't care about daedric no matter the size, but the Ayleid ruins are rather good as a house. It is not a maze of small rooms and corridors as a typical delve ruins, it is compact interior with one main hall, one balcony and one common room. The interior is also not ruined, so nothing prevents using its rooms for a living room, a bedroom, a dining room, whatever you want. Exterior is big, but it is already cluttered with a good number of structures, so you will never get an impression of empty space. You can leave exterior as it is in unfurnished version and still get more filled exterior than in many 700/700 existing houses (and all these structures don't use slots).

Although all the houses they have been adding have beeen absolutely beautiful, I have to admit that the main thing that prevents me from buying them (apart from them being completly overprices) is their enormous size compared to a very small slot number. I prefer my houses to be cluttered

Proudspire manor and the latest Antiquarian gallery were very well done in that regard imo. I am hoping for more similiar houses.

The current one on sale near Kvatch seems enormous , you get entire mini castle fortified plus price almost highest 17.500 , It "seems" empty Manor even adding new Dibellia garden goodies wont change much but you get sense of grand scale and huge property! There is one in Rivenspire Deadric style same or Markarah one seem too big for interior even too much stone and space ,yet again i never owned such a massive place. Curious when you fil it up, Pity you cannot preview decorated for those who are not on sale.

For the massive homes with 700 slots, I treat it as the devs giving us flexibility to block off and re-configure the space so that we can create different reasonable-sized builds. Who says we have to use all the house and grounds as they are presented? Builders have been very creative with walling off the Antiquarian's interior or using just the lava or mushroom parts of Bastion for example. That said, I do agree that a wider selection of more interesting homes at smaller sizes would help more people get into Housing without breaking the bank.

@Synthwavius, once cleared(cos -ZoS does like to add crap to "unfurnished" houses) both Moonsugar Meadow and Stillwater's have quite nice area's.

Ok Stillwater is mostly ice but Moonsugar has water and rocky areas and ofc as mentioned above Coldharbour Surreal Estate is a great building platform!

There are so many rocks and boulders available cliffs are pretty easy to build too! :)

This. Especially with the coming change where you will be able to port directly outside another house without the loading screen of having to exit it :)
I agree about the big houses - I find them totally unfriendly. I'd buy more houses like the Alinor Crest Townhouse (my favorite)

I wouldn't mind the scale, if we had more slots available. But 700 are more suited to medium houses, so it'd be nice to have more of those (with 700 slots).
