Most toxic class by playerbase

I main an nb in pvp and i'm the nicest person you'll ever meet in the game :) i have never by the way met anyone toxic in the game or gotten any negative whispers. Yes i too have been sniped and ganked many times but i've never whispered anyone about it. Maybe it's because on ps4 all players seem to be older folks. Anyone ever on mic is always very nice and like, adult sounding. We're nice and laid back. And old.

I don't like voting on these kinds of polls since I've encountered toxic people of every class, but if I had to vote for one.... Nightblade.

The general play style of Nightblade brings about a certain mindset in order to make it work. It's all about being the biggest jerk you can be since fighting fair is not the classes strength, which leads to failure being infuriating at times.

"How'd they pull me out of stealth so easily? Why am I not tanky enough to survive the magDK's pressure? Why do Sorcs keep streaking through me?"

Questions like that pop into their mind and if they don't laugh it off as just the game being silly they get very bitter.

For me, I have only ever received hatemail from NB's.

Specifically, the MLG 1/2vX kind. They do not like it when you kill them, especially if they consider you a lower skill or casual player. They REALLY do not like it when you then camp their corpse and prevent their MLG buddy from rezzing them.
Struggling to find a new class to call home. Please send help.

This is a ridiculous poll. Toxicity is on the part of the player, not the class, and most players in my experience play more than one class.

    Warden
Warden, and I have four of them now. I've encountered a few other Warden Lovers that seem to think the class itself is the end all, be all, and that simply isn't true. I just happen to really like the class, not because I think it gives me some edge. A "lowly" StamDk with loads more experience than me will run circles around me and my "Master class". For me it’s definitely wardens. The salt I get from killing their ‘unkillable’ builds could pile up miles high. Even tonight, one warden told our group (solo queue BG) that we were trash for not playing wardens with the cookie cutter proc build. And the very next match I get told to ‘[Snip] off and die’ because I killed someone’s magden.

    [Edited for profanity bypass]

Lol yessss. Land a snipe in someone's precious 1vx warden/necro and get ready for the whispers telling you to kill yourself. 🤣

The Majority of my hate tells, prob 99% come from Nightblades after I kill them. And they are all pretty angry tells, not just saying Noob or zergling lol.
One told me that I am CANCER to the game because I used a detect pot, and that he hopes I get cancer in real life.

I new (3 months into PvP, 6 months into ESO), and I guess I must be playing NB all wrong. In my personal experience, I die in 3 seconds after stepping off the platform in BGs. Usually, it's by take flight or a screen full of bitting jabs that do me in. My "spammable" cloak last all of 3 seconds, and with my magicka pool, it's good, for at best 3 uses before I hear 'click click click' When I do this awesome gap closing move, for some reason, my target does this super cool insta-stun and kills me in 3 hits. Dodge rolling to avoid damage? Sure do It all the time, usually into lava or off a cliff where gravity finishes the job. In the BGs, when I see an NB doing really well, I usually politely ask what sets he/she is running or do they have any tips for a new player. This is usually met with no response so in that case, NBs are buttholes lol.

I choose stamina DK because I'm bitter that they seem to dominate the BG scene with endless take flights and flame whips, and talons, etc... at least I'm honest so that should count for something. From my noob point of view, I see PvP as extremely unbalanced as I only see 3 classes in the top for damage (DKs, Warden, Sorc). I would love to meet an NB who can take a DK or Warden toe to toe without using cloak but I doubt that's possible, so I will continue to try and use the skills ESO gave me and try and get better and I promise you'll hear no trash talk from me if I ever do. :)

Title asks "Most toxic class by playerbase" while poll asks "Which class do you receive the most salt and toxicity from?" I'd answer those two questions differently.

Most toxic - at least in behaviour: Templars. I don't tank pugs much anymore. But when I do my heart always sinks when i see a templar. They're the one class that's pretty much guaranteed to run ahead, pull everything, scatter the mobs to the four winds... and then probably die. And blame the tank. Or healer. Or anyone but themselves.

Which class do you receive the most salt and toxicity from?" Hard to say - I have whispers go to a different tab and only look at them at the end of a session for lols - but wardens would definitely be up there. I think it's probably that they were the p2w type class for a while and a certain type of player gravitates towards that sort of thing. And they really don't like dying.

Never really experienced toxicity from a nightblade. I have though noticed that, now Im playing mine a bit more, I seem to get more toxicity from other players than when Im on my other toons. It seems to trigger people, or at least those that don't play the class or understand how it works.

    Edited as I can't type

I main a templar and I don't do this I do find just about every class most pug groups will run ahead and pull everything in which case if I'm the tank(which is my dragonknight) I'll just stand back and clap actually had one group kept doing this and then died on the final boss then they all whined that I wasn't tanking I told them they wanted to tank since they ran ahead of the tank and pulled everything so I was just clapping at how awesome they were....they didn't like that response.

    The troll class...

Like the amateur who decided to whisper me that I looked stupid. There I was straight out of the tutorial in level 1 gear....

Part of me REALLY wanted to mess with him, but I had better things to do.

the most toxic class is hands down cloakblade. That play style attracts toxic personalities that want to troll and otherwise be toxic. Putting a skill like cloak in an MMO encourages and attracts toxicity and toxic people.

DK: pins you down and whips you
NB: stabs you in the back
    Necro: 'hulk, smash!'
Sorc: runs away faster than you
Templar: 'death with a thousand jabs'
Warden: permafrosts you while singing *let it gooo*

Easily the salty nightblades when they try some cheesy one shot combo on you when you're not paying attention then you end up killing them anyway.

I'm not surprised NB's are waaaaaaaaay out in front. Every bit of grief i have ever received in this game has been from a nb I have bested in duels. In my personal experience, not everyone who plays a nb is a salty snivelling wreck and bad loser, but it's the class of choice for most salty snivelling bad losers and try hards.

I've had it all. Cheating because I use BoL, cheating because I stand in my rune, cheating because i use puncturing sweeps, cheating when I use javelin, cheating when I use my execution, cheating because i chug a pot. Basically, I've to stand there and use nothing but light attacks so it's a fair fight whilst they have zero qualms about disappearing into a plume of smoke repeatedly. Which reminds me, I'm also a noob because I use inner light. Seriously, these people should either quit pvping or play a single player game.

I mean it almost is cheating considering most gankblade players are 100% completely useless if their one-shot from stealth combo doesn't work. I've seen a few that are actually decent players but there is a reason why most of them specialize in bursting people who aren't even fighting back. The only thing they can beat is a training dummy.

Just show them that Cloak can be countered also by other skills than skills specifically designed to break Cloak. Impulse, Haunting Curse, Piercing Mark ... using any of these involves high chance of getting a rage whisper from a cloakblade.

    Warden
I voted warden purely because of the bears that block my crafting tables.

Otherwise, definitely nightblade, speaking as a victim of countless ganks, and as the distributor of just as many or more ganks.

And the time I went 24-0 on a cheese build.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

Nightblade but not because of "toxicity", I just wanted to say I'm really bad at playing this class :P Also, I don't think being toxic is exclusive to any one class. There's probably equal distribution of toxic players across classes.

And I'm not sure why people complain about the pets so much, while I'm a Templar I still enjoy seeing wardens bears and sorc's pets. I'm envious :D
