Most toxic class by playerbase

But mainly because of proc sets... They just synergise well with the high health/proc meta. With a skill that scales with health, does damage and stuns. They also stack health easier than other classes.

We need proc sets to scale with offensive stats, play it for a patch and then make class adjustments with this meta removed from the equation.

I generally find toxic player ten to play the most powerful class and set up for obvious reasons.

    Potato class.

    LOL

I am trying to figure out how the choice of class has anything to do with how toxic a player is. I guess the poll is merely measuring what experience with a toxic player someone has had but more likely just the class they struggle with most if they PvP.
Cloakblade is without contest the most toxic and the abilities available to them make them even more toxic and unbalanced.

The day ZOS introduced cloakblade was the day they gave up on class balancing.

This demonstrates my second suggestion at what is driving the poll. It is merely a class they are challenged with and has nothing to do with toxicity.

BTW, start using a counter to cloak. I can attest they work well once one learns how to use them properly. I enjoy hunting gankers and players I see using cloak.

No. Nightblade play style and ability to cloak guarantees the class to attract toxic players to it. The argument that people should use counters doesn't work because a cloakblade can just continue using that skill continuously while the counters are time limited.

Oh, no, the counters do work and they do work well. When I run solo I am generally going after the gankers and successfully use them. Just like anything else it takes time to figure out how to use them well.

Further, by your same logic sorcs with streak would attract a toxic player. I cannot tell you how many times I have trolled players streaking just out of range to have them chase me. I wear them down so they make dumb mistakes and kill them. It is fun.

DKs with leap, chains, and roots lead to some fun gameplay as well some would consider toxic. Ofc, when they could reflect almost every range skill in the game some considered them the most toxic.

I could continue but I think we both have made my point that this really has to do with the class a player has the most challenge with which creates a perception of the player behind the mask.

Sure, the counters to cloak do work fairly well, but again, they are time limited and the ability to cloak is not. So the cloakblade just waits a few seconds and reengages the fight from stealth after the counter timer has expired. Furthermore, the cloak ability does, in fact, seem more attractive to a person who is more toxic for obvious reasons. Cloakblades do tend to attract players that tend toward more toxicity in real life.

Can't really answer this because I've seen toxic players on each class. Typically it would be the meta classes that holds the most toxic players.

This sounds bias and not really part of the question lol. I don't think NB are hated for being played by skilled players, I actually think they are played most by least skilled players and that's due to cloak and snipe. There are definitely skillful NB's out there but they're clustered with a ton of bad one's.

Option 7: None. A class is a tool, not a person. It is the player who has the capacity to be "toxic", not a tool kit.

We danced around for a couple of minutes and he eventually got me, in melee range after a good brawl. This is how skilled NBs play. We then had a chat about our fight and the guy was very friendly.

The two of us have clearly had very different experiences overall with the use of counters to cloak. I tend to be successful in getting the NB out of cloak and keeping them out. I am not successful all the time and I do not expect to either.

I am sure some toxic players are attracted to the cloak build. However, we have nothing to support as fact that a majority are attacked to the NB playstyle.

I've been thinking for a while, there might be a (weak) correlation between personality characteristics and chosen class. I presume that some classes may have a distinct feel and playstyle which is more compatible with certain personalities. Just to take the extreme cases, e.g. a sneaky killer or a malevolent healer.

Of course player is the most important factor though.

I mean Snipe spammers are universally hated but I can’t take people seriously who complain about cloak when every decent player either counters or works around cloak it’s laughable to even suggest NB is toxic because of cloak when in reality most of these players will die anyway to a good NB player, cloak or no cloak and that’s not because of class it’s just because of knowledge of the game. Also I didn’t say a sorc should stand there and die but we’ve all encountered a sorc who has streaked away when they know they’re beaten let’s be honest.

While I agree on NB part, I disagree with the sorc part. If it's not a duel but an open world skirmish, there are no rules or ethics, there's no honor. Streaking away, to shield up, heal and return to fight is class identity. There's nothing wrong or shameful in disengaging from combat. You either win or lose, or at least try not to lose.

The DK pug tank we had last night on vet scalecaller.

“Hey tank you got a mic?”
“Yeah, but I don’t need it”

First boss pull. Our healer calls warhorn, 4 seconds later we hear second warhorn from tank. I’m solo dpsing middle boss, the other are on poison boss. Ice phase done, pillar phase, done, healer warhorn followed by tank warhorn again. Tank drags poison boss to middle too soon (roughly 40%) left on each. I’m now dead from poison, other DPS dead, tank dies shortly after, healer revives me, I get tank while sacrificing myself healer revives me again tank brings poison boss back to middle again and we all die.

Tank types in chat, “I thought you guys knew mechs?”

“Uhh we do, maybe get on mic so we can communicate?”

Tank, “You guys suck at the game.” Tank leaves.

Next tank enters, first try on this boss. Just needed some coms. Nobody dies, didn’t even need to bring bosses together to execute. I had middle boss down about 3 seconds before they finished poison boss. Smooth as butter.

Funny thing my healer says when the first tank arrived, “I gotta bad feeling about this guy.” Never doubt your healers first instinct!

Still funny but I mean.... if they are in their right cause you killed them outnumbered I kinda get it why they'd feel like that as nightblades have literally 0 anti-group defense in the toolkit (other than image which is honestly just boring cause all it does is withdraw you from fight entirely)

Most players I've seen fight a nightblade before (in the past 6 years) do so either always in a group or some kind of unfair fashion. I imagine it's frustrating if you know your opponent wouldn't even be able to touch you but wrecks you with X people and t-bags you (as is tradition lol).
