The problem is not only the low number of mobs, but also the number of people who are in there for the same reason. We are all trying to get that ring. Zos picked a bad dungeon to put it in.

The number of people can be solved by going in during less populated hours. That is what I did when I got my lead and found more of the mobs spawned. Also, wear Wild Hunt so you can keep up with others. I noticed many had the ring equiped.

Thanks @idk! I did finally get it. Normally I play at about 3am but for those few days had to play during the day if I was going to. Your advice is appreciated! Happy holidays!

It took me about half an hour of farming the mobs. What I found is if I killed the mobs too fast, they often didn't drop anything. When switched to light attacks only, slowed down, and focused one at a time, I got a lot more loot drops and then I got the lead fairly fast.

I agree it's a bad dungeon to have a lead drop from mobs. There's too few of them and many people farming, so I'm glad I never have to redo!

I spent about 6 hours farming this lead. There's just not many mobs and a ton of people farming them.

You can reconstruct Antiques too. Only reason to get 3 is codex, and no reason to get more than that.

Yeah, I like the dungeon, too, mostly because I have some characters who are normally based out of Daggerfall, and Bad Man's Hollow is conveniently nearby for farming event boxes. But I normally focus on the bosses, not the MOBs, so I don't mind that they don't drop a ton of loot.

Good point. Under normal circumstances, I rarely even loot the mobs in delves or dungeons because they typically carry mostly useless inventory clutter/vendor trash, if anything at all.

If you reconstruct a mythic ring, do you have to improve up through chromium plating before it's equivalent to the original?

No. Because reconstruction always starts at the base quality the item drops, and mythic items never "drop" in anything but red quality. So that's how they remain. You don't even need to have a trait item unless you want to reconstruct it with a different trait.

This one gave me problems too and took me a few days of heavy farming to get. I would say at least 9 hours of play time.

It doesn't help it's a relatively small public dungeon that's already popular due to the Ring of the Wild Hunt.

It’s weird to see so many people speeding around one shotting things in a starter zone dungeon. I took an alt there for a skill point last week and it was a race to kill the mobs needed for the dungeon quest. Perhaps not the best choice of location to turn into a grind spot for end game players.

Glenumbra isn't a "starter zone"; the DC starter zones are Stros M'Kai and Betnikh.

But yeah, if you're trying to do the quest or earn the achievements in a public dungeon (not just Bad Man's Hollow), it's a pain to have to compete with groups of players who are running around farming the bosses for XP or farming the MOBs for leads.

Yeah I've been trying for the past 3 days and nothing, it is really ridiculous that they put it in a dungeon with hardly any mobs at all. Pathetic.

Got it in about 5 minutes. The lead in the Alikr Desert delve took hours. RNG is trash.

I was able to find it pretty quick when i was in a group. Also the wrothgar boss on first try and i was in a group. Alikr dekve took two spawns, in a group. Maybe try grouping, it made the drop rate better for me.

The lead in BMH dropped pretty quick for me, just like most other leads. But it took me 3 evenings (that's over 10 hours, on the third night it dropped pretty fast) to get the lead from the chests in Bangkorai and because it was so boring, I combined it with questing, dolmens, lorebooks, skyshards etc. and while doing that I found plenty of chests, but a lot them were already unlocked with one or two items in there. It looks like no one uses autoloot anymore. Chest should be autoloot only so they can respawn for others, so that is something that should be fixed.

Took me a while as well since there was a lot of people in there already. A few already said it but ensuring you have a speed boost such as wild hunt ring, pots, or just simply rapids will help a lot...you might not make friends in there but at least you can get to the scattered mobs quicker than the crowd.

They spawn timer starts as soon as it's opened regardless if it was all looted or not
