Pale order ring - bad man’s hollow

Less than 10 minutes in Bad Man Hollows. And on the way out, I killed a boss and also got another Wild Hunt ring lead too!

First kill of boss in the Alik’r delve, had to wait maybe 5 min for spawn.

First chest opened in Bankgorai. Took maybe 5 min to find it after portIng into zone (I have map pins addon).

The other two I had gotten earlier, entirely by accident... First (and only) run through delve in The Reach, saw scroll on the table and snatched it. And I joined into a Wrothgar boss fight on my way from VMA to wayshrine, and got that lead.

So Bad Mans Hollow was the worst - but that was <10 minutes. Total for all 5 leads was maybe 30-40 minutes, including travel.

I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A LOTTERY TICKET TODAY.

If it helps, it took me like 20 runs of Elden Hollow for my first Wild Hunt ring lead!

I've had pretty bad RNG for Malacath ring leads. I had to kill every boss at Old Orsinium many, many times to get the lesd, and looks like I have to do same with Reapers March. But I can solo every Reapers boss with the Pale ring and its double exp so its not that bad. (I expect IC lead blues will suck butt...)

Im having the same problem with the lead from Wrothgar WBs, and all it is succeeding in doing is making me want to play a different game. I don't even wanna run the content I had planned to upon getting the ring, just want to do something that is actually fun.

7 hours in bad man's hollow
10th try on wrothgar boss
1st chest in bankorai(spend and hour looking for chests)
spend 2 hours in aliker delver
and in nighthollow keep it spawned instantly for me

That is a similar experience to mine..Chests too a bit long, and about five hours in Dead Man Hollows.

I cheated and used google to find a map of chest locations in Bangkoria. It had crappy resolution but worked well enough I was able to find about 20 chests in an hour before it finally dropped.

Bad mans hollow was definitely the worst.
Was in there for 3 hours doing the entrance circuit..
The chest were surprisingly quick, which was a relief as usually I have appalling rng with them.. I found a spot in NE in Bankoria.
All the other leads dropped relatively quickly.

170 chests, 5 hours in the alik'r delve, 32 wrothgar bosses, and a day in the glenumbra dungeon. xD The easiest part was the piece of paper in Blackreach!

This ring hated me but damn if I ain't glad to have it now.

I got it, but it took maybe 2-3 hours in there. My advice is, farm it for a bit and if you don't get it then go do something else for a while and come back to it later, just so your brain doesn't melt.

It's really tedious, not the best choice for a trash mob drop as the mob density is low and easy kill.

I camped a shalk spawn and fileted over 300 fish while I waited. No lead.

I stayed in the first room and camped the mobs there. Most of the mobs within the dungeon dropped nothing.
So after about 20 minutes of camping I got my lead.

Pretty much this. It is an initial main alliance zone so it has smaller groups of mobs to make it easier.

A bit off topic (getting the lead from Bad Man Hallows is what took the longest for me too) but after getting the ring my stage 4 stamblade vampire became easier and more fun to play again! The only active vamp skill I’m currently using is blood mist, which I swap out with hypnotize when I need to interact with an npc vendor. Has anyone noticed that a lot of npc vampires we interact with also appear to be stamina based judging from the weapons we see them use and the things they do?

I ran around for nearly an hour this morning on PC EU without any luck.

Tried it this evening on PC NA and got it within 2 minutes; IIRC it dropped from a skeleton near the southern portal.

Tried it again on PC EU after that and finally got it after 30 minutes or longer; IIRC it dropped from a shalk near the center.

guys i got the lead, and digged it out after complete, i got nothing... checked the journal there i can see found:2 but i got no ring it was my last lead to find.. how is that possible? it was my very first so i dont have the ring and not a second try... anyways after that i said ok lets try again all night long no more lead comes. the issue is how didnt system give me the ring? how can i shows 2 times found but in fragments missing and there is a question mark there... i got the lead, finished digging and got nothing.. PS4/ EU

Did you find all the other fragments? Are you looking at the right fragment?

Did you get the wrong lead? The lead for a piece of the Wild Hunt ring is in Bad Man's Hollow too. I got that first and had the same experience as you- I dug that up and then freaked out because I didn't realize it was the wrong lead.

I do hope you reported this. Zos an easily see this type of activity in our accounts, at least in the short run. They need to know about things like this to be able to fix it. Getting fixed is a different story.

Hope you get the lead again quickly and successfully dig it up.

I finally got the lead myself, but it probably took longer than any other lead. So glad we can craft additional ones now and not have to find the leads a second time.

Edit: I still think the issue is the low population of NPCs in that delve. When I found the lead I went in the early morning so there would be fewer players farming It works as I found more NPCs available.

Getting the lead for Malacath's in Betnikh took weeks of on and off decimating the wolf, zombie, and wasp populations. Here's hoping Bad Man's Hollow doesn't take too long (though two fruitless nights doesn't bode well...)

Last night I managed to get the Wrothgar lead on my second WB, the Alik'r lead on the 2nd spawn of the delve boss, the Bangkorai lead on my 7th(?) chest (no more than 20-30 min of searching), Arkthzand lead was just a waiting game, Bad Man's Hollow has been a grind so far. On the plus side, the enemies are so easy I can spend the time leveling new skill lines, like 2H, on my magplar.

thanks for the the advices, i am still at work right now going to check later again, it wasnt the wild hunt piece, i mean lets say it was the fragment of wild hunt, why does lead journal says founded:2 for that fragment. i didnt find it twice, just once and it flew away after digging.. and yes i found all others already. really strange one. no matter where i touch in ps4 / Eu ithey turn to dust i am running away from content to content really desperate and dont know what would be next

Just shy of 3 hours in Bad Man's Hollow to get the lead. Definitely took the longest of all the fragments. It's a bad delve to place leads on trash mobs. There simply aren't enough and they are spread very far out. Especially when the instance gets crowded and it becomes a race to thit the target.
