Can't use out of date addons. Anyone else?

When I log in all ou of date addons are disabled, so I check the "Allow out od date add-ons" box, click Reload UI, but when I'm back the box is disabled and all out of date addons are red and disabled.

I tried rebooting, relogging, allowing out of date add ons again, etc., but checkbox gets unchecked everytime I reload (so out of date add ons don't load).

Anyone else with this issue?

Have you tried disabling a selection of addons to rule out if any single add-on may be causing this bug?

"Allow out of date addons" worked fine for me, but I later moved the addons folder out until I see what the "new UI" makes obsolete.

yes same here and I could not use on pts server either. We'll have to wait for an update from app makers in order to use.

check and make sure your AddOnSettings.txt isn't set to read-only. 2nd thing to look at is antivirus/malware etc, blocking the writing to files.

Yup.
Checking the "Allow Out of Date Add-ons" box isn't being accepted. It gets wiped out as soon as you re-load the UI, if you try it with a logged-in character.

If you try it from the Character Select screen, and then log-in on a character, you get a second, instantaneous load-screen right after your character loads, and once that load screen passes, the box has automatically been un-checked again.

Also having this issue. It doesn't matter how many times I try to allow out of date add-ons; the box loses it's tick again.

Just checked Minion, it had 7 updates ready to load. Did you look there?

That's the first thing I check, every time before I start-up the game, so yes.
I had a lot more than seven that updated before I ran the game for the first time this morning.

What I'm doing now is going through my AddOns folder and manually changing/updating the API version number (current number is 100033) on the ones that haven't been updated by the developers yet, which will at least remove them from the 'Out of Date' list.

This above is exactly what is happening.

I also cannot access addons. I noticed they have removed the addons section from the settings screen. At this point, I will be playing other games until this major glitch is fixed. Good thing November is not very good in terms of the daily awards. I would not be so irritated if we had been given a warning that this was going to be a problem. I suspect there are going to be a number of problems that ZOS either did not anticipate or did not care enough to address on this patch. Hopefully they will be fixed before the next event.

It's not about whether I am updating my addons. It's that the box won't accept a tick to allow out of date ones. You tick it then it unticks itself.

Interestingly this didn't work to begin with, but now that I tried it again on another character it seems to have worked.

Can't confirm if it will now work on all of them yet because log in is taking an age, but thank you!

If I select to allow out of date addons while I am in the character select screen it will work but if I am already logged in on a character and select it it will unselect itself while I reloadui.

Same here. The game won't remember my choice of allowing obsolete ones.

You need to allow them in the character screen, in game with reload ui it won't work.

I don't know for sure if this is what finally made the 'Allow Out of Date Add-Ons' checkbox stick for me, but I made this change, and the box now stays checked.

If you are on a PC, go to your 'Documents' folder, then 'Elder Scrolls Online' folder, then the 'live' folder, look for the file

AddOnSettings.txt

If you open that file and right at the top, change the very first line

#Version 100032

to

#Version 100033

(and don't forget to do a 'File>Save' !!)

that might make checking the 'Allow Out of Date AddOns' box stick.
It seems to have worked for me.

EDIT:

And make sure the second line says

#LoadOutOfDateAddOns 1

or change it to say that, then save.
Just to be sure.

Even if you do that, as soon as you open your inventory or any managment UI, addons/UI stop working (at least for me).

every time I check use outdated addons they are not available after reload.
update bunch of them before in minion as well

Absolutely awesome, thank you so much! I was having to enable out of date addons from character select every time I changed character, because it simply would not remember that I'd ticked this!

Thanks @Grizzbeorn, this worked, i now dont need to enable all out of date addons each time i log in any of my characters, seems to have fixed the issue of it remembering my settings

only fix for this is to completely log out and login again then enable the out of date addons,thats what worked for me.Hope this helps

Yeah Grizzlebeorn's suggestion didn't work for me.
my addonssettings.text was just fine already.
I deleted my harvestmap and reinstalled and it still doesn't work.
At this point I'm not sure what to do
I should also say that it's only harvestmap that I'm having issues with. All my other addons work just fine
