Exactly right. And Vigor isn't even an ASSAULT based skill, much more in like as SUPPORT. They should have just swapped Vigor with Siege Shield and everyone would be happy because anyone using Siege Shield would only be PVP players.
Or better yet since SOUL MAGIC only has one skill they could have put Rapids there, and Vigor too. Since it is way more realistic that people will do the main quests to get those rather than forcing non-PVP who actually hate PVP to have to play PVP.
It was very luckily that I literally got 8 toons to level 5 or 6 during MYM. Out of 13 I only have 1 without Rapids at the moment. Guess I'll have to bring my new Stam Warden into BG and see how long it actually takes to level up.
Well folks I am so sick of how slow my horse is I finally did it, joined BG. The first session was very good, we WON. Nice thing is you are just a likely to get some good PVP players on your team as being against you, although we did have one lvl 43 who didn't do much.
I saw a lot of people crying about the Thews/harbinger set so I had to give it a try and it is wonderful. I tried it in IC and was impressed. Now in BG it was better than I expected. It is completely amazing blocking a templar who is spamming jabs/sweeps and using the light attack animation canceling exploit and instead of me dying the die while I am blocking. Mostly I am only dying when everyone is ganging up on me or when I can't bar swap fast enough, since front and back bar are different sets. Might stop using malacath so I can have both full 5 pieces sets active or use only one monster piece, next time.
I also really like that BG is only 15 minutes because just as I was getting bored and my hand started hurting from mashing buttons, it was over. But about 15 minutes later I tried it again and we got second place. I still have no idea, how to maximize point or anything and at the beginning I asked 'what's the objective' on both runs NOBODY even said HI in chat. So far BG seems funner than cyrodiil, and way more fun than IC/sewers with all the gankers.
So I got first and second place and my Assault went from about 2.2 to 2.9, so at this rate I'll probably have to do it 3-6 times. I'll have to learn how to increase our score because on the second run, first place was way ahead and 3rd place almost caught up with us.

Truthfully, I don't have a clue why the whole pvp skill lines are set up the way they are. I don't DO pvp. Serious. I pvp'd in WoW for quite a while on a pvp server in a friend's guild. I hated ever minute of it though I did "git gud". It wasn't fun, not ever. It's just not my thing, but for those who love it, go for it.
This whole rapids vs vigor thing is.... kind of I think a version of "well, let's just see how this turns out". Which of course to me just causes "rolls eyes".
Honestly? I think the devs are just doing stuff willy-nilly.... to see what sticks. I - am not willing to play that game personally....

Huh. Not only does ZoS have the riding packages in the crown store, but they're offering the Hailcinder Vale elk to buy too. Is it a magickal elven steed that isn't broken? Or did ZoS ride it and break it first?
I just got banned from twitch chat for posting "Rapids Rapids Rapids Rapids Rapids".
What a crock of poo...
