It is probably due to the convoluted way that AP is applied. There are so many calculations that have to be updated and they didn't get it in the first pass... IMO, it is probably a sign that someone needs to refactor the code and make it simpler to apply double AP.

However it worked perfectly during all other double AP events like the previous one this year.It is probably due to the convoluted way that AP is applied. Last week I was getting double AP per repair, and suddenly Monday morning double AP was switched off when Test 2 started.
With all the difficulty playing with AoE cool-downs there is no incentive to play without the double AP.
To be clear, you should be receiving double AP from player kills, player healing, and keep/outpost/resource captures, and those values will contribute toward AVA Rank and Leaderboards. AP is not doubled from Cyrodiil quests, due to how this needed to be setup. (...)

I read this as if repair AP will not count for the double AP. I know that "repairs" are calculated like heals, but maybe its differentiated between players and NPC units (+ buildings).
Imo this is already progress. We can already get MOST double AP towards Campaign rewards and ranks (didnt check that myself) - sacrificing the wall repair doesn't hurt much.
Unless - If your main source of AP is repairs, and you keep asking for incentive to test the AOE changes... wall repairs are not part of those tests, so if that is what you do - you don't deserve the double AP - you gave no incentive :-/

Performance did take a noticeable hit this week compared to last...

No it isn't. Tested it 1 min ago. Seems to be intended that repairs don't give double AP.
Double AP doesn't seem to work for RotW either. Yesterday I got 150k AP but only 3 reward coffers.
