I always loved the concept of ic, but sadly it's not very well utilized.
That being said events like this that bring a lot of ppl in make the place feel quite lively.
I'm having great fun pvping, always a great opportunity to test openworld builds without the lag or horse ride simulator aspect of cyrodiil.
Kinda wish they made IC more appealing, although I'm guessing most players that come here during the event only care about their event tickets.

If the people liked the zone, it would have people. Just like the MYM event, everyone left when the tickets were gone. Sure you might get a few new faces, but that's it.

If you have to artificially boost the numbers, its not good.

Firstly they need to limit the amout of Telvar you can loot to the amount you are carrying - this would rebalance the gank-factor risk vs reward a bit more.

If that still didn't work then frankly I think they should just remove Telvar loss and perhaps reduce Telvar gain at the same time.

The irony is the IC quest series is excellent, but the mechanics of the zone put off PvPers and PvEers alike, it is really only gankers and farmers that go there outside of events, which shows the zone isn't working.

There are zerg groups who do not get decent AP. they do not get decent telvar. They only get the satisfaction of camping spawn areas to *** people off.

Do they give PVPers bad names? No, they are pvpers. They are the purest form of the bunch. The ones who simply want to grief and kill anything they see. Their goal? Your frustration.

You can claim to not be those people, that "not all pvpers..." but we all know better.

I would like to point out that 8/10 times I died in IC earlier today I died to what I'd call PvEers. There was a DC zerg of ~10-15 people running around, no one higher than like rank 10, all seemingly equally terrible at actually fighting players if caught off guard (read: away from the zerg. I did not gank anyone, I just ran into a couple as they strayed away from main group). The moment they saw 1 lonely me running around killing mobs 50 m away from them, they were on me like wasps on someone who poked their nest.

Am I upset by that? Not really, I did want to PvP and I banked all my TV before going in. However, I find these 'toxic PvPers killing poor innocent PvEers' complaints highly amusing. This is not the first time that your poor innocent PvEers zerg jumped 1 lonely me like 3 times in a row. Seems that as soon as poor innocent peaceful PvEers outnumber the opposing party more than 3:1 they magically transform into horrible toxic PvPers :p

You assume that all pvpers are good at pvp. You would be wrong. I've killed quite a few gankers and pvpers before in pve healer gear. Last event I had one repeatedly try to kill me go invisible then pop out again until I killed them before they could go invisible. Also zergs of terrible pvpers are common in cyrodil. Being a pvper doesn't mean they're good at it.

Ah, no, that's not quite the line of thought lol. Of course there're even very high rank PvPers who are bad at PvP, just like there're PvEers who are bad at PvE. Likewise, there're good PvPers with low ranks as they're new characters of experienced people. It's just that when during an event focusing on PvE part of IC (and there's no even double AP afaik, though I think it'd be nice) you meet a zerg of people who are all/absolute majority terrible at PvP AND have low ranks, chances are that's a crowd that normally only PvEs and only got there for the event.

I just find it highly amusing that this type seems to kill me much more often than actual PvPers during events like this. The PvE zergs that jump you the second they see you. The PvE loners that are very evidently just questing so you leave them alone, they leave you alone, then half a minute later they're back with 3+ buddies to backstab you while you're fighting a boss. It's not that I'm complaining about being attacked in a PvP zone per se, it's just that I find it highly ironic how there're so many people on forums claiming all PvEers want is to be left alone but evil PvPers just won't let them, but the actual behavior in the game speaks the opposite.

Wait, how is that going to work? You start with 0, which means you can only loot 0, which means you can never acquire any, which means you can never loot any?

I mean, I take it you meant how much you get by killing other players, but that isn't what you said; "loot" is a general term that also applies to looting Tel Var chests and NPC corpses.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

Again I've seen plenty of low rank zergs in cyrodil so again I wouldn't assume any are pvers simply based on that

Zergs happen all the time in pvp regardless of rank....especially the ball groups it's like being trampled by a stampede.

It's on the list of many reasons I prefer battlegrounds over zone pvp....I've never seen a zerg in battlegrounds though a bit hard to do it there. Honestly in my opinion battlegrounds is the only fun form of pvp.

i love this event, i love the fact that IC & the sewers are full for a couple of weeks a year, took my guild a newbie PvE players in there this week 1st few days they hated it kept getting killed every 10ft and respawning, slowly they learned to watch around them and be prepared to fight at any time, they also learned taking a chest is suicide very fast, after awhile they started getting their 1st kills and the 2000 deaths they suffered before didnt matter they got a kill and earned Telvar the hard way. now we go in for All day runs doing the dailies and running the sewers for scamps and Molag, even venture into enemy zones for a bit more danger. we even killed a group of griefers camped waiting for players returning to base, took several tries but they beat them in the all for 200 Telvar but for them as new players it may aswell of been 200,000. i guess the point i am making is that despite the hardcore **s hats you can have some good fun with a group that takes death as just another soul gem
