You have have full servers full of big zergs spamming AoEs without any lag or ability delay. And on top of that, there's loads of NPCs for the servers to handle.
Are we really sure that AoEs are the reason Cyrodiil is lagging?

Imperial City is physically separated into 6 upper city districts and 10 sewer sections. If ZOS were to separate Cyrodiil into 16 areas, it might improve lag and ability delay. You can have a big DC-EP fight at Chalman, a big AD-EP fight at Alessia, a bunch of DC running in circles after an AD ball group in Rayles, etc., etc. Cyrodiil's design as one massive, continuous war zone almost certainly provides different technical challenges than Imperial City's small, distinct zones.
Do they give PVPers bad names? No, they are pvpers. They are the purest form of the bunch. The ones who simply want to grief and kill anything they see. Their goal? Your frustration.

You can claim to not be those people, that "not all pvpers..." but we all know better.

I would disagree. In my opinion, the purest form of the bunch are the players that enjoy the toughest competition (i.e. not spawn camping to incite frustration).
IC battles are smaller than the real massive Cyrodil ones. You have have full servers full of big zergs spamming AoEs without any lag or ability delay. And on top of that, there's loads of NPCs for the servers to handle.

And that saved me first day, had IC quests stored up, but queues was +100, nice vWGT run on tank, healer from guild pug DD's wiped a couple of time on last boss, some times since done it vet.cyclonus11 wrote: »...I can do ICP/WGT and avoid all of this.
^ This.
ZOS, please do this for every Imperial City event. Let us get our event tickets and strongboxes from doing ICP/WGT.

..... The REAL PVPers who go into BGs (or duel good players), who know there will be at least some competition are really only ones who can brag.
For IC espesialy during event if far more hardcore PvP than Cyrodil.

It HAS Been like that for every IC event. You could always do the dungeons as an alternative to PVP because they are a part of the Imperial City DLC. I highly doubt they will ever change that.
.
Don't forget all the nightblades ganking from stealth the recent buff to NBs and proc sets have made this event a pain tbh

do you not like getting a raid wipe due to ONE SINGLE PLAYER using proxy detonation+soul tether with vicious death?
seriously i hate the no skill cheese bombblades and this event just makes their epeens look REALLY BIG!
theres no counter for a stealth AoE stun that ignores radiant magelight and an AoE that deals upward of 20k+20K per player death
