Don't forget all the nightblades ganking from stealth the recent buff to NBs and proc sets have made this event a pain tbh
do you not like getting a raid wipe due to ONE SINGLE PLAYER using proxy detonation+soul tether with vicious death?
seriously i hate the no skill cheese bombblades and this event just makes their epeens look REALLY BIG!
theres no counter for a stealth AoE stun that ignores radiant magelight and an AoE that deals upward of 20k+20K per player death

Wait, how is ganging up on solo players of the other alliance "hardcore" PvP? I at least have some respect for people who 1v1 me, esp if they wait for me to stop fighting NPCs. Sure, they mow me down with the current cheese, but that's at least a fair fight compared to everyone else who baits, or gangs up on me while I'm fighting.
I really miss the old days, where solo questers who didn't engage were mostly left alone. I allow others the same courtesy I want: not going to target you if you don't target me. Most of the time they kill me as soon as I turn away. One guy even chased me into another district after I let him run away from a duel, for a second kill.
Whoever said "these are the kids no one likes".. yep. Except they're not kids, they're adults WITH kids. Maybe grandkids. And they think people believe "I don't look at names so I didn't know I was chasing you across one district into another for a second kill"

You have have full servers full of big zergs spamming AoEs without any lag or ability delay. And on top of that, there's loads of NPCs for the servers to handle.
Are we really sure that AoEs are the reason Cyrodiil is lagging?
I always loved the concept of ic, but sadly it's not very well utilized.
That being said events like this that bring a lot of ppl in make the place feel quite lively.
I'm having great fun pvping, always a great opportunity to test openworld builds without the lag or horse ride simulator aspect of cyrodiil.
Kinda wish they made IC more appealing, although I'm guessing most players that come here during the event only care about their event tickets.
Or, you know... maybe the exact same solution that has been used for years (and works well) in IC? The "double door" system which puts you on an unreachable-from-below platform and gives you the blue invincibility effect as long as you don't drop down from there.Turn Milegates in Cyrodiil into loading screen gates so Cyro can be cut up into four separate instances? Only problem is players could camp and farm the Milegates cause your physical body loads into the world faster than your client does.
Maybe Milegates should have Faction Guards controlling Coldfire Ballista that automatically target you within a certain proximity, so you can't just camp.

35k+35k/per on my bomblade
Just change your char to which alliance own the district and have more group if trying to do quest or tel var farming. Imperial city is not locked. On the other hand if you want to gank or bomb choose the other alliance.

Do they give PVPers bad names? No, they are pvpers. They are the purest form of the bunch. The ones who simply want to grief and kill anything they see. Their goal? Your frustration.
You can claim to not be those people, that "not all pvpers..." but we all know better.

I would like to point out that 8/10 times I died in IC earlier today I died to what I'd call PvEers. There was a DC zerg of ~10-15 people running around, no one higher than like rank 10, all seemingly equally terrible at actually fighting players if caught off guard (read: away from the zerg. I did not gank anyone, I just ran into a couple as they strayed away from main group). The moment they saw 1 lonely me running around killing mobs 50 m away from them, they were on me like wasps on someone who poked their nest.
Am I upset by that? Not really, I did want to PvP and I banked all my TV before going in. However, I find these 'toxic PvPers killing poor innocent PvEers' complaints highly amusing. This is not the first time that your poor innocent PvEers zerg jumped 1 lonely me like 3 times in a row. Seems that as soon as poor innocent peaceful PvEers outnumber the opposing party more than 3:1 they magically transform into horrible toxic PvPers
Correct. You only get half of what the victim was carrying. And half of 0 is still 0. (or alternatively, half of '0' is '(', if you take it very literallyGrizzbeorn wrote: »How many Telvar stones does a person "win" when they defeat someone who isn't carrying any Telvar?
I believe it's 0.
The IC event is the absolute worst time to be doing any PvE quests in IC (because of the overcrowding), especially if you are not part of a decent (and/or large) group. "Counterproductive" is a pretty good way of describing it.AdamBourke wrote: »I'm terrible at PvP and just want to do the story quests, but it's hard with 2/3 of other players jumping in to help the waves of Daedra.
So much this.ZaroktheImmortal wrote: »PizzaCat82 wrote: »There are zerg groups who do not get decent AP. they do not get decent telvar. They only get the satisfaction of camping spawn areas to *** people off.

You assume that all pvpers are good at pvp. You would be wrong. I've killed quite a few gankers and pvpers before in pve healer gear. Last event I had one repeatedly try to kill me go invisible then pop out again until I killed them before they could go invisible. Also zergs of terrible pvpers are common in cyrodil. Being a pvper doesn't mean they're good at it.
