This event is probably most fun I had in months.

Cyro is usually fighting 25-50 regulars on each side everyday that you even know their build, characters and who they team with.

In IC same but more like 5-10 regulars.

But right now there are like 500 different people I never seen before to fight and it's absolute chaos I love it, no more monotony fighting same people over again.

No lol, Bomblades are fine I can appreciate a good bomber. The Nightblades that are the worst are the proc set ones that have made a resurgence due to ZOS buffing proc sets, its like flashbacks to the Viper, Tremorscale etc days of 1 Tamriel

For IC espesialy during event if far more hardcore PvP than Cyrodil.

Wait, how is ganging up on solo players of the other alliance "hardcore" PvP? I at least have some respect for people who 1v1 me, esp if they wait for me to stop fighting NPCs. Sure, they mow me down with the current cheese, but that's at least a fair fight compared to everyone else who baits, or gangs up on me while I'm fighting.

I really miss the old days, where solo questers who didn't engage were mostly left alone. I allow others the same courtesy I want: not going to target you if you don't target me. Most of the time they kill me as soon as I turn away. One guy even chased me into another district after I let him run away from a duel, for a second kill.

Whoever said "these are the kids no one likes".. yep. Except they're not kids, they're adults WITH kids. Maybe grandkids. And they think people believe "I don't look at names so I didn't know I was chasing you across one district into another for a second kill"

Yeah, I had a similar experience today. There was this one person I spared who was nearly dead by enemies (I could have easily picked them off). I even helped them by getting some of the mobs off. I just assumed they were new and probably just a quester since they were struggling against the regular enemies. Then he or she ran off and collected a half dozen of their buddies ... tracked me down... and proceeded to gleefully slaughter me, complete with a proper tea bagging at the end.

Don't ever doubt that nice guys finish last. Because they do. lol

In respect to 1v1, hell... at this rate I would even settle for 2 or 3 or even 4 vs 1. Even that would be a dramatic improvement over what I've been experiencing.

I always loved the concept of ic, but sadly it's not very well utilized.
That being said events like this that bring a lot of ppl in make the place feel quite lively.
I'm having great fun pvping, always a great opportunity to test openworld builds without the lag or horse ride simulator aspect of cyrodiil.
Kinda wish they made IC more appealing, although I'm guessing most players that come here during the event only care about their event tickets.

A few things, and I don't bomb myself, but I have tried it out of curiousity. It does take skill and timing to bomb, you can tell the bad bombers from the good ones.

There are counters for bombers. First, don't stack. You rarely have to, the amount of times when I stay a small distance away from a group and watch them get bombed only to kill the bomber after the bomb is a lot. Then you have all the AoEs, traps etc on the group which also makes things harder for them, a really good bomber can still get a bomb off, but the average to bad ones usually won't.

I do love bombers tho, it's fun to watch entire groups of players go splat, even if it's my allies.

How do you make getting regularly ganked more appealing?

I would tend to let other questers alone, but I have found enough come to attack me later that I feel compelled to attack anyone I can, mostly losing of course.

Then the remove the variant of Crystal Blast I center around just before the event to make me even more useless. Really frustrating that part!

Just change your char to which alliance own the district and have more group if trying to do quest or tel var farming. Imperial city is not locked. On the other hand if you want to gank or bomb choose the other alliance.

    35k+35k/per on my bomblade

point proven. its BS and should not be doable from stealth.
im fine if you can pull it off by kamakazi'ing in to get the kills, that has the ability to be countered.
using proxy det, stealth and soul tether should not automatically score you 30+ kills.
the fact that soul tether can ignore radiant mage lights no stun ability from stealth attacks tells you how broken it is.

I would like to point out that 8/10 times I died in IC earlier today I died to what I'd call PvEers. There was a DC zerg of ~10-15 people running around, no one higher than like rank 10, all seemingly equally terrible at actually fighting players if caught off guard (read: away from the zerg. I did not gank anyone, I just ran into a couple as they strayed away from main group). The moment they saw 1 lonely me running around killing mobs 50 m away from them, they were on me like wasps on someone who poked their nest.

Am I upset by that? Not really, I did want to PvP and I banked all my TV before going in. However, I find these 'toxic PvPers killing poor innocent PvEers' complaints highly amusing. This is not the first time that your poor innocent PvEers zerg jumped 1 lonely me like 3 times in a row. Seems that as soon as poor innocent peaceful PvEers outnumber the opposing party more than 3:1 they magically transform into horrible toxic PvPers :p

Funny how its always the pvp players being toxic.....so earlier today I was in ic and there was about 6 blues questing in the district so I decide to let them be and do my own thing( farming telvar from mobs and bosses). Eventually a blue pvp player shows up and starts fighting me.... And since I had 30k telvar I am going to fight back and defend myself..... And then the 6 pve players also jump jnto the fight.... So I kill thrm first because they are easier to kill than the pvp player wich eventually also died..... It was funny to see the pve players whisper me for being a toxic pvp player because I killed them after I left them alone to do their own thing the whole time..... So no it is not just the pvp players..... And I know someone is going to hate me for posting this but its fine

You assume that all pvpers are good at pvp. You would be wrong. I've killed quite a few gankers and pvpers before in pve healer gear. Last event I had one repeatedly try to kill me go invisible then pop out again until I killed them before they could go invisible. Also zergs of terrible pvpers are common in cyrodil. Correct. You only get half of what the victim was carrying. And half of 0 is still 0. (or alternatively, half of '0' is '(', if you take it very literally :) )

The IC event is the absolute worst time to be doing any PvE quests in IC (because of the overcrowding), especially if you are not part of a decent (and/or large) group. "Counterproductive" is a pretty good way of describing it.
Wait until the event is over, then wait a few more weeks for things to calm back down, and then you will once again have a near-dead IC to work with for doing the PvE quests in relative peace.

      So much this.

On most of my PC-NA characters, I did the IC PvE questline a few months ago while levelling them to lvl 50. Although to be fair, I did wait till I was around lvl 35+, just so that I had a good selection of abilities and passives to work with.

Because I was there only for the PvE content and this was my fresh start on PC-NA (no master crafter), I used the "best" gear that I could craft - which was objectively quite bad, since you can't do miracles with only 3-4 trait craftable gear - and I did not use any impen because I knew that it won't help me against the skilled, fully geared CP810+ players; besides at that time I was there purely for PvE and not for PvP. (note that this was long before the change which added base crit resist to the game)

In part due to the timezone difference, I only ran into a handful of enemy players, and seldom into more than 1 at any one time. But about half of those I did run into 1v1 were rather easily dispatched - which was quite surprising, considering that I was woefully undergeared and unprepared for fighting any enemy players. I didn't even have any burst combo abilities slotted, just wall of elements + crushing shock + soultrap.

Some of those players didn't even try to fight back and tried to run away. Others tried to fight back, but clearly failed at the resource management minigame.
When I lost, if the fight was fairly "evenly matched" (remember, I was badly undergeared and underbuilt!) it was usually due to my overconfidence in trying to finish off an enemy who was in execute range without paying too much attention to my own HP.
And then of course there were the times when I ran into a proper PvPer with decent gear and skill, and then I would get deleted in a few seconds.

But at the end of the day, I was quite shocked at how bad many of the players I ran into were. No burst combo, no proper defense (blockcasting BoL does not constitue a "proper defense"!), or even no self burstheal. Crazy.
