Was Mount Stamina Messed With?

Some of my characters never have issues. Of course, the main one I am playing has to run everywhere, because his horse drains in 3 seconds. I am tempted to find that mythic item that increases run speed until this is fixed.

Remember when the necro was free, and ZOS fixed it within hours? Funny how that was more important than mounts.

After logging on, make sure the first action you do is not sprint, this goes for first movement after travel, load screens and zone swaps. Otherwise the stamina bug comes into play.

I'm not sure if it is the trigger but seems to repeatable on my account.

We’ve been looking into this issue, which wasn’t a deliberate change, but as some of you have noted it’s been difficult to pinpoint what’s causing it. We’re continuing to investigate though, and will let you know if we need any additional info.

    Any news on this?

For very valid reasons, you don't want to ever introduce flying mounts. I get that. But then why did you make land travel agonizing?

Since this nerf (accidental or intentional), exploration, one of my primary sources of enjoyment in ESO, is painful. Like, I don't even want to bother trying to play painful. I've been playing since beta. I've been subscribed, steady, since 2016, never missing a month. I love exploring the world of Elder Scrolls, I love the quests, the stories, the characters I meet, and friends I make along the way. ESO was my top MMORPG for 4 years. It breaks my heart to say it's quickly losing that status.

I make an alt (or two, three, whatever). I finish the tutorial. I pick up the wayshrine, and see an active harrowstorm. I mount up for the first time and am dismayed to find that my horse is somehow lame. I hit shift, I see a brief spurt of speed, after which my mount slows down to a speed barely perceptibly faster than non-sprint speed, and then I'm out of stamina. It takes more time for the stamina bar to refill than it did to use it. How the heck am I supposed to take part in this vast, open world if I can't even make it to a single harrowstorm before it finishes? If I didn't have Beam Me Up, this game would be completely unplayable right now. As is, it's really only barely better than that.
I'm cringing thinking of this next event, an event that should absolutely light me up because it's all the best of ESO. I'll have to run around, mounted, for hours, and it may just ruin the game entirely for me.
I haven't explored much of W. Skyrim at all because of stuff like this. And if you don't care? Why should I bother?
Swapping characters doesn't work. They all have this issue, except for my 2 with maxed everything.
    This plus losing Rapid Maneuvers?...
ZOS, make this a priority, please. Or you'll lose more people. The game is only as good as its community.
My in-game name is @ VeronicaStormborn

May all your hits be crits and all your loot epics!

Hi everyone, just to update, we're currently testing a fix for this issue and hope to include it in our next PC incremental patch.

You stated this on September 10, it is now September 22 and still no fix? All 14 of my characters are 60/60/60 in training and this is getting ridiculous. The minute I get on any mount my mount stamina drops to 0, it's getting really old trying to ride anywhere in Tamriel, much less trying to keep up with the group in PVP.

@ZOS_GinaBruno when is this going to be fixed?

I found this recently also, it was as if my mount had no stamina, sprint time to exhaustion was notably and drastically shorter.

I also had zero stam regen on a character in pvp, as in literally it stated stam regen as 0... I had to log out and back in for this to be fixed. I wonder if its part of the same issue.

Can we expect a fix soon on console?
This is really draining and makes running to Harrowstorms a pain.

In our continuing efforts to improve server performance, we have refactored how Sprint functions on the backend and have made some changes to the design.

On-foot sprint will largely function the same as it has in the past, though we’ve decreased the Stamina cost of sprinting which will result in being able to sprint longer. You’ll also notice the Stamina drain is more fluid in the UI.
Like on-foot sprint, mounts will now stop sprinting when their Stamina is fully drained. However, we’ve decreased the Stamina cost of mounted sprint and greatly increased both base Stamina and base Recovery for mounts.
We will be closely monitoring how these changes affect your ability to traverse Tamriel.
That fact that you no longer have Rapids as you once did might allow the above adjustments to be more noticeable.

No, this isn’t the issue at all. Stamina drains much more quickly, and it even says in that patch note that it reduced the mount stamina cost. I’ve run around before this patch without rapids on a slow mount. The difference is not subtle at all. It takes just a few seconds to drain.

    There is a solution:

They are clearly not designed for those of us with max mounts. But I'm sure the majority of characters in the game, mostly alts, aren't 60/60/60.

It still has not been fixed. Practically everyone I've talked to in all five of my guilds are still having this issue as of today, September 29, 2020.

When getting on your mount, the stamina drops to 0 in 2 seconds. And even with mount being trained 60/60/60, Stamina which states: "allowing your mount to sprint longer and take more hits before you become dismounted." One hit is stopping your mount instantly and/or knocking you off your mount. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_RichLambert PLEASE TELL US WHEN THIS WILL BE FIXED!! There are multiple post up on Reddit, Facebook, etc about this issue not being fixed in last update.

The problem is happening on all 14 of my characters who are all maxed 60/60/60. Two of my characters are mules, without rapids, and are also 60/60/60 as I have been playing since launch. All other characters have rapids and am having same issue with every character, get on mount, move forward, stamina drops to 0 slowing my mount down considerably, getting hit by enemy either knocks me off my mount or stops me in my tracks for several seconds. In the past 6 years of playing I have never had this issue on a character with max mount training.

Ditto! This makes it extremely difficult to get to Harrowstorms during the event. By the time you get there, the HS is already completed, not to mention trying to get scrying completed when the dig spot is so far away from a wayshrine. It also makes it almost impossible to get to a keep in Cyrodiil to either defend or join the group there that is sieging the keep.

If you are on console, i cant help you, but if you are on PC, i can assure you, this issue is gone. It even states so in the patch notes
