What is this madness? I’ve watched a few videos on the mechanics but what the videos show and what is happening are not the same thing. All the guides show the boss going into laser phase every 25% but for my group it’s every 10% and double the adds. The lasers spawn 1-4-4 or 1-5-4. We’ve had lasers randomly spawn in the middle of the room, the boss shield vanishing and him standing up, the laser going through the boss and still killing us and the rolling orbs will kill the spheres but only if a player goes up and exploded with it, killing the player.

Well... the laser isn't just based on boss health, it's also based on a timer. If your DPS is good enough, you should only be getting lasers at certain health phases. However if DPS is subpar and not reach a certain health phase of the boss before a certain timing, the lasers will happen regardless.

The laser sweep sequences happen at health level or on a timer, whichever comes first. Any guide that claims otherwise is factually incorrect.

It should always be 1 beam, 1 beam, 2 beams, and 4 beams for every subsequent sweep sequence.

Only the tank should be attempting to kill the dwarven spheres with the shock balls(or at the very least a DPS who is tanky...a WW maybe)...anyone else is going to be hurt a lot more by it....this is one of the few fights in the game that the tank can kill as many ads as the DPS if they know what they are doing. I have managed to one-shot 4 spheres at once before using this method(lets ignore the fact I died soon afterward to a laser because I got so focused on killing spheres)

The lasers ALWAYS go 1-1-2-4(and then 4 for every round thereafter that the boss lives). There are no exceptions to this....in the chaos of the fight it may seem otherwise.

Sometimes the boss does visually bug out and stand up in the shield phase....but regardless of what the boss looks like, his shield still exists and it still blocks the lasers....in this phase you should be watching the lasers far more than the boss. The shield also only covers a small area, make sure you are standing DIRECTLY behind the shield, if off even slightly to either side, there is a chance that it wont shield you.

Everything I’ve read here and elsewhere shows the laser phase as 1-1-2-4 BUT we would get 4 at the first phase sometimes, sometimes 1, sometimes 2, sometimes the laser would spawn in the middle of the room. We’ve done this dungeon on normal before so we were familiar with it. A couple of the group members have even done it on vet and said it was wonky for them but not this bad.

I play as dps so was unaware of the tank having to do the spheres but makes sense. Thanks for the tips and help.
