Does nobody do Icereach?

This dlc dungeon came out months ago and I been struggling to find groups for it for two weeks now. It took me hours today to get one group. The queue goes on forever when I queue as healer, I imagine that is bad.

I think people avoid DLC Dungeons unless they are farming gear or achievements. Mostly because they take so long that running them more than once or twice, it is a chore.

Best advice, other than join a guild that likes to run dungeons, is wait for Ice Reach to be the Pledge of the Day, then your Queue will pop fast.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Got the Wolfhunter DLC yesterday, still trying to get a group to do it. :D

It's mostly that DLC dungeons are dead zones. Took me 3 days to complete vLoM, 1-2 for vFV. Simply no one was interested.

Nobody is going to queue for Icereach specifically. If you want to find a group for DLC content, do not queue, find a premade group.
I play this game a little bit I guess

What is your experience when Icereach is a Pledge dungeon for the day?

Sorting dungeons by difficulty would help like-minded like-competency players find proper help. Instead of possibly wasting their time because someone queued all-dungeons but can't handle the one that is drawn; or someone is faking a role but can't solo the dungeon that they get. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/540159/pledges-and-daily-random-bonus-split-the-rewards-into-three-groups-by-difficulty

I am wishing now there was a solo instance of it. Just to get the sets locked behind it. I don't care if that kind of thing means all drops would be grey rarity with training traits that need to be transmuted. I'd at least get to play it.

The dungeon is the same as most of the dlc ones, namely more effort than its worth.

Even if you get past fake roles in pug groups and disinterested guild members you still have glitch fest mechanics and one shots all over the place.

There just isn’t any reason to run them when you can run a base game dungeon on vet and get the same rewards for a fraction of the effort.

Makes me think the lack of interest is why the dungeons lead is now doing all encounters, the dungeons just aren’t popular enough anymore to justify a dedicated lead

Also, and I cannot believe I’m writing this but right now I would be willing to pay extra for a solo version of the dungeons, set to maybe public dungeon difficulty but with all the loot and xp stripped out. Would be nice to see the story at least because at the moment all these dungeon dlcs are doing is padding out the schedule.

That dungeon is the pits on vet. Constant CCs, stupid one shot mechanics.

So as soon as people get it done, they abandon it forever
Most people hate it with a passion so good luck getting it done

I suspect people are waiting for the Icrereach Coven motif to be obtainable before spending too much time there, in addition to DLC dungeons just generally being more stressful than a lot of people want to deal with.

I'm not running that again until they finally release Icereach Motifs. This **** is ridiculous already.

If you only need the sets, just do it on normal mode and fake tank with a char with at least 25k effective health pool and a taunt. I'm always running a petsorc with 25k dps and an effective 45k healthpool. You get instant que pops for any dungeon.

The majority of players in this game are bad, unfortunately. Something as easy as Icereach seems too daunting for them so they tend to avoid it. Your best bet is getting a pre-made with guildies.

3 guildies and me queued for randoms a few nights ago and one was icereach. Our healer (my brother) proceeded to vent about how he didn’t like running icereach.

I don't see any point in queueing for a vet DLC. I'll just run it with guildmates if I'm feeling inclined. I suspect there are many like myself that don't want to waste time with potential low dps, fake tanks and heals and long queues. Why put up with that when I have people I know and trust to complete the content?

This leads to fewer capable players in the queue as they avoid it and a larger percentage of lesser skilled players in the queue overall.

I don't think that's why, it's counter intuitive if you think about it. They still put out 4 DLC dungeons a year so no less development work is being done regardless of popularity after they're released. Now perhaps they've increased the efficiency to build dungeons out and less time is needed today vs a year ago allowing some of his time can be allocated to other things.

We had Story mode back before they removed Vet Ranks. Just do a dungeon over leveled. It would be easy, no loot would drop, but you would still get the story and the completion achievement/skill point.

Drop the Achieve and SP and let us explore for Akatosh's sake.

This Topic comes up around almost every DLC release. Personally I think they would make more money by adding a solo mode to the new dungeons. They can gradually add it to base game dungeons if they want to. What do you say ZOS?

I would like to believe that but the DLC dungeons have done nothing but get less popular for as long as this they have existed. Considering the rewards compared to the base game ones in pledges there is zero reason to do DLC pledges when base game vet can be steamrolled. You maybe do them once then ignore them. The only reason we get two dungeon dlc (suspiciously now part of the years story) is to pad out the release schedule

Someone at ZOS is convinced that HARD = FUN so thats why no one is doing DLC dungeons (unless farming motifs or leads)

Icereach is one of the easier DLC dungeons. If the monster set was better more people may run it.

SWTOR has been doing this for years. ESO is behind everyone as usual.

FFXIV doesn't even need to do this at all. Their dungeons are balanced and fun with their level syncing. And if you have a hard time or did want to do it solo, you can go in without level syncing later when you are overpowered for it.

If you have to do all the content solo what's the point of playing an online game?

You might as well be playing any singleplayer video game.

Can't remember one shot mechanics. Unless you are talking about the first boss?
