One day of ESO+ is a tiny amount of money.
Tickets on the other hand...
And that would be just, I don't know, common courtesy, to offer community something as apology

Except for a couple of times during that same month when you can't, even though you have payed for it.
Customer: Hey, here we are again. Got our table ready?
ZOS: We have a bit of a problem, all of our chefs have died. But don't worry, we are trying to get some new ones here as soon as possible.
Customer: Okay, we'll just wait until they get here.
ZOS: The new chefs have arrived! But apparently, they don't know how to cook and all tables are full already with waiting customers.
Customer: Yeah, but we pay every month to have a guaranteed dinner. Why didn't you just upgrade the restaurant to a larger location with more chefs?
ZOS: We could have, but it worked before and we thought it would still be sufficient.
Customer: Could we at least get out money back? Or our "free" daily icecream we usually get for being here every day?
ZOS: I'm afraid that's out of the queston.
Now, how long would you keep going back to this restaurant?

And many people pay for subscriptions.
Why is there no compensation?
People pay for a service that they don't get, which is called fraud in any country.

Good luck getting a court to agree with your interpretation as applied to video game maintainance.

The thing is when it comes to an event with tickets, "legal" shouldn't even come into it.
If they basically take away and entire days playtime due to issue nothing to do with the player it is just good PR to either extend the event by a day or give a days "free" tickets.

And before you talk nonsense, think with your head, why would he go to court? Or can you just scribble the text rashly?
