I've been farming in Blackreach for almost two day killing bears, wolf and whatever in Blackreach (near Gloom HS), anyone got it? and there'r other places to farm it? because 90% when u kill this monsters u got 0 loot, and when u get a loot its garbage ... anyone has some tips?

I got mine from a mob that kinda looks like vampire lord (forgot the name) near vampire keep in Blackreach.

I got mine from death hound near gloomforest HS, or whatever is it called, in Blackreach today.

Just got it .. after 2 days grinding .. long time lol ... got it from Bears in BlackReach (near Gloom HS)

I've had this drop twice for me in veteran Kyne's Aegis, and I've seen 5 others get it so far. Three of them dropped from trash in one run.

Well apparently, the drop rate is very low, and everyone that isn't me is just really lucky. Four days of grinding in a row for this thing. Killed numerous mobs in Blackreach, and have not gotten the lead for the font to drop even ONCE...

Grey Host Bloodknight dropped it outside in the garden area of Greymoor Keep.
Took me like 20 bloodknights and 50 dogs, but I realise that doesn't help you personally.

My first golden Lead from Moonlit Cove for example took around 15 urns, while the second time I went looking for it, it took over 600 Urns (I was counting the accumulating stacks of Lockpicks) . So sadly RNG varies extremely much due to luck.

Today it finally dropped for me, also from a bloodknight.
Only, it took me about four times the number of kills of bloodknights and hound dogs that you had to do.

And before this, I hunted down Vampiric bears (very scarce and low respawn rate) for some days, because originally I thought it only dropped from these monsters.

can confirm, bloodknights are best drop rate, took about 8 of them

Not sure about normal, in vet I’ve gotten 2 from the trash between 2nd and 3rd boss.

The Grey Host Bloodknights on the right hand side of the map in the Greymoor Keep 'garden' has 3 that you can do a rotation with death hounds. Mine dropped from these Bloodknights after killing (yes, I was counting) 241 of them (it's RNG for me). Keep in mind that the Grey Host Bloodknights south of Gloomforest Harrostorm does NOT seem to leave ANY loot after killing 100+ of them so I switched to the Greymoor Keep. Hope this helps some people.

Yes. Got mine from a Grey Host Bloodknight as part of the rotation listed two posts up. Took me about 30 kills total. I wasted a lot of time on those dag-gum blood hounds.

Don't forget about Vampiric Sabrecats. I got mine from a Vampiric Sabrecat south of the Greymoor Keep Wayshrine. I'd say their kinda easy to farm because they respawn within a couple of minutes and there is plenty of them.

I have done about 12 hours of farming for it and nothing but my friend came over and helped me out and got it in like 30 minutes... seems fair

I've been progressing trifecta in Kyne's Aegis with 2 different groups on 6 raid days a week and I've gotten it once from the trash in there. It's good to know that it's not only bears in Blackreach though.

It took me about 10 Bloodknights on the "3 knight rotation" from above. I killed one on the outside of the gate along the walkway and then two inside the gate. Spent a lot of time farming animals outside but the Bloodknight method worked well for me.

Sorry for reviving a 2 year old post, but i wanted to thank you so much for this comment. I killed 84 bloodknights and got the lead, thank you so so much
