Vamplar Healer -- Help me save my build!

Welp, healing as a vampire just got pretty silly with the resource cost increase and the loss of magicka regen. My main is a Vamplar Healer who went from S-tier pre-Greymoor to low C-tier with the Vampire changes. I'm sad. I love the Mist Form changes and I guess the Eviscerate spammable is neat, but again, I'm a healer, so resource management is the biggest loss here.

I mainly run dungeons/trials and do PvP, so some of the neat skills like the AOE stun and even eviscerate don't help me at all.

Any suggestions besides "roll a new toon"?

Vampire for support roles was gutted in the patch, @Kemenril. I cured both my vampire PvP Healers.

You don't need to "roll a new toon" ... but curing your character and re-arranging a few things to keep the same sustain should do the trick.

    I cured mine, too. :(

No thought went into the rework considering healers or tanks. They had a linear vision for vampires and these changes reflect that.

Change your stage to what suits you best if you are adamant on keeping the character a vampire. The biggest change Zos made to the skill one was that those who were just interested in the regen passive are no longer going to have a use for be4ing a vampire. Those who actually used the skills and more so those who wanted more meaningful skills will benefit more from these changes. That is if they can deal with the other changes.

Lmao it barely even does that.

I would recommend staying at stage 1, and using the crazy spell power buff that consumes health to your advantage to boost your heals. Being a healer you should be able to heal yourself enough to keep up the buff.

If that doesn't work, maybe it's time to cure. Vampire is no longer a passive 10% regen skill line, it's a playstyle.

    A niche playstyle.

    Cull the vampires ✊

Maybe Sated Frenzy will be useful - extra spell damage does mean more healing right 🤷🏾‍♂️

Crown Crates are a trap. Don't fall for the gamble! Balance? What Balance? Balance, smellance.
    Necro for them RP feels.

If you don't want to cure your vampirism for role play reasons, try swapping out one of your sets for Lich from Crypts of Heart. It can be back-barred, so you can use master resto staff on front bar (if you still are) and it provides a massive burst of regen when you proc it. I use it on both my offtank and my main healer (though trying to find a replacement I like since I no longer need the massive sustain) and I love it.

Sounds good on paper, @Yamenstein ... but if you're running a min/max build in a PvP raid the cost increase on regular skills is noticeable even at Stage 1.

I use it on both my offtank and my main healer (though trying to find a replacement I like since I no longer need the massive sustain) and I love it.

Sounds good, @BXR_Lonestar, except with Lich you're now running an extremely selfish setup ... which doesn't provide much in buffs for your teammates. Where a core healing set like Olorime would provide a lot more benefit to the group.

It's probably fine for Vet Dungeons though.

    @Taleof2Cities

Lich is actually great in PVP though where pumping out burst heals is just as important as having another buff set. That is primarily what I use it for now anyways. And if sustain is a necessity and the guy doesn't want to cure his vampirism, I'm not sure there is a better set for sustain than Lich. Sacrifices are going to have to be made somewhere under those circumstances.

Not much thought went into the rework period. if there was thought, vampires wouldnt be slapping people with their weapons, blood frenzy wouldnt exist and blood scion wouldnt look like he has had 30 years of substance abuse.

Bah, DKs have been weapon slapping for years. Only change is the frequency.

It feels like there's not really any consideration ever given to tanks or healers in any content designed.

Indeed, and the sad part is people are actually satisfied with these changes. Smh people are actually okay with this mediocrity just because they can make a new "build" and "vampire is a playstyle now". Lmfaoo bs. People only used 1 or 2 skills before this rework, and people are still only gonna use 1 or 2 skills after it smh. Lol its ridiculous.
