I bought the expansion. They made sure no one gets in this time?

Stuck in character load, PC EU. Just another of the poor saps in line, I guess.
Also, was anyone else's cinematic weirdly pixelated?? My graphics aren't low, last I checked.

Honestly, I am not saddened and not surprised. Servers have been experiencing serious problems over the past few months.

I guess as stated above this is the many thousands of existing players trying to get on after the horrendously long patch time, but also no doubt the new players tempted in who will now see what patch day nightmares we've all come to experience so regularly.

Hope it rights itself later. *shakes fist*

EDIT: Got past post login loading screen. Now stuck at character loading screen.

PC EU here too.

Was able to get in, had char at the boat to Skyrim, was able to go there too no problem, but..

1) Logging in from client took excessively long
2) Relogging between chars to reset hirelings is taking even longer, it seems like at least 5-10 minutes, in fact, it's what I've been busy with for about 30 minutes now for just three characters (relogging twice). So far it works, but just takes a huge amount of time stuck in the 'loggin in - waiting for character load' screen. Still waiting for my third character to load.. Everything else from what I've seen so far appears to be working as usual.

A while ago there was a request to post info so they could troubleshoot this issue, which happens a lot when huge volumes of people try to enter the problem at the same time, so my account name is @AlyennahsCrafting if it is of any use and been busy from at least 18.55 CEST or 16.55 UTC if my math isn't off..

So far no errors fortunately, will update if I get dumped back to the login screen or make it in..

Update 1: 20.00 CEST and still stuck..

Update 2: 20.15 CEST: despite moving the mouse every so often and such, got kicked back to the login screen..

Here's for another attempt, I am pretty stubborn..

Update 3: 20.18 CEST: try to login again, almost immediately get the 'ERROR - Unable to connect to game server. Make sure you have a valid internet connection' Error.. So I am giving up for now.. BTW that I was able to post this is proof I have a valid internet connection.

Also, as a side note, since that is also a recurring problem which might conceivable be related, regularly, at random times, my char stops responding to any non-WASD input. So can't sheathe or switch weapons or interact with items.. then a few moments later I get kicked out to the login screen, log back in, everything works fine again.

@ZOS_SarahHecker if you need any more data, please let me know. (Just requested a change in my username here btw just to try and avoid confusion)

Inadequate login server capaabilities. This seems to be a reoccurring thing whenever loads of people try to log in simultaneously. Perphaps the megaserver techmology itself is to blame. Everyone being in their own "realms" would eliminate one process from login, which is instance assignment.

@ZOS_GinaBruno it seems clear that only the login servers are online because none of us can get past the character loading screen. Please advise. I keep getting booted from character load screen to the login screen

To answer my own question - yes, I was able to log in on NA.
