Thanks vm. Why is it always EU?
The PC-EU server is our most popular and highest population server and also has more condensed prime time hours compared to the North American servers (mostly due to time zones). Prime time is also earlier than in North America, so on launch days like today, our European players are usually the first to encounter and call out issues.

Ain´t the obvious solution to improve the EU-megaserver then? You have been ignoring this problem for years, fix it

It seems astounding to me that ZeniMax hasn't by now expanded capcity to avoid these peak time issues, if there are enough people playing to cause these issues then that suggests to me that there are enough people playing to justify increasing capacity? I don't get why these issues are still going on after such a protracted period of time.
Well, how about WE SPLIT THE EU SERVER THEN?
Server too popular to even stay up? SPLIT IT!
Offer free transfers and show server % loads so ppl can choose where to stay. Make one for West EU and one for East EU
Where is the problem in that?
Edit: Or, if splitting is hard, make an Asian server, I'm pretty sure that will take the load off too
