If it affects their bottom line, then no. Besides that, if they did give a free day to PC and not to console, console players whining would be...substantial.

That's not what I mean.

I simply meant any progress we paid folk might have made in the new chapter this morning before they took the server down again could very likely get rolled-back to where we were before they brought the server up after the patch.

And @sean.plackerb14_ESO it's not out of line to expect a roll-back for this when they've executed roll-backs for much less than a huge swath of the playerbase getting unauthorized access. They have to do something to reverse the progress those people made, and a general roll-back for everyone seems to me to be the most efficient way.

sees patch complete header on forums, rushes up some irl work and sits down to play and servers back in maintenance again coz something else broke.. tbh not at all surprised though

I take it some on here this is their first time experiencing a launch of an MMORPG game, DLC or expansion? If you can't handle downtime and need to freak out cause the servers are not up exactly when they say they would be, you should go play single player games. EVERY MMORPG goes through this and EVERY FORUM goes insane because of downtime.

It has gotten to the point with ZOS that people aren't even angry anymore because they never expected it to work in the first place. I've been playing MMOs since the late 90s and I've *NEVER* seen such a thing.

No server roll back.

"12pm EDT update: At this time, we are estimating to re-open the PC NA/EU megaservers within the hour. For visibility, the issue we were fixing was everyone having access to the Greymoor Chapter despite not having purchased it. Once we re-open, anyone who logged in this morning that has not purchased Greymoor will still see it as "owned" in the Crown Store; this is a UI error, and if you'd like to purchase the Chapter, you'll simply need to manually navigate to the website to purchase. Thanks again for everyone's patience while we worked through this issue. We'll let you know as soon as we open."
