what NPC chararacter do you dislike the most in the game?

@vestahls Agree. He might get a bit annoying sometimes, but I also can't stay it for long. He might be a dumdum, but he's kind and just want everyone to get along with great enthusiasm. That's nice in the world of Elder Scrolls. Think Steve Blum is also doing an excellent job with Rigurt. Sounds like he's having fun.

I also like Abnur a lot. He's an ass, but I love him for it. He's pragmatic and in the end he always try do things for the greater good.

Agree on that as well, he's an ass but he's meant to be one. He's not like those characters ZOS makes that we're so obviously supposed to like but don't (coughAyrenncough), we're supposed to be at least conflicted about Abnur, and that's what makes him a well written character.
His voice actor, Alfred Molina, also clearly understands him well judging by the interviews he's given.

People just don't seem understand Stibbons and Lady Laurent. Could it not be more obvious that they are truly, madly, deeply in love with one another?

"Stibbons" is actually Gaston, XIV Vicomte de St. Ibons, a very high-ranking and extremely wealthy Breton nobleman. He was never happy with his lot in life, and felt himself to be eminently unsuited to the role.

In contrast, Clariss Laurence was of extremely low birth. Through strength of personality alone she managed to rise from the squalid urban slum she was born in to become an "actress", specialising in the private performance of sophisticated adult role play.

One hired the other. It was love at first sight. They realised they completed one another. They decided to escape their pasts together, and live the lives they both wanted to live and not the ones forced upon them by accidents of birth.

The rest of the story tells itself, but be in doubt, Stibbons is getting everything he truly desires.

Oh and iirc I killed Danus. Because doing that quest so early in the game was a bitter pill.

I didn't like being ordered around by that power hungry Argonian in Sadrith Mora either.

Oh, haven't seen those. Think I must now. And yes, agreed. I much prefer Abnur over many of the characters who are supposed to be "likeable". Like Khamira in Elsweyr. Didn't give a damn about her, but was very pleased to see Abnur again. Could almost sense him rolling his eyes on the inside sometimes.


And to not be off topic, I can join in and mention Ayrenn as a disliked character.

Narsis Dren is an idiot, but he's supposed to be that way and at least you can show him what you think of him in the end. For me, "bad" characters are somehow okay, if they make sense storywise.

That said, I actually like Abnur Tharn, Uncle Sheo is okay to me (scary, but that's what he's supposed to be, after all), Lady Laurent and Stibbons I actually find quite amusing, oh, and honestly, who can hate Rigurt?! He may be dumb as an ox, but he's a nice one.

Any NPC that thinks they are amazing and is rude or insulting towards me. Like a random Orc in a town giving me attitude... Im like sorry, do you have any idea who I am and what I am capable of?

Now the thing is, many of these you cant actually kill, and that's where the frustration comes in lol.

I was hesitating much. Nicolene is annoying but we don't meet her again. The Prophet (main vanilla storyline) is not that annoying but we met him way too much (for obvious story reasons) - a bit like Razum-dar (that I disliked for being this lackey of Ayrenn but is still funny).
Then I though of NPCs that keep repeating scripted dialogues in areas you dwell. Like, Stuga. But they have been fixed somehow.

Alinor is my craft "home" so each time I hear him it's unbearable I don't know but in the french version he sings not that well... so the feel is even more cheesy.

Cadwell, Khamira, Za'ji, and Caska are all really uninteresting to me. There's a lot of zone content I haven't done yet but from that that I have, those four are just really uninspired or cheesy or both. Sheogorath and Razum-dar pretty much suffer the same, but they're so memed about at this point that they don't phase me anymore

King Jorunn or whatever the voice actor did a terrible job had to mute this character during the Ebonheart quests for him in Eastmarch and for the prologue quest sounds like someone with speech problems trying to speak normal while doing a bad Nordic accent. Just trash.

Cause it kind of is your fault. Saving the relic ends up being the best outcome even though it doesn't seem like it. It gets modified so it doesn't eat souls anymore and gets destroyed after a single use to stop an invasion.

Well he's voices by Peter Stormare, who is actually from Sweden so it's honestly more authentic than most of the Nordic accents in the game.

I thought Jorunn spoke like that because he was permanently drunk and slurring his words.

I know that why I was surprised by the terrible voice acting but maybe its just bad voice direction someone in the sound booth was like "we need you to sound like you have a speech problem and also you need to sound like someone who is imitating a bad Nordic accent" either way I had to mute Jorunn probably top 10 worst voice acting in the game.
