This new system is there just to increase playtime numbers for investors and potentially sell some skips in crown store later. Obviously I am going to grind the items, but not because I want to; because I don't want to be at disadvantage in PvP against players who have those new powerful items. (For example Malacath's Band of Brutality)

I was planning to wait until the chapter likely goes on sale in the fall (they usually do) except for that, because I really love puzzles. It could have been awesome. I'm disappointed that it's not all it could've been.
If I had power to change it, this is what I would do and why.
1. Leads would have no expiration.
2. There would be an option for leads to be transferred to inventory, where they would not be bound.
3. Antiquities would not be bound.
4. Three locations would be excluded as possibilities: Elinhir, the quest-locked region in Coldharbour, and Eyevea.
The reason for the first three, is because this is a multi-player game, and I am strongly against grinding. Games should be fun. Nobody should be required to do things that miserable for them as solo activities just to accomplish a goal. Grinding leads to burn-out.
Is not the purpose of an MMO to play together? To be able to help each other with our goals? With trade, with groups?
People will be finding leads who have no interest in pursuing them, or who don't have Greymoor, while people like me, who love puzzles, and would rather be out getting Antiquities than hunting for leads, would love to trade for them. But that's been cut off as an option.
Meanwhile, there will be people who hate running Antiquities, who will be loathing every second of grinding up the skill lines, but will do it because they want one of the mythic pieces, or the furnishings, or the wolf mount. I would love to be able to help them. I could pick up these things because I love puzzles, and sell them, trade them for leads, donate them to my trade guild for raffles/auctions to help pay for our trader, or just go get them to help my friends.
But I can't.
The reason for the latter, is because those locations don't fit the spirit of hunting Antiquities, especially as long as the 30-day lead expiration is in effect. Elinhir is a very hostile group area in Craglorn. Many people will find it very difficult to get through alone, and one should not have to ask for help from others in a strictly solo activity.
The area of Coldharbour north of the Hollow City and south of the Endless Stair wayshrine cannot be accessed by those who've started the Main quest line, and not finished it. No one should be required to run the entire Main quest line in 30 days to get to a dig site. Likewise, Eyevea requires the entire Mage's Guild questline.
It has been pointed out that re-scrying is an option, but this can only be done by choosing to "abandon" scrying progress on a lead, and it's not at all clear that this an option, nor that it can be done without losing the lead. (Nor would it fix Eyevea.) At the very least, though, making it clear that this is an option, would help a lot with the other two.
