Its pretty enjoyable, but unless they add new content to shoot for (whether its new mythics, furnishings, etc.) it will lose novelty fairly quickly. Even more so if people are only doing this system for the Mythics, they will aboslutely hate this system in that case.

They did say this was the foundation for future things like tavern games. If they build upon it I can maybe see it being interesting, but right now if you've done it all it'll be boring. Like how quickly the novelty of ranking up the Psijic skill line was.

I have enjoyed it once i figured out what to do.

The tips were vague and lacked clarity for the beginners................which we all are as far as this mini-game goes.

As an end game player I have many skill points at the ready.

I would not enjoy this skill grind with limited skill points.

That said I am looking forward to the grind when it goes live.

Solid, adds a chunk of new content and stuff...but have to take off a point due to the rng being *** nonsence at times.

I have enjoyed the antiquities and could see spending time at it, and plan to once it goes live... I am not saying there are not drawbacks...

There are 3 types of items found with the antiquities, the majority are vendor trash, some are unique (Like the mount), then there are the rest, useful but not unique.

The Vendor trash is fine as is, it has no use other then to sell to vendors. The Unique items like the mount are also fine as is, a reward for the effort.

My biggest issue is with the last type, Useful but not unique, if I can find the same items over and over, as long as I find the leads, should not be bound. I should be able to sell any of these items that I have found and really don't want. This allows for those of us that enjoy the Antiquities to make a bit of extra cash while we look for the items we really want and lets the folks that don't have the desire to hunt antiquities get a few of the items they may want (but not enough to waste their time getting themselves)
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most...

It's not completely bad, tbh I was excited about new unique furnishing. But:
    1. You should waste a lot skill points into two skill lines that actually a one skill line.
    2. Trash items doesn't stack (at least week ago) so u should destroy a trash item (so lost gold, not a lot but still) in a chosen zone or waste time for a travel to a vendor (or a crown store for a shameless option of trader)
    3. Chests in dig spots are not new chests actually but were moved from overland. Simple increase of grind level
    4. Traditional slot. Amen
    5. I expect that most of unique, antique, rare an blah-blah artifacts will be MUCH more common than say a Redguard Spittoon (or another rare purple blueprint items)
Sorry for my english. I try my best

    It's ok.

The rewards are good, so that's a positive.

But it's too grindy IMO. They've latched onto this idea of making us not only grind for items, but grind for pieces of items. Not liking this direction of the game. (makes me worry they will add "mythic" level of gear to the game above gold and treat it like the jewelry system where you have to get ten to make one and need a bunch of those to upgrade it and then when you break it down you have a chance to get one piece again, not even a whole one).

And the system, no matter what fans of the game say, is a mini-game/mobile game. I'm sure it's the best we can expect. They can't create a couple hundred unique quests for the system, it has to be something constantly repeatable and for that it needs to have a system where the system just generates a puzzle to solve each time. So I can't hate on them for doing the best they can with what they have. The scrying looks decent at least, but the digging part of the game is laughable. Just watching the game snap out to an overhead view of a huge plot of dirt that's always in dirt/sand and clear day-time even if you were in a jungle area in the rain and night is lazy. I'd rather that have stayed 3rd person and be more interactive of my character actually going around and doing the same sort of work required but having animations to see my character doing it. More work, but do-able IMO.

I also think they asked for too many skill points to devote the system. I'm sure you could ignore a few passives and you could split scrying and digging between characters if needed, but it could have been planned out better IMO. At least the smaller zone coming later in the year usually offers more skill points vs. the large zones, so we should get some breathing space then.

After finally trying it instead of combat and gear changes on pts it's truly underwhelming. Had a secret hope that it's not just repeatable mobile time killer but it actually is. Super lazy approach was taken and some pretty potent gear locked behind level of grind/rng we never saw before doesn't makes it much more appealing.

The items are cool, but having to grind until my fingers fall off seems boring as hell. I'd do it, sure, but because i want the rewards, and nothing else.

It seems really grindy at the moment...
I do understand why it needs to be more of a grind than previous skill lines. You would only need to do it once per account, this also justifies the skill points IMO. Unlike something like psijic where you need to do it per character. They also can't put the skill line in the crown store for this reason

I want to test how RNG the leads for mythics are based on where others have found them.
Thanks to the guy who started the thread on the PTS section of the forums, it will be a massive help. I would hope at the very least leads for mythics drop in the same area.

The antiquity system itself seems ok, but considering it is the prime selling point of a new gameplay feature for Greymoor, I find it underwhelming.

New gameplay features of ESO chapters
    Morrowind: Warden class (and Battlegrounds)
Summerset: Psijic guild (and Jewelery crafting)
    Elsweyr: Necromancer class (and Dragons)
Greymoor: Antiquity system (and Vampire/WW redesign)

Former chapters brought gameplay features that changed people's gameplay.
Greymoor offers the biggest grind ever to find SIX mythic set items?
Sorry, I find it too much grind for not enough new gameplay in a full-priced chapter.

A horrendous grind with few useful rewards. The three "Lore" snippets we get from three different "experts" resemble a series of posts from a lore forum thread.

I'm planning minimal participation, if any at all. Maybe sometime next year when I've accumulated a significant number of leads.

I found it mediocre except new furnishings.

Lorewise I was expecting some "flashbacks" (locations, characters) while discovering antiquities, but we got some meaningless small notes.

I kind of have same opinion this chapter seems very lacking seems more like a dlc zone. I won’t do quest or antiquity system till launch because don’t want to ruin The quest since I only really do them ounce and don’t want to hate a grind I probably won’t do and if I do probably be in between bg and dungeons ques. Which is why I started this poll to see what people thought.
This chapter seems more of a nostalgia cash grab which sucks because I know the developers try and make this game great but the suits make them do bad things

I was going to give them a 4, but I reduced that to a 3 after the last PTS patch notes where they reduced the number of Scrying turns and decreased the bonus loot. The bonus loot wasn’t that great anyway so I don’t know why they felt compelled to nerf it.

Also I agree that the number of skill points required to max out both skill lines is excessive. It’s going to be really hard for new players to participate in the Antiquities system and still have enough skill points for normal combat and crafting.

And this thing about doing fragments has really got to go. The game is grindy enough as it is without adding another frustration level.

However, I did enjoy going out and exploring the zones again. I think this will be a great way to make use of some of the older content. The minigames were not that bad but with the scrying change, we will see. I think it will be important to keep adding new items on a regular schedule, otherwise it will get boring quickly.

One way to force PvP players to extremely long mobile game like grind just for powerful rewards. This new system is there just to increase playtime numbers for investors and potentially sell some skips in crown store later. Obviously I am going to grind the items, but not because I want to; because I don't want to be at disadvantage in PvP against players who have those new powerful items. (For example Malacath's Band of Brutality)

I enjoyed it. although I also didn't mind the Psijic questline because I like running around, exploring, getting hopelessly lost and collecting things. I ran like 7 or 8 leads last night and had a blast. took me a couple times of trial and error before learning the minigame mechanics, but it was fun, and I know for sure I'll be hunting down leads and such for fun. bonus points if some of the goods are sellable.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

Not looking forward to another grind. In fact I probably won’t bother with it. I’ve never been a fan of mini-games, anyway.

I have two accounts, but I’ve only bought the new chapter on one of them. This has never happened before. I’ve always been hyped about new chapters and eager to try them out on all my many characters. But from what I’ve seen so far on the PTS, the new content is not exciting me. Maybe that’ll change after I get into it, but my hopes are currently not high.
