@ZOS_BillE @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_KaiSchober @ZOS_AntonioP @ZOS_JessicaFolsom can the nightblade please get a response on if we can expect some class changes this patch? I’m sure you are all aware of how unhappy many in the community are with their beloved class and it would go a long way to know if we can expect some love this coming dlc. Thanks for all you do and hope to hear some good news.

Class changes (including Nightblade) are not part of the focus for this upcoming update, and very few adjustments will be made relative to other changes. As Brian mentioned in his preview, the primary focus for Update 26 is reinforcing itemization standards, improving quality of life for werewolves, and a few adjustments regarding PvP balance.

So the combat team screwed NB's with nerf upon nerf upon nerf till they aren't even competitive, along with introducing bugs like everything breaking cloak, and now not only does heavy attacks pull you out of cloak as well but we're basically getting the "too bad, so sad" treatment cause your not going to bother to even look at this stuff till at least the next dlc which is four months away. And your not even promising class changes then, your just saying not this time, so we could very well wait four months for you to give us the same line again

They made time to ruin the class, but not fix it apparently.

    You know.

Ive been playing this game for years. I loved this game. It was my 'home' of sorts. I had developed a nice little community and an online group of close knit friends. Playing the magblade was one of the most satisfying experiences in gaming ive had. Taking my first steps in pvp. Slowly building up my dps to compete in endgame content. Then summerset rolled around things were looking good. I started being competitive in pvp, finding multiple different ways to play my chosen class and have fun. Then the next patch came. I lost a playstyle to a nerf. So did my friends. A couple left. Then the next patch came. Lost another playstyle. Even more friends left. Then so on and etc. Elsweyr came along, and the dot changes were disasterous but there were a lot of positive changes, a few of my friends started wetting their toes again. Then dragonhold came. My class felt obliterated. Yet nothing major had changed. Apparently my friends felt the same. My core group all left. All people who loved this game. All people who kept coming back in spite of the game performance because of how fun the experience was, because of the community. Now a couple of hold outs my self included make half hearted logins, do our daily writs, maybe do a pledge and leave. The pvp isnt fun. The endgame pve is non existent because our group is gone.

Performance is important sure, but if the game is no longer satisfying and rewarding to play, your not going to have players here long enough to applaud the fixes.

Youve chased all my friends away, and now, by blatantly refusing to make even the most minor fixes toward class performance youve chased me away. For the first time im unsubbing and uninstalling. Ill come back when the classes are fixed, but until then zos will not get another dime out of me.

All my NB chars became crafters, NB is always the first nerf target every single patch.

The combat team never bring something good for us, never.

No more grind, I just want few class change tokens.

So 50k concurrent players on Steam alone aren't enough for your combat balance team to put effort into the expansion? I don't know what to say anymore.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

50k concurrent players on Steam alone is the reason enough to not put effort into anything. Lots of people are playing so the game is in a great state in their book.

So if they won't do class changes at all, be ready for another 3 months of Blastbone spam that on top of the healing nerf will be a 72% reduced healing in pvp while affected by major defile.

Strong pay2win classes will stay strong and even more, weaker classes will be even weaker, good game.

LoL pay2win classes. Top pvp classes are Magsorc and Magplar. Stamcro is strong but having just major defile isn't going to put it on top, especially when it can be purged. Plus Magcro is nothing more than a one trick pony for damage. Magden and Stamden are strong but not elite like the first two I mentioned.

Lol magsorc and magplar better than stamcro..a decent stamcro wreck any other class

Exactly, I don't know what game he plays, but stamcro and stamden are the 2 best stamina pvp classes.
Yeah magcro and magden might be underwhelming even tho they are op for group and small scale battle so.

They literally have zero drawbacks, they have big and easy damage burst and spammable on low cost: sub assault/blastbone, with attached 2 of the most powerful debuffs of eso for pvp, major fracture and major defile; they have the best mitigations out of all classes, they have the best healing out of all classes, and they have the best sustain out of all classes, maybe they lack mobility because of their sturdyness, but stamden bird major expedition makes them really fast too.

So I still have to find something they don't lack.
Ah right and they have plenty of group abilities too making them viable also for group and small scale play.

Stamplar for example is so strong and have even easier burst, but it's usually hella squishy.
Stamdk is strong too but slow as a turtle and to get good heals needs to run a dang 4k magicka ability for major meding lol
Stamblade with the incap change returned to be pretty viable, even tho cloak is procced even by single targets due to lag and basically have nothing stronger than other stamina classes, and have zero help group utilities.
Finally stamsorc have practically nothing, only weapon abilities and close to zero passive synergies, just mobility probably.

So I say it again, strong pay2win classes will stay strong and even more, weaker classes will be even weaker, good game.

Pretty confident more people play NB than main WW (as in the focus of their build is when they're in WW form). To neglect such a large portion of the player population isn't wise, and is why I haven't played the game actively (I'm a stamblade main) since July of last year, and I'm confident a lot of other Nightblade mains have stopped playing due to the poor combat changes as well (I personally know 4 others) and that number is only going to increase.

At the end of the day it's not my game so you do you. I'm just informing you of the consequences.

That's pretty much what I'm doing to be honest. Haven't really played since Elswyer and just following the patches to see if something changes and if it's worth to start playing the game which I fell in love with again (have been playing Nb since beta and did high end duels and pvp for years). Yet every single patch in the past year (including this one and Elswyer) was a massive disappointment. This patch might be the final nail in the coffin for me since they "can't afford to focus on classes" while focusing on creating overloaded sets while a former patch was developed to bring sets in line. They're just milking the playerbase at this point.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

So am I to assume that leaving Nightblades in their current mutilated state and nerfing them even further this update is supposed to be part of Brian's "few adjustments regarding PvP balance"? Devs are the reason the NB class has been a steaming pile of guar manure for months now, and we are supposed to expect the class to be broken for at least another 4 months? The rest of the year? You all suddenly pulled Werewolf buffs out of thin air without a word for years, during an update which isn't even focused on them. When CAN we expect improvements to Nightblade then? Or are you just not saying anything so that you have an excuse to string along your players while pocketing that easy sub money?

Its been over a year and will go on until August, where we MIGHT get a buff, but then again its ZoS we are talking about. They should just give us class change tokens so I can play my 28k achievments main.

Guys just use your nightblades for the following:

    Crafting Writs
    Farming flowers
    Overland questing

Thats it, those are the only things NBs are good at any more.
Everything else they had has been given to other classes.

Remember, buy Elsweyr for that OP necro class and greymoor for the vamp changes.

WTB class change token for my main that has all my achieves on

My guess is some of the devs got penetrated by NBs from the behind so hard when they tried to PvP, so they suffer PTSD to this day and don't wish this traumatic experience on anyone.

I quit about 5 months ago over the state of the nb class since I love picking one favorite specialty in games. In terms of game enjoyment, I like knowing the ins and outs of a class more than roles (instead of maining healers or tanks for example, I play all roles but within a class, with the expectation that only one role will be an ideal fit for it. In my case, I came in expecting nb to be ideal for dps but to really enjoy crafting a potentially suboptimal but creative and surprisingly fun healer). I had alts of every other class as well for flexibility/practice but endgame viability of my nb healer and and nb stamdps were necessary for me to continue paying and playing.

I don’t mind some variation but when wanting to play my favorite class becomes a handicap and I switch to my warden healer or my stamsorc for an easier time, that’s a no go. Being known as the nb guru in your guild because no one else still mains them is also ridiculous. That’s a sign that there’s real class disparity.

I check the board every few weeks to see if anything’s changed that might make me come back. So far it looks like It’s only gotten worse! And now with the whole perfected vMA thing?! It looks like I made the right call!

My eso funds went to my gaming backlog and new releases. At least Animal Crossing won’t nerf my hybrid flowers after all my time spend grinding gardening!
