@ZOS_BillE @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_KaiSchober @ZOS_AntonioP @ZOS_JessicaFolsom can the nightblade please get a response on if we can expect some class changes this patch? I’m sure you are all aware of how unhappy many in the community are with their beloved class and it would go a long way to know if we can expect some love this coming dlc. Thanks for all you do and hope to hear some good news.

Class changes (including Nightblade) are not part of the focus for this upcoming update, and very few adjustments will be made relative to other changes. As Brian mentioned in his preview, the primary focus for Update 26 is reinforcing itemization standards, improving quality of life for werewolves, and a few adjustments regarding PvP balance.

I appreciate this level of response as it is honest. However, there are some glaring issues within class balance currently that are outside the bounds of any armor changes that NEED addressed. The fact that these egregious scenarios are going unchanged is very concerning because the cadence for game updates is very long between adjustments. We do not receive incremental balancing in this game and as such must wait another quarter for any hope of a change. That's quite honestly unacceptable.

Magsorc kit and NB weakness are two areas that are agreed upon by the community. The focus of this patch is not class balancing but small tweaks to the effectiveness of these two classes should be made outside of the scope of the patch. Egregious issues should not be ignored, its the responsibility of the developers. It just further makes a joke out of things if we have to stick into this meta for 4 more months.

The only thing they'll touch on Nightblade is the functionality of how our heavy attack from cloak will work; saw a post about how HA and SA from cloak won't stun, or set off balance. I will try and find the thread and copy it.

    Keep you posted.

Tbh it's our fault for playing nightblade. The zos devs clearly have no idea about the game and they only buff classes that the whales spend most money on. Sorry to say this but expecting any buffs from people who don't even play their game is a waste of time. I can bet in the fact zos devs don't even think the magicka sub class of nightblades exists at this point.

But hey there is a solution, be a better person and stop playing this absolute ape of a game or make a stamcro.

Sometimes holding on hurts more than letting go. We all saw it coming. Nightblade isn't a class anymore and we have to accept the fact.

The only issues I have with this class are that Veiled Strike is really awful for a class spammable, the sacrificial healing skill is terrible to boot, and the "from stealth" passives need to be consolidated and then add in another class passive. Both base skills need to be reworked.

Took long enough to answer people asking about this before.

You keep stringing people along (it was mentioned months ago about a class balance/overhaul) as they hope that underperforming classes will get some adjustments to skills and passives.

But thank you for at least saying it so now I don't need to bother looking at your game until the next DLC. I don't feel like playing a broken class in this game and your other classes bore me.

Setting improvements aside, if you can't take the time to work on the documented bugs with NBs (i.e. Cloak being broken by everything) then my time will be spent better elsewhere.

If class changes are not part of the focus for this update, then why do Heavy Attacks now break Cloak on PTS when they don't do that on Live?

Bug fix or not (and whether intended or not), this is a massive nerf to the class as it entirely deprives it of its sustain and burst (as we cannot heavy attack weave into a Surprise Attack stun anymore).

It's not just affecting balance though, it's affecting the class identity:
A nightblade is now better off using Dizzying Swing than their class spammable, as one of them deals more damage, doesn't require another global cooldown to CC with (though you can still cast Dizzy from Cloak to "hide" the burst).

At this point stamina nightblade plays exactly like a budget version of stamden or stamcro and whatever unique playstyle it had before is gone.

If the intention of this update is not to make class changes (or affect class balance), I would suggest rolling back this "bug fix" until the update that is supposed to make class changes.

it might not matter by the time they get around to fixing it. The game simply is unplayable a large percent of the time in Cyro.

So if they won't do class changes at all, be ready for another 3 months of Blastbone spam that on top of the healing nerf will be a 72% reduced healing in pvp while affected by major defile.

Strong pay2win classes will stay strong and even more, weaker classes will be even weaker, good game.

Regarding PvP balance, are you telling us that in devs eyes magblade and stamcro in pvp are fairly balanced? You must be kidding me, is Brian even knows that class like nb exist?

LoL pay2win classes. Top pvp classes are Magsorc and Magplar. Stamcro is strong but having just major defile isn't going to put it on top, especially when it can be purged. Plus Magcro is nothing more than a one trick pony for damage. Magden and Stamden are strong but not elite like the first two I mentioned.

Though that's unfortunate... classes imbalance is very noticeable and it would be nice if we didn't have to wait until Update 27 which will be in august 2020.

    Hi Gina,

It is possible I missed it, but is there a timeline of when we may see another class review? Or is this an indication that the developer team has completed their class reviews that were discussed in the past, and while they may make future revisions, do not expect to have the same kind of focus we saw before on reviewing classes in depth?

Asking for a Stamsorc main ;)

Pretty confident more people play NB than main WW (as in the focus of their build is when they're in WW form). To neglect such a large portion of the player population isn't wise, and is why I haven't played the game actively (I'm a stamblade main) since July of last year, and I'm confident a lot of other Nightblade mains have stopped playing due to the poor combat changes as well (I personally know 4 others) and that number is only going to increase.

At the end of the day it's not my game so you do you. I'm just informing you of the consequences.
