PC EU since "futur hardware upgrade maintenance" - getting disconnected + crashes

The Rift and Southern Elsweyr ping up to 999, long loading screen, random kick to login screen. Right now and a couple hours ago. Russia, UTC+3.

Drats. I just did my routine every stuff on EU (Northern Elsweyr and Glenumbra) and forgot to check pings, transit times, and all that. I did not notice anything abnormal at 3pm ET local time.

Edit: went back in at Senchal at 3:10pm ET and latency was pretty high (250ms) compared to what I normally see (170ms). Other than that, nothing interesting happening.

It happens randomly whenever you try to log/relog or change zones. Literally when loading screen involved.

Main boss animations not showing, or stuck, he just kept perpetually jumping now. Lots of lag. Not really playbe atm. Again.

Problem: Skill lag and constant de-sync. Managed to get to the fire dragon before I crashed out of nowhere for no reason at all. Although laggy, everything was still kinda working when I got the Zos Crash Report window just randomly pop up on my screen mid fight. Had to wait a few minutes because "this account is still logged in"

Thank you all for the additional info. Could we ask you to try one more thing? Visit speedtest.net from your location when you aren't experiencing these issues, click on "Change Server" and choose a major German city such as Frankfurt. You may want to try doing so outside of peak prime time hours. Then do the same thing when you are experiencing these issues and see if there are any noticeable differences between the two. If you're able, sharing those numbers with us will also help a great deal. Thank you!

Trial instances are also still extremely desync (and laggy aometimes), we just had to cancel our raid starting at 9 cest after both vHof and vSS were completely desync and unplayable to finish, so don't know what server capacity you tried to expand but it is as bad as the last weeks were

Problem: General server lag, skill lag and constant de-sync also occasional crashes, but those can happen anytime.

They haven't done the server capacity increase yet. The maintenance the other day was just in preparation for it.

Problems with the login to the game began immediately after maintenance. I do not notice sharp ping peaks (no more than the last weeks), but very often disconnect during boot screens.

Getting disconnected at nearly every loading screen atm, i.e. when zoning into a delve or out of it, can't play ESO at all pretty much. Yesterday and earlier this week everything seemed fine. PC-EU.

It's at these times the dark, suppressed memories of the EUW server of League of Legends are coming back...
Back in the day they had terrible performance (just like ESO does now) and everyone kept joking about the hamsters and how it was constantly on fire (just like in ESO now). It got a lot better when they moved from (I think it was) Frankfurt to Amsterdam...

Maybe the German servers are just really really bad? Honestly, I don't trust my country with anything related to internet. Politicians here are talking about 5G and getting rid of 4G when you don't even have 3G in most of Germany. The server situation is much less transparent to me than the cellphone reception, but considering the annecdotal evidence from League of Legend's server in Germany and the lack of investment into digital infrastructure... perhaps it's a potential cause worth looking into?

I do wonder if its something to do where the Servers are currently located.
Maybe it would be a wise idea at some point to move them to a better location.
I play on Na but well I do think there is something causing the Eu servers to not have as great performance. I'm guessing the location where the servers are located could be in a very high trafficked area. Or they need to get a better ISP.

Probably just high internet traffic. I don't know who their ISP is, but my suspicion is that it is Level 3 (now CenturyLink).

Yesterday ping jumped to 999 in guild house while just doing parse. In dungeon I didn't feel much difference though. But now I can't even login. Endless loading screen...

What was peculiar in my case is that I experienced these issues both during more or less primetime (18:00 CEST) and 'downtime' (friday morning, 6:00 CEST). Ping to the server was great, speedtest showed the usual 90 MBits/s, yet I had infinite loading screens and login troubles. It still might be an issue with the Frankfurt node / connectivity with it, but doesn't explain the hiccups well outside active hours.

Due to the need to increase server capacity for EU they have successfully launched the new EU server though.

General bad performance with regards to massive desyncs/skill delays in prime time especially in instances such as raids. Starts to be noticeable from 5:30 pm BST with the game becoming unplayable on occasions at 7:30 pm BST on weekdays through to 10:30 pm BST.

Saturday performance started to be noticeable from 1:30 pm BST

Will also point out ESO is fully port forwarded.

i dont find my problem connected to any particular zone. Every loading screen (be it between zones, or while porting into dung or BG) is just roll of a dice for me. It was happening before sometimes, but now is way more frustrating.

I'm in Finland and EU is practically unplayable atm because of endless loading screens and subsequent inability to log in after I terminate the process in frustration. NA doesn't seem to have the same problems but I didn't test it very extensively so don't take my word for it. Long loading screens have always been an annoying problem with ESO but the current situation is untenable.

I have already had 3 endless loading screens from delve to zone or from one zone to the other and one crash back to login screen trying to login this morning - its not even 12 o'clock. Can you take whatever you did on that maintenance last week back to what it was before? It was better than this.

Don't shoot me down for asking, someone has to do so - are you using the same add-ons on PTS as on Live?

It happens without addons or with addons. Exactly the same behavior since EU maintenance than on the PTS (which is US based).
