Okay Zos just confirmed my suspicions by ingame dialog. We are going to Cyrodiil next year.

I had this impression or feeling that Next Years Chapter Location and Focus will be Areas of Cyrodiil they did not add in when it comes to the Pvp War Zone. I just strongly suspected it. Now I'm feeling 100% that is where we are going. Dialogues downright telling it and strongly hinting towards Leyawiin (Bravil might be included).
Even before Greymoor I had that feeling and I'm getting Oblivion Vibes from the new Jarls Costume even. Which kinda reminds me of that one favorite attire of mine I would like to see added in from Oblivion. Not to mention the clearly obvious Oblivion like Dialog they are putting out with Greymoor.
You will see it when you play the chapter its clear as day the Obvious Oblivion References and there is other npcs referencing Cyrodiil.
Also that one argonian npc in the Solitude outlaws refuge I think it was. Something he said gave me that impression that we might be seeing Leyawiin and the Dunmer that had strong Shivering Isles Vibes has dialog that straight out confirms the Cyrodiil thing and I do remember this from Oblivion's Thieves Guild
He makes references about Beggers and Thieves guild that one dialog confirms Cyrodiil, Because I knew right away what the dunmer was referencing.
I'm certain we are going to see both Leyawiin and Skingrad next year. Now which one will be the chapter I do not know but I'm certain next year will be the year that we do see them in the game itself. its Also the 15th Anniversary of Oblivion and that would be a great time to do it and I feel that is what Zenimax is doing.

You have no idea how obvious they made it even the
    antiquates npc
mentions Cyrodiil. The references I saw from those two npcs i mentioned above just confirmed it to me either way.

No I think it would be its own story, I doubt they will rehash the Oblivion invasion as that is already covered by the Molag Bal Invasion/plain meld thing and because Dagon doesn't do that till after the fall of the Three False Gods of Morrowind which I think was the big reason why he held out for now hes just waiting for the right moment. Given the lore of how two of them was enough to beat him plus the Coldhabour compact might prevent it so he might be waiting till Sothia Sil is Dead before going forth with his invasion plans. I doubt he would do an attempted invasion with the Three Demigods still alive because that means he would have to follow the Coldhabour compact that Sothia Sil got Mehrunes Dagon himself to agree too.

No I think there is a good chance that it will be its own unique story likely not even connected to Oblivion and Daedra. The Cyrodiil Chapter could even Political and could potentially deal with the full fallout of the Imperial Empire and the reformation of the two imperial states that happens when there is no empire. That would be an interesting chapter and hopefully that is what they are doing with it.
Either way it should be interesting.

I have not given out any true Greymoor Spoilers, other then mention some of the obvious stuff they included that hints at next years location. But I have not mentioned the names of the Npcs themselves. You will have to find them on your own and I didn't give out what they said other then mention in a spoiler what that one Npc was hinting at and if you played the theives guild or knew of them in Oblivon you would know. I guess I could have spoiled the Oblivion references but that is all I'm doing here I guess.

This is about the Chapter and Storyline after this years long storyline. It was clear to me that if this year is Skyrim then next year would be Cyrodiil as that would complete like a Full Circle with the five companions because that is where they started basically. Since this is the Year of Lyris and they have gotten all the other companions then next year could be the Prophets turn that is why I felt that it would be Cyrodiil. The not so subtle hints they are giving out that are to obvious just confirms it basically.
Now the chapter after 2021 that is a mystery and I'm guessing either Hammerfell or Blackmarsh since those are the biggest areas they still are able to cover besides the areas missing from Cyrodiil and then later on they can do the rest of Skyrim and finish up Tamriel. Then start focusing on Oblivion after all the zones they can add are in.
So that is what I think is going to happen.
Plus if I had not made this post its bound someone else might have at some point because its so obvious. Its not even an open secret and if you played Oblivion you would know for sure as soon as you play it and listen to Npcs anyways and that is why I think someone else would have made a thread about this if I didn't.
Maybe I shouldn't have made the thread this early but I doubt I'm the only one that suspected it. I don't think its much of a Secret that it would be Cyrodiil given there is still areas that have not been included in Eso.

I would prefer it to be Colovia. The area is the size of a Chapter. With a door to the north and east of the Gold Coast. Leading to the cities of Sutch, Sarchal and Skingrad see more. Varen is colovian...

The Nibenay is far too big for a chapter. It would involve a multi-part outing. With cities of Leyawiin, Ato and Mir Corrup. I have doubts for Bravil.

History-wise, it's nothing for the Nibenay. While Colovie promises a lot of imperial political intrigue ... I am very excited! ^^

If there isn't much History with the Nibenay that could allow for them to get creative with it.
Also I think people would want a bigger zone. Colovia would be nice but well Chorrol is a big part of it and its part of the pvp zone so they can't add that in and because of that they would be limited I think so the Colovia zone could be smaller to the point it should just be a dlc. or they would have to create fill in cities maybe and new areas to help make the zone seem bigger as people expect chapter zones to be not to small.

Nibenay being bigger would actually allow them to do stuff with that and fill in the map with cities that might exist during this time period that might not during Oblivion. That gives them more room to add more stuff and well make it feel like the size that a chapter should be with the amount of money people have to pay for them.

But I do think we are going to see both next year. They would do both if anything. If the chapter is Colovia I can see Nibenay being 4th quarter if its Nibenay as the chapter then it would likely be Colovia forth quarter.
That is what I think they are doing why do one when you can do both of them? It would be interesting to see what comes of that if they do both Colovia and Nibenay.

Can all PTS testers please keep all spoilers for the body of a topic and not the heading, and make it clear in the heading that there is a spoiler in the topic. If testers want to discuss in depth what's on the PTS then the PTS forum is the place to do it.

Just a general request, thanks, not aimed at the OP here in particular. It saves some of us having to take a month's absence from this forum just to avoid knowing things we'd rather find out for ourselves.

There are a lot of protagonists that I want to discover. Like Calantius of Skingrad. A real Colovian count who assumes his title, his people and the military heritage.

But I also want to discover the cities of Sutch ... removed from the final development of TES IV.
As well as Sarchal, barony of the county of Skingrad but also place of origin of the Mede.
Ato, the city known for its monasteries and silk.
Mir Corrup, the spa town of the imperial nobility where the intrigue of Palla was played out.

Its not like the devs won't spoil it with the last in game trailer for the forth quarter end trailer like they did with last years Trailer when they announced the Dark heart of Skyrim. So the Area itself shouldn't be a spoiler as it was clear as day that it would be ending up going to Cyrodiil at some point as a chapter and given the full circle thing it makes perfect sense. I have considered editing the title of the Thread and if more people ask me to I will.

The thing is with thread titles can only do so much and are limited in the number of letters and words you can put down for them. To make it so people see the thread I would edit it to remove the Cyrodiil part while saying the Okay Zos just confirmed my suspicions by ingame dialog on where we are going next year. Wouldn't have room to put Spoilers unless I do serious editing. Plus I did several edits to the thread and I think it fits for the thread. So that is why I didn't change it even though was in the process to I canceled it. I am willing to do it but unless more people complain I won't till then.

But I do understand your point as well and I agree. I'm not trying to spoil anything and I'm not with Greymoor story content or anything. As I've not played it and plus players do want to have that spoiler free. I'm considerate of that but well on this and the next years chapter location well that is just a location we know nothing about any storylines or what will happen and basically all I'm spoiling is the location because its so obvious this time around. Zenimax when they have npcs mention this location or they are going to that area or mentioning things or putting in stuff that hints towards those locations that is direct confirmation by Zenimax and that is what we see as the next chapter. This time it seems a lot less subtle and that is why I made this thread so people could get hyped for next year.

Ever since Wrothgar, the current chapter has given hints to the location of the next chapter. In the last few years, we knew where the next chapter would be. The Colovian area around Skingrad would be a great place to explore. But a lot of PvPers might be disappointed when they get a new region in Cryodiil but no expansion of the PvP area itself.

I think that is actually neat they have npcs do that.

Colovian Estates is actually out of the Three Banner War. It seems to be the same for Leyawiin. Out of context for PvP.

And many fans of the Empire absolutely want to see several imperial PvE regions with the imperial institutions. What the Gold Coast doesn't offer.

With this evidence and line about the Imperial library in one of the dlc dungeons stories it’s all but confirmed. Also it means an entire year of saving lol. I dislike everything imperial/oblivion related. Hopefully Blackmarsh is after and not dead last after hammerfell expansion.

I come back to the history of map sizes. Because many seem convinced that Colovie is a small DLC.

In my eyes, and in comparison with the previous chapters, Colovia is barely larger than a Chapter. While the Nibenay is much too big and will have to understand a Chapter and one or two DLCs.

A small DLC only includes a large city. (Dark Brotherhood indeed proposed two big cities). Colovian Estates have three big cities (to our knowledge). Gold Coast zone have two doors to Colovian Estates. The nothern door for Sutch and eastern door for Sarchal and Skingrad. The area is quite complete with Miscarcand, Istirus and other places.

The Nibenay is very wide but also empty. A Chapter could have Bravil + Ato + Mir Corrup. Leyawiin is too far south and would then be a simple Q4 DLC due to its isolation. And I already have a doubt if we will have Bravil. We have also Shivering Isles.

If Colovia were to be a small DLC ... It would be in two or three parts ... But very tiny because of the distance between the capitals of counties.

    ---

I will add this for my opposition to extended PvP : This would unbalance the number of possible possessions of the three factions: be it the number of forts, resources, or villages. But before I even think about it, I think about lore. And just lore tells that the conflict has nothing to do with Colovia and Nibenay.
They are good belligerents in war ... And the big winners for Colovia in 400 years.

I hope not... You're telling me I'd have to wait 8 years for spell crafting. FFS.

It's clear they saved Winterhold for spellcrafting and it only makes sense to bring it out next year after they've fixed standards, class identity and performace issues. I question whether or not people would be happy to visit Skryim 2 times in a row... however, people need reasons to upgrade our current characters. We don't need more classes, we need more skill options. Spellcrafting covers that and I'm not sure why it would ever come in Cyro.. :(
