Can you all just delete MagDK for good?

I won't waste my *** time writing pages of 5 years xp with the class this time....but here. Thank you for giving everyone a fossilize now with stupefy. Appropriately named. We finally had high dps in trials so you gotta nerf elf bane's use with zaan's. (im aware of zaan's buffs). And if it wasn't bad enough that magdks were using FORCE PULSE INSTEAD OF WHIP (coolest spammable in the game) instead of buffing whip, you nerf asylum destro. JUST DELETE THE CLASS! Wings suck, spammable is garbage, dots sucks, our skill costs are through the roof, our ult is our only burst....ugh...just....ugh.

Not even saying that all non-magDK Asylum Destro users were sent to oblivion in the process of nerfing magDK.

Magicka needs a new form of defensive, shields are trash and so is healing now, espacially in no-cp. Everyone just run stamcro with major protect, 10%ghost, 10% brp dw and minor protection. Sure seems really balanced.

Yea, not to mention with the implementation of the nerf to impen, stam builds can block, roll, etc. Magicka classes move further and further behind the stam meta.

Are you complaining that everyone will just become a vampire to gain access to this ability? While being the class that deals extra fire damage to vamps, if this is going to make everyone in the game vamps, shouldn't you be laughing hysterically in mDK?

And won't Zaan hit harder? It'll start lower but ramp up twice as fast and for 6 seconds!

On Live, the regular Asylum proc need 3 casts and the Perfected Asylum proc needs only 2 casts.

What he means is the new regular Asylum and Perfected Asylum Destruction Staves will need 3 Force Shock casts to proc.

Based on the wording it’s hard to tell if that’s what ZOS did or not. Need to have people check on PTS.

The perfect staff effect takes 2 force pulse to activate in 10 seconds. If the change stays it will take 3 pulses in 5 seconds

Actually I do think the majority of people will go vamp. I hear your point about the fire damage but let's be real, was it ever all that much? Especially with a cleanse...And for pve LOLLL. I never once took off vamp for any level with fire, and never will.
What I am complaining about, mostly, like i said....meh nvm. Im trying not to care. Take away your jabs, cleanse, and javelin and perhaps you can somewhat understand where I am coming from.

It doesn't seem to me that the perfected version hits after 2 force pulses. I may be wrong about that, not entirely sure. Zaan's got a buff but doesn't work with elf bane.

magDK is still there. The Zaan thing is sad, but Zaan got buffed overall and Domihaus is actually looking pretty juicy for Elfbane setups now.
As for the destro nerf, I hope they are going to change that. The feedback is already coming in. But even if they don't listen, remember that we can still use Siroria and Elfbane for some nice dps using whip. Asylum might have been more fun, but it wasn't the only leg magDK was standing on.

@flacidstone From the way it is looking now, you can still transmute your Elfbane jewelry, but you should wait with deconstructing your perfected (or even imperfect) Asylum staff and Zaan. In the mean time you might look into getting yourself a Domihaus head and shoulder piece, because that set works with Elfbane and the damage increase might already be worth it on its own, especially with that 100% uptime on Elfbane.

It's sustainable enough I guess. I've been parsing with MS and Elfbane and I've managed to hit 68k which is a personal record for me, so someone who plays better than me will be able to hit decent numbers on that. (I don't light attack enough)

Domihaus is already a good set on live in Sunspire because the dragons are so large that they actually stand in the damage and Zaan is a bit buggy on them sometimes, so you can already put that on there while farming FGD.
Keep in mind that on PTS they removed the proc chance of Domi and buffed the spell damage by 100. So a permanent 300 spell damage when running Elfbane and standing in that ring.

I ran around PTS last night on my mag DK and honestly still felt pretty good and didn't feel nerfed. Then again I'm not an end game player but as long as I feel like I"m having fun that's fine for me

Depends on on your build. Thing is, on live, mDK doesn't shine by itself, it shines in conjunction with a certain build involving perfected Asylum destro and Elf Bane (and preferably Zaan). Asylum destro was just nerfed hard and Zaan is not affected by Elf Bane anymore. So, mDKs who weren't running this build will perform the same, but then, they weren't using the full potential of the class that was putting it so far ahead of others on live, that's all.

My Grothdarr Elfbane BSW solo main seems unaffected. So I think I'm going to be ok.

You act like I can’t either. I wouldn’t comment if I didn’t know what I was talking about. I do mainly pvp these days though cause pve gets boring af. And comparatively in pvp, many classes out perform it. Not all, but most. So chill with the crying lecture.

in pve maybe, in pvp its another story, it feels like zos made a thousand little cuts on the mag dk, for example the bloodspawn nerf, and the vamp cost increase, there is no mag dk in the world who will be able to sustain that. Mag dk sustain will look even darker than it allreay is. Mistform is also gone if those costs go live.
Dots still hit like a wet noodle, molten whip still has the most awkward prok condition in the game.
zos took another 10% away from every healing in the game and guess what, unlike the necro, the sorc and the nb (w there are classes in the game, like mag dk, magplar, that dont have other ways to mitigate dmg.
