I think it's interesting to see if people actually back up their complaints about performance, balance, etc. with actual deeds. Are you spending money on the game right now (ESO+, pre-purchase DLC, Crown Store)? Are you fine with its current state?

I didn't spend on anything since almost a year ago.
Performance is poor in both PVP & PVE.
    Combat balance continues to degrade.
    The list goes on.
Though I'm still playing so I give a chance to ZOS.
Some videos I recorded for fun: Main character:
PC EU main: Universe - AD magicka Sorcerer, Former Emperor, Grand Overlord, The Merciless, Trial Bosses Solo Champion
Top alts: Genius(stamina/sagicka Dragonknight) The Force(stamina Nightblade) and other chars.
PC NA main: The Magic - AD magicka Sorcerer

I enjoy this game for many hours every day. I play content that is fun for me (which excludes pvp, and anything "endgame"). Yes, if you choose to excoriate me, I am a "casual". I am also a "whale", as I'm retired with a very nice income, and I get to spend whatever I want to spend having my fun.

This game is effectively my "retirement hobby". I love it, and I'm very happy with it. I don't have any of the issues others have, so yeah....

I have ESO+ because the game becomes an inventory management simulator without it. I buy the new chapters because I like exploring the new zones and doing the story.

I am not happy with the performance of PvP as it is basically unplayable.

I support the games I play. ESO is the game I play and having a blast. I will say, when I hit 810CP I will be playing Cyrodiil mostly.

The games broken af. lol canceled sub. Got greymoor refunded. Bought shark cards. Watching New World Videos on YouTube. Waiting and thinking.

I still play. Duel to stay sharp. Farm Maelstrom for weapons. Go to Cyro until it sucks. Play other games.

ESO is a disappointment at the moment. The future does not look bright. But to stay on point, I’M not paying anymore.

Who would pay for something that you can't log into and when you can it crashes?

Stop with the new content zos no one wants it -theres plenty to do as it is and direct your time to fixing the servers and the bugs

I haven't run into any of the problems people are talking about..granted I haven't played PVP for 2 months because I am still opening rewards for the worthy once a day since last time I did.

There have been some annoying group finder and dungeon bugs that kind of just waste my time, but its not like I have much else to do with it atm.

I don't buy microtransactions or ESO+ but I always eventually pick up the chapters.

I stopped paying ESO+ a few months ago and now I am used to playing without ESO+, I probably bought the new chapter, but paying ESO+ again?

I don't think so, is an outdated model, needs a change.

Stopped buying crates a couple months ago... thinking of unsubbing but I already prepaid my membership at the beginning of the year so its kind of a moot point atm. Currently have no interest paying any more money for a game that keeps getting worse and no longer functions in the areas I want to play.

I'm still on ESO+, but I'm unhappy at the crippling of my Sorc & NB chars, so now I can pretty much only play my Warden (who has always been barely capable) and Necromancer (who is still the new hotness). New combat changes look like a disaster, but maybe those won't happen.

So I won't be buying crowns, that's for sure. Probably invest my ESO+ crowns into DLCs from now on, so I can quit ESO+ and be F2P at some point.

I swore long ago that I would never play a game if I had to pay a subscription to play it, which is why I didn't start playing ESO when it first came out. But after I did buy it (because it no longer required a subscription), two-and-a-half years of playing without the crafting bag eventually got to be so much trouble that I gave in and subscribed. I don't regret that.

As far as the state of the game, I haven't had the problems that other players have reported. Yes, I occasionally experience some lag or desync, but in my case it's definitely the exception rather than the rule. Also, I've come to accept that the nature of online games is such that there will occasionally be connection issues, just as with any online activity-- streaming video or music, for example. It's fairly common for me to be playing Microsoft Solitaire Collection, or watching streamers on Twitch, and have the connection drop momentarily or freeze up for a bit. So even though it's a very unpopular thing to suggest around here, I can't help wondering how much of this "current state of the game" situation is due to things which are beyond ZOS's control, such as the general state of the internet. It's fine and dandy if you've got an amazingly fast and powerful computer plus an amazingly fast and powerful internet connection, but even the fastest sports car is going to be forced to move at a crawl if it gets stuck in a traffic jam. The fact that the European Union asked Netflix and other content streamers to stream in SD rather than in HD or UHD in order to help prevent the internet in Europe from being overtaxed while so many people are having to stay home and work or play or shop online, should give one pause for thought.

Anyway, I'd like to see everyone be able to play ESO without issues, and I'd certainly prefer that things get better rather than worse, but for myself things seem to be working okay most of the time.

Well I'd BEEN spending money on the game. Today, however, I started to get flashes of loading screen more often than usual. It's been happening randomly for some time, but only maybe 2-3 times a in a 5 hour block. Some nights of 3 hours, I'd get none at all. Usually days and days of nothing, then a flash or two.

Then today happened. Today it was several times an hour, actually several times a minute. I couldn't even type. I'll be going through my computer to rule out any weirdness from my end, but if THIS continues... well suffice it to say that the money spending is definitely over and the game time will be on a countdown to extinction if it is not my computer causing this.

I love this game and am actually hyped for Greymoor, but refuse to give ZOS any money until it is playable.
As someone else mentioned I don't have particularly high expectations when it comes to online games.
I was enjoying Dragonhold though and thought this patch would be that with slightly better performance.

Sadly the opposite came into fruition and it has become completely unplayable.
Yes I mainly PVP and cyrodiil is the best PVP experience I have ever had... when it works...
I think I have had maybe 2 occasions this patch where it has worked and it is on that basis I can't give them any money until it works.

.As I don't care about PvP or any group content in this game, I am fine with it - the patch before the last one fixed most of the stutter issues and the monday patch removed them completely - so my game play is smooth again, I can go into crowded cities and will be fine - it's really enjoyable to play like this again - now a class change token would be nice to have.

I had ESO Plus for years, I recently cancelled it because of the Iceheart nerf and the constant PC/EU server issues despite the "performance improvements". Now I can see that these "improvements" are just an illusion, they can't fix the dying EU servers, we need new ones that can handle a bigger playerbase. Where did my money go? Use it to get better servers! I'm not going to support Elder Scrolls Offline. No more DLCs/Chapters for me but I'll stick around because I still enjoy housing.

Well .. although loading times can sometimes be very long (esp NPC's like bankers or quest givers can be notorious), the performance once I enter the game is usually quite ok. It hardly ever happens that I suffer lag in dungeons, for example.
Also I don' t do PvP (except to unlock some skills) so I don' t suffer where apparently the performance is the worst.

What mmo games are nicer than eso? I can' t really tell. I played wow gw2 eve and a few more but eso isn't bad.

I think that in terms of their "Free to Play" format that ESO is one of the best. ESO+ honestly feels very rewarding with free crowns each month, the gathering bag, ect. Like, I feel like I get my moneys worth with ESO+

I don't flat out "buy" crowns though, but I do pay for the subscription because it feels worth it BUT also not like its necessary. I feel like I could play the game just fine without it.

I'm curious. Since you don't PvP or group up, (so, I'm guessing, NO trials and FEW vet dungeons-no DLC vet dungeons at any rate). What exactly do you do in game? I'm straight up curious.

I'm still getting a lot of fun out of the game. I'll be buying Greymore.

I'm not entirely happy with the game's current state. It could be better, and the improvement work that ZOS is doing shows that they think it could be better too.

I've never bought a single clown, as I strongly object to this model of monetization. I bought the game during early access, bought its expansions, and subscribed for around 4 out of ESO's 6 years. The only times I haven't been subbed are a 2-year break I took after several consecutive poor content updates, and the time since last December when I thought enough is enough with the issues plaguing PC-EU.

There are two possibilities now. Either ZOS can fix the game to a point where I feel I want to stick around; or I'll just drop it again, and may it aggressively monetize its way to MMO heaven.

Hard to say really. I haven't spent any money on ESO since Christmas, but that's because there hasn't been anything I wanted to buy. I don't buy dungeon DLC because I don't play dungeons enough for it to be worth it, and there hasn't been much in the crown store which appeals to me, so I still have over 6,000 crowns left from last time I bought them. I was considering Forgemaster Falls, but then real life got busy and by the time I got around to it the house had been removed, so I guess that's out of the question now.

I would get Greymoor but since it's just a zone and story with none of the extra features previous chapters have had (basically it's a story DLC) it seems overpriced and there's no incentive for me to get it on day one. So I'll wait until either a sale or when I'm more caught up on the stuff I've already got and ready for a new zone.

I wouldn't say I'm unhappy with the game, and I'm certainly not consciously boycotting it. But it's increasingly seemed like ZOS don't want money from players like me (and maybe don't want players like me in their game) because I used to spend a lot on this game buying zone DLC, costumes which look like clothing the NPCs would wear, pets and mounts which look like actual animals, hair styles etc. Now I'm down to 1 DLC per year and only really buying the occasional furnishing.
