Well skyrim seemed to have more gruesome corpses around. And actual blood around them. Also semi buried body bags of all kinds, etc. I don't think I seen any blood in here on corpses. They look like just a sleeping pose. Adding blood would already add a great deal to make it more real and creepy IMO

Not on corpses, but some of ground in the squares around Sunhold had some heavy blood staining.

Europe can be pretty picky with gore - it wouldn't be the first game from Zenimax, which got censored in Europe and had to be changed - happened to Fallout 3 for example - where even the english voice acting was removed in Germany - no dismembering and pretty much no blood. Other countries are picky with use of alcoholic beverages or drugs (alchemy) or the use of poison as a weapon or on weapons.

We don't need it more gruesome than it is - it wouldn't help the story and eventually hinder some people to play it legally.
