10 times worse? Are you suuuuuuure? That's a lot of times.
To answer the original question, the game has got better and better overall, reflected in its growing population, while performance in Cyrodiil hasn't improved and may indeed have got worse - although for every one player complaining it is unplayable there is another player complaining that his campaign is always locked.

I’m not quitting necessarily but my interest wanes...
I was in Cyro, and it was ok...as in I killed a bunch of folks. However, 1 fight sticks in my mind. I tried to Leap this dude and it didn’t go off after 4 tries. Killed him with something else.
Another fight, I was kiting through some trees, fighting and every other skill wasn’t going off. No matter what it was: light attack, whip, RAT whatever. Left Cyro. Thought about what I’d do next? PvE? Been doing a lot of that lately.
So you rather have them go live with a potentially worse issue that can lead to even more and larger problems... logic?Hi everyone,
As you may have noticed, we recently adjusted the maintenance banners to indicate there is no longer a PC incremental patch scheduled for Monday, March 9. While we were performing final checks for the build this afternoon, we noticed one of the fixes was causing some new issues affecting combat. We have made the decision to delay the incremental patch until we're able to fix this issue and ensure the patch is stable.
We’ll let you know when we have a new date scheduled for the patch.

I would hope that ZOS would be on top of their game. That they wouldn't create issues every time there was a major update. They do concede there are problems. Truly, I believe they are working on them even.
However, when I login and play, my completely min/maxed, tweaked to the last stat toon simply cannot do the same things it did before Update 25.
Block drops, at the wrong time. Light attack won't fire at times, so weaving is out. Leap, IF I can get it to fire off at all is slow. Skills in general are "lucky if it fires at all." And that's in lagless pve. Solo in a dungeon with 60 fps (60 hrz monitor) with 83 ping. In lagged out Cyro it's like fighting in goo.
It's just not fun. That's my point.
Ask yourself, you rather them push maint. through tomorrow, with them already confirming that it has even more combat issues attached to it to have that already added on top of your current frustrations?
As well, honestly, a side of me really wants to see them push the maint. through tomorrow as is, with the newly discovered combat issues and everything. Just to see the reactions from those who complained about the maint. being delayed and yelling "shame on ZoS for delaying, it should be released no matter what issues are attached."

Well then that's you 👍 the majority of people and the content they want to play is unplayable... Try some endgame PvP or pve and see if you still have the same opinion. I haven't spoken to anyone involved in endgame having a good time with this patch.
Six years of nothing but a downhill slide of worsening performance, expecting some new "Performance Improvement" initiative was not realistic since nothing has changed at ZOS. They're just here to milk the casual pve'ers and rp'ers who haven't had a new ES game in a decade through their cash shop. The sooner you come to terms with it and move on, the better off you'll be.
I really don't want to go through the effort...but I'd really, really like to get my money back for my Greymore pre-purchase. I've spent over 3k in real money on this game, and in return, I get the promise of a patch. (you read that right, over $,3,000.....do the math, almost six years of $15/month, every expansion, plus several crown packs per year, it really adds up.)
If they could patch their way out of this debacle, they would have by now. I'm convinced the only thing that will work is a complete rebuild of the game from the ground up.

I was suffering memory leak and someone suggested closing the launcher after booting.
It helped, I haven't noticed it as much anyway...

I'm not saying you are wrong, or not entitled to your opinion...
but even this forums is a small percentage of the players in this game.

Yes, we just misunderstood what they meant when they said improve! they are improving the (amount of ) performance issues!
I took a year break from this game because of performance issues and I decided to come back this week to see the changes. Within 2 minutes of playing I can already tell this game is 10 times worse than when I left. Abilities take 3-5 times activation to work, lag is way worse than before, and it seems there are way less people in pvp. I just want to know what happened? Did zos finally just take the money and run?

while i dont do cyrodil pvp i do partake in end game pve and still its far far better than it used to be.

Boy do I wish; there are so many better games out there that actually are based around PvP and yet here a lot of people are acting like Cyrodiil is the center of ZOS's universe and they don't have any other end-game content available.
Let em finish their performance update plan and we will see where it goes; if things don't improve at the end of all their adjustments then yeah it's a good time to riot. But executing a plan in steps is better than doing it in one go so they aren't playing the game of "Which part of it went wrong?" Do it in pieces so you know which parts go wrong and you can fix the part before adding another.
I don’t know why you’d say that. If you like MMO pvp what would you suggest? A lot of good elements of this game are a continuation of DAoC and I like them. There really isn’t an alternative, WOW has always been a joke for pvp, what else is there?
If it wasn’t for performance the game would be decent.
Yeah WoW pvp is pretty terrible. It's like they don't even have tournaments that pay a crap ton of cash. Probably don't have tournaments for PvE either.
So does minecraft, it doesn’t make it a pvp game. Any 2 faction MMO wasn’t designed for pvp, it’s that simple.

That last line... "the people who are not having any issues are Not going to post here." I couldn't have said it better myself. They aren't here complaining because they're in the game, busy playing the game, having fun. And I'm one of them. I've spent a lot of time looking in the forums but it's full of so much hate hate hate rhetoric that it's really not a place I want to be anymore.
Sorry @Saucy_Jack... you're doing a lot of work trying to make forums fun, but I just think people aren't going to use the General category for anything else.
Peace out. I'm going to go play ESO.
I don't know, maybe I'm the luckiest player in ESO but:
- I don't have much lag, most of it is due to my own connection bugging out.
- My skills work, I press the key and my character does the thing, my animations cancel as intended, etc.
- Battlegrounds ques work fine and are faster than before the big patch.
- Same with dungeon finder ques.
- Battlegrounds don't lag, and the skills work there too, I even win some matches.
- Overland content works ok, as always.
- I don't know about Cyrodiil, I rarely go there, but when I do I don't really get any game breaking lag.
- Imperial City works ok, no lag.
- What else? I got some crashes right after the patch, nothing major, mostly during logging out or exiting game. They are gone now.
Ok, now to be fair I do experience some bugs:
- The worst one is that I sometimes get stuck with my weapons drawn out. I can't interact with anything then, the only fixes I found out is to either jump in water, die or relog. It happens 0-2 times per playing session, it's not that annoying.
- Weapons land at my feet during swap. It happens mostly right after loading the zone, although it's quite rare for me.
- Running on horse. Mostly just after loading, stopping and starting again fixes it. I doubt it'll be fixed, and it's quite embedded in ESO's culture right now so I'd probably missed it if they did fix it.
- NPCs load slower and sometimes I have to wait till they appear/finish their animation to interact with them. Mostly happens right after I relog to do the writs, not that much or even never when I'm questing or running dungeons. A bit annoying but not game breaking and may be due to my own hardware too.
- After the patch, the compass hologram on my Baadari senche "lags" behind, see pic.
- I have to agree again on various TOSes during the game launch if I get disconnected due to my internet bugging out. That's mildly annoying.
And I think that's all the issues I experience from the top of my head. Maybe I'm just that lucky.
