What AD ACTUALLY see in Cyrodiil

They seem to have 0 spacial awareness, an enemy could be next to them and they wouldn't even know, so many times I've seen 10+ ride past and do nothing, NO I'm not dueling I'm trying to stay alive long enough for help

I'm a little confused. Did the AD ignore a fellow AD player who was in need of help? Or did they ignore an enemy who wanted to fight?

Either way, I suspect its answered by the same reason I ignore solo players when I'm riding: I've got an objective to get to and I'd rather not miss that fight/tick.

Try 10+ all rode past him, me being the stupid *** attacked as always and then 3 others rode past, 1 probably stopped to watch and another in sneak

They didn't want to interrupt 1v1. Looks fine by me. I won't put interrupting 1v1 near major fights as some crime in Cyro, but not interrupting is ok as well. Funniest thing when you 1v1 some long long fight with magsorc in the middle of nowhere, then some guy from your alliance appears to "help", you stop doing anything, sorc just nukes him in 3 seconds and you continue duel :D
And then you remember that you were like that nuked guy not long ago :D

after nearly 5 years I've given up trying to figure out what AD thinks and switched to EP. ADs primary foci seem to be never pushing north (so they constantly have to defend), and being toxic with each other.

But you forgot to mention another case. Let's say you see several AD cats moving in stealth and then you see several DC/EP arriving. You attack those DC/EP expecting your cats will at least spam snipe in DC/EP. Nope. Nothing. They just sneak around with puzzled face expressions and die/run if DC/EP stumble at them.

Other fractions like to sit in stealth too, but how AD kitties are doing this.... it is incomparable to anything.

I’d never interrupt a 1v1 unless the person just zerged me down. I too would have watched or kept riding. 10v1 is pretty cheesy, faction loyalty or not.

Doesn't matter what Faction I am on (only have one of each lol) I pick and chose my battles. Even if they are to help or not.
I'll normally help if I see a request for help. Last time I helped when no one asked for it, got a very detailed whisper involving a colonoscopy, kathater and me sleeping with the slaughterfish afterwards from the fellow alliance member.

So, I'll gladly cheer for you, and throw pies/mudballs at them cause boo the enemy faction!

It is all tricky situation. If there is 1v1 and then arrives player of comparable skill, 1v1 is broken immediately because another player just withdraws. I.e. nobody gains anything. If arrives unbuffed player who dies to 3 spammables.. I don't saying he is bad player or anything, most probably it is PVE-build who came for 50 transmutes and eager to get them as fast as possible. But if you will try to "help" him instead of stopping you are immediately in huge moral disadvantage - because it suddenly became 2v1 and if you lose eventually you will lose in 2v1. And if you win, you win in 2v1. That's why everybody just stops and allows opponent to fight with newcomer alone.

    It’s called strategy.

10 of us are stealthed waiting for 1. our slow healer/siege bubble to arrive to start siege; 2 the keep to empty out; 3 for something else to burst to draw away the zerg.

You attack and give away your position. We are all going to sneak away and leave you to die. You have no sense of strategy.

If you see half a raid in stealth, think about it, maybe it’s for a good reason.

3-4 cats randomly moving around in stealth doesn't look like a raid. More then that I don't expect them to tank for me - I am calling all fire on myself and have things ready to tank some big pressure for some duration. I don't get it why they don't try to focus down from range somebody who I put on low HP. They don't even sneak away!

But they resurrect me and each other. Feels that they are like combat medics from World Wars. Now, I don't want to compare ESO to World Wars and all the victims and heroes of those wars. But this cats behave exactly like combat medics (usually women) who crawl around battlefield, helping soldiers, moving them out of fire if they are shocked by explosion etc. But never participating in fight.

Faction wide player generalizations are always comical to see. Especially by those who truly believe there is actually some kind of hive mind mentality at play that can accurately characterize the behavior or playstyle of a player depending on what color is above thier head.

For the most part, I won't jump into a fight that is even (1v1, 2v2 etc.) or if the enemy is already outnumbered.

If I were the one fighting 1v1 and you stopped to help, 9 times out of 10 I'm backing off the fight.

Your nerf suggestion is dumb. Learn to counter other players instead of having the game rebuilt to your ability level.

This picture also describes your awareness of the playstyles and goals of other players. Don't assume they didn't see you. They probably did. Just because they didn't stop for one fight doesn't mean they don't have a goal in mind. Stopping for that fight may delay an entire group getting to a siege or defense. There is no guarantee of being able to mount after that fight, slowing down progress even longer. If a single enemy can tie up 10+ players long enough to stop a siege, wouldn't you say that is an unacceptable loss?

I'm a primary pve player that dabbles in PVP, and I always find AD to be the underdog/weakest 9/10 times on Xbox NA. It always just feels like we are either on the defensive or getting out offence push crushed by bigger zergs.

The dominion is only weak when Razum Dar doesn't show up to kick ass. when Raz is there, he looks around and every enemy in the entire zone instantly drops dead from his sheer handsomeness.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    Inbred Milk Drinkers (EP)?

You attacked a solo player and expected aid. Sorry but if it's a 1v1 I ain't helping you unless your battle is right near my objective, like a keep or whatever. You gotta remember that we aren't YOUR personal army, we are all working towards an objective on the battlefield.

i've been Aldmeri Dominion since day one and I got a firm grasp on how the battle usually goes by now. So allow me to help you understand abit with this picture.

Also for full disclosure: AD usually has 3 scrolls, which is why both EP and DC attack them so much.

Hi Maya! Sorry to hear you felt that way about your stay on AD. I've been AD since beta, with one recent exception.. an old friend of mine wanted to run a small group as EP for a bit, so I finally created an alt (you can faint now @Delsskia 😉) Delsskia was always telling me to create an alt.. but, this one I created to run as EP.. for once in all my years playing this game.. and honestly, I felt like it was about time I saw how the other half live.. I felt I owed it to myself to not be so one sided or narrow minded about the factions. Only ever seeing it from one side was limiting my view.

I have friends on all factions and it was actually really pretty amazing having this first time experience..
my heart has always belonged with my original toons in any game and in this case, it has been with Delph on AD (I never create alts, shocking I know).. but, I felt I owed it to myself to at least experience it at least once before I say farewell ...

I thought I would get so much hate.. I expected some major negativity from many players.. on both sides..
but, you know what? I didn't.. except one.. and that was from someone I never thought would say anything to me.. but, it wasn't really hate.. more of a snide comment "supposedly" meant for someone else, but quite blatantly and clearly sent to me so I would see it.. not at all an "oops, mt"... it was more of a "shame" tell than a hate tell... but, regardless, I really don't mind.. I mean, I get why she did it.. sometimes people really feel betrayed..

At any rate, what I did find was a very welcoming faction and I had quite a lot of fun. I had a hard time fighting my AD loves, so I mostly tried to stay up North and just defend/heal/repair/place camps.. and of course, I never stopped being a part of my faction.. but, I am truly grateful to both the EP faction for being so kind to me and my AD family for letting me go for a bit and have this new experience.

I am back on AD as my friend is not leading groups atm.. and my guilds and friends are still on AD.. as is my husband.
but, I hope maybe one day you'll reconsider and come back around, if anything, just to visit so I can run with you again..
or who knows? I still have my alt...
